Won't load without internet! Enjoyed the usefulness of this app over the last few years, but this supposedly offline map app now requires internet connection to even load. Once loaded successfully, it'll work without internet, but I really need it to work without internet and this is a critical failure. Regretfully I'll need to find an alternative.
I like the community idea, but it feels like old Garmin navigation. It can't find specific addresses in smaller villages without street names, it is laggy on older devices and it lacks a lot of features in comparison to other navigation apps.
My bookmarks are no longer being backed up. And, I can no longer save my bookmarks manually as a kmz file. I have four years worth of bookmarks that I do not want to lose. I can no longer export them or upload them. I have reached out to support on several occasions and have never received a response.
Excellent app, never let me down in many years of use. Offline maps are all accurate (in Scotland and UK at least), and the app only ever seems to improve, unlike so many others!
I live in Roswell, NM, USA, and the map is SO outdated, it's not even funny. It's like it has the version of Google maps from 2010. I think looking into updating some areas like Roswell NM would be a good idea. It would certainly raise my rating.
The best mapping. On par with Google maps for driving, much better for walking, hiking... My primary maps. But please, don't put borders there where countries aren't recognized, especially by the UN. Would be 5 star.
Not a good start During my first go at using the app I was directed to turn down a road that didn't exist (it was a foot path) for a 30 min journey. St the next possible turn the system re-routed and adjusted my journey with a ETA of 15 min.
In the dark mode everything looks black. The colors, like green for parks, should be more bright and saturated. Otherwise thanks.
No idea why but whilst following a preselected route everything starts OK with the app routing me clockwise around roundabouts and then halfway through the journey it switches to routing me anti clockwise around them.
A lifesaver! Easy to use and understand, and love the option for metro, too! Veryy helpful that it can be used offline.
Extremely imprecise. Doesn't show lanes. Impossible to use in the city. Highly lackluster offline version. Uninstalled.
Works well offline - a common situation for me. Update has lost ability to export bookmarks to other users in human readable form. Looking for alternatives now - company failing users.
Such a great map for hiking and biking, discovering new trails, places to park and go walking. Much better than Komoot.
Poor experience. There are much better alternatives for using Organic OpenStreetMap. Using ads and selling user data is never good business model.
Used to love this app but there's seems to be some bug now. Many times when I want to add a bookmark, it's not available.
It works very stable, I satisfied. I downloaded it because I faced with Google maps problems for walking navigation.. So here in this application everything works great 👍
This is a really great app. I used Gaia before stuming onto maps.me and thought why not give it a try. Been quite pleased since. Detailed maps, ok ux, and offline capabilities. Keep up the great work
Great map source! Works much better than Google Maps because it doesn't require me to have internet working when using it.
I love the app and it's very accurate but in the next updates we for hope satellite view and recorrection of saved maps

Amazing app, really useful when you are unable to use your phone data and need to navigate.
Had this app for many years and it has been invaluable for travel abroad, camping, bike touring. That being said, it can be very frustrating to use, and updates will frequently break the functionality of the app. "Download area map" notifications that cannot be removed and obscure map data, randomly losing map data and bookmarks that are in phone memory...it's a frustrating experience. I know you're finding ways to monetize (which is valid) but can you not break what made it so great?
2019: What attracted me was that it's an offline map. But after a few months use it began telling me I must be in a tunnel. Every single time. It only worked when I was online. 2021: So I finally upgraded when I stopped being able to download maps, and the new version doesn't recognize my bookmarks or my downloaded maps. And I still can't download maps. It doesn't work at all!!!
Tried version 8.3.6 on Remix (PC Android 6.0). I am waiting to use the route guiding on a phone before changing the rating. Offline search worked surprisingly well (southern France rural area). Offline route generation is basic, but very fast and perfectly accurate in my case for car, foot and cycle, with the usual glitches of many routing applications (generating a car route when there are only footpaths). The maps to download are small in size (small areas) which is a benediction when using a very slow Internet connexion. This is a big advantage relatively to MapFactor (unable to download the maps, the MapFactor servers closing the connexion after a certain time). The maps are better than the ones of Mapfactor. The route shows the altitude graph, perfect for foot and off road cycling (Mapfactor doesn't offer that). Overall a good surprise for a free application with free easy to download maps. Thanks to the developers.
