The app worked great until the latest update on march 10. It is now completely unusable. The app will either not load the movies and theaters or it will ask you to resign in and then an error pops up saying a fingerprint file is missing. It has been over 2 weeks. You couldn't have at least walked back the update by this point?
Difficult to navigate if you want to limit to your preferred theater. When you look for movies for a certain day in your preferred theater, it also lists movies that aren't showing in your area but you don't know that until you click on them for show times.
Super convenient way to book a ticket and order food ahead of time. (Never waste time in line again!) Only wish I could store a credit card. I memorized my card after having to look it up so often for the app. 😅 Also getting ads after every purchase isn't amazing.
App designed for convenience of company not end user. People who are not comfortable with Mobile technology will find this impossible to navigate. It works Find to purchase tickets. It's clunky when when buying food but works. Unfortunate, You cannot look at the menu unless you have already purchased tickets. There is no chance of finding help in the app if you Need assistance. You will have to download and use this app if you wish to purchase any food or drink while at a movie.
There no longer exists the option of buying a meal at the theater from your seat. You have to buy meals/drinks through this app. The issue I have with this is after the first 15 minutes of the show, you can no longer purchase food/drinks through the app. Food brought to your seats is what set this company apart. From now on, if I want to purchase food/drinks DURING A MOVIE and miss parts of it, I'll go better movie theaters.
5/26/2022 - Updates have made the app much easier to navigate. ---- Switching dates is cumbersome, particularly when you want to look a few weeks in advance.
It is still great to purchase the ticket at the counter But if you want to by pass the counter then bye your tickets online. Plus eventually you'll get enough points for a freebie movie, or use them for whatever you want at the theater. 11 days and already having to update. Yeah updating again.
Since the update I am required to log in each time I open app and it keeps telling me to add a fingerprint. I do not want to use a fingerprint. It is a pain to have to log in each time especially when I need to pull up tickets to enter theater. It was much better before.
This app is fine, the theater is great. The IT person who setup rewards ID numbers separate from email is dumb. I now have multiple reward IDs and cannot log in without calling since I don't keep a physical card. So I bought tickets every time from AMC that doesn't have an extra layer of stupid login bs.
This app with the $15/mo MovieFlex+ is a great way to get food delivered to your seat and see free movies, however, sometimes the food ordering portion of the app fails at the end and the free MovieFlex films don't show up until you log out and back in again. If they fix these two glitches (and remove the promo 3rd party stuff after ordering tix) this will be a 5 star app.
This worked perfectly up until a few days ago. I'm signed out every time I close the app now, and cannot sign back in until I re-choose my theater preferences, every single time. Fix this please.
Much improved since its inception. Easy to use, added option to order food ahead of time is a huge plus, makes going to the movies a lot less stressful. It's easy to find a movie, the showtime you want and select seats, and pay. It would be nice if it worked with fandango. As it is, tickets purchased through fandango don't appear in my tickets, even though the points are given. Please create a way to use points when making food purchases through app!!
Ever since the update, the app ligs me out after every use. Worse is that you can't log back in until re-selecting a nearby theater, and skipping the preference screen.
The app added popup ads after buying tickets. I'm using your app to buy your service. The cost of the app should be paid for by what we're paying for tickets, not by ad space to some pretty sketchy looking third party ads. Also, the payment fields must be "named" incorrectly behind the scenes. My Google pay automatically fills out the payment fields on all my apps and browsers. Puts all in info in the right place for every one of those, but not this app. On this app, it fills it out all wrong.
OK app but buggy and the user interface could be so much better. Selecting seats is pretty bad and clunky, fandango does it so much better. It won't let you use more than one gift card for food. Very slow overall. Moving to new dates to find showings makes it reload and take too long for each new day. When buying food it does not remember theaters close to you or favorite theaters and you have to scroll through all the states to find yours. It makes using my MovieFlex subscription difficult.
The app is complete trash now. Won't save sign in and requires a confirmation number every time you pull up your upcoming movie ticket. Very disappointed! Go back to the previous version.
What a pain to use! They put a QR code to download the app, it would be nice if they had one that filled in most of the questions asked before you could get drinks and food. App kept crashing defeating the reason I came to this theater. Worst movie experience I have had.
Overall the app works and I'm able to order tickets. Loading takes quite some time though. I feel like it lingers on page changes for too long. BUG REPORT: I cannot add another theatre to my "preferred theatres". The heart functionality used to work, but now pressing the hearts does nothing. Also, to be nitpicky, the movie posters are incredibly compressed/small images. You should be able to deliver somewhat higher quality poster images without killing app response time...
App refreshed and tickets were booked for today's date. I have the option to refund and re-purchase but not to change the date on my current tickets to avoid being charged twice in one day. Is there any way around this without requesting a refund?
Let me save my payment information, hate having to type it in each time. Also too many "offers" to click no on after buying tickets.
Most aggravating app ever. 2 times now I click on my local theater and purchase tickets and then find out it switched to Addison, IL. Uninstalled.
App updated. Can't get logged in. Reset password multiple times. Tried to create new account but says my email is already linked to an account. Makes sense but then why won't it let me in?
I would give 5 stars if I didn't have to click thru 4 ads to compete my purchase. Now I have 4 new companies I won't buy from due to their spam ads.
Cannot log in. It's requiring me to register a finger print in order to log in. I'm not doing that. You must type in your user name because if it auto fills, the app won't recognize it. Can't use the app.
Overall, I think the app works great. My three little quibbles would be: 1) when they have promos on candy and I need to reload the app to see what it was, any basket that I've built for concessions is emptied, 2) Marcus should get rid of the annoying "offers" (read: ads) that you have to click through every time you purchase a ticket, and 3) it's always so confusing figuring out how to navigate to the qr code for my movie which is different than what is needed at concessions - just link it all.
