Could your so-called support be any more confusing???? We have used ESET for years and years, but now it's nearly impossible to determine which of our devices have protection, and which ones don't. When we replace a phone, there's not clear path to switching coverage from an old phone to a new one. I'm sure ESET understands its online support, but we sure don't.
Recent update has caused a persistent Android notification to show whenever apps are updated from the Play Store (it's been showing for about 20 minutes for one app update). The notification is for ESET scanning the app updated, but it shows entirely longer than the scan could be taking. The only way to clear is by rebooting my phone.
I used to make fun of a guy for using Eset way back in 2011. Doing vast research non ad related android paid Security. Now here we are, 10 years ago, 100's of apps. When I saw the logo, it all came back. Just get the pro version for both accuracy and value, it works. Works well.
Can't enable antiphishing. I am a premium license user. I am not able to activate phishing protection in my device. It's asking to enable accessibility feature. But not telling how to enable it in the phone. If it works, I would give five stars. UPDATE: Antiphishing enabled. It is scanning all the websites I visit in protected browser. Helpful support Team. Thank you. Highly recommended.
Been using eset for years. Got authentication error enabling new feature. Filed trouble ticket, response 2 days later said reinstall eset. After reinstall can't log into app at all. Went to live chat support at Noon on Friday which says they're offline because it's not between Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. PST which is totally wrong. No number to call. Nothing. Not impressed with my first customer support experience.
The Mobile AntiVirus is great, BUT the anti theft feature is EXTREMELY BUGGY! Somehow my phone ended up locking up due to the anti theft feature to which I could not deactivate it. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me and the second device. I recommend Eset, but do not use the anti theft garbage!
Fantastic app. Have left feedback in as many places as possible because other potential users need to know how good this is. 28/4/2022 I've now tried a host of other options in the last 18 months and here we are....right back where we started with ESET. It's just the best.
Reduced ring volume bug was fixed eventually but it took a very long time. Support were ok but not that interested, official forum post and my previous review was ignored with nothing more than a cut and paste answer which you can see multiple copies of in this very review section. It's a decent AV, I've used it for years on desktop but I've found the recent experience rather disappointing.
Antivirus is working properly, no problem but in notification sometimes it hangs and continue to scan while the scan is complete inside the app secondly in AppLock segment fingerprint system is not working you can open the lock using pattern or pin very disgusting. I want to say repeatedly the main problem is in AppLock system to not use fingerprint, you must fix the problem thanks
After the last update, couIdn't reach my phone. unfortunately had to reset factory my phone. The worst thing I ever experienced! I couldn't login my phone, cause of Eset was frequently executed and closed. I didn't forget my password. Just because of the breakdown of Eset!!!! The link you sent, couldn't help me as I uninstall the Eset app.
First off this antivirus is awesome from what it offers at a free base value I havent had any experience with premium so I wont comment on that. But the biggest thing as that the free version carries zero trackers like avast does, i found that behaviour though duckduckgo antitracker. Thats why I switched to Eset since. And I think if the Devs of eset continue this I will go for premium 100% privacy is super important to me and eset respects that
Since the last Android update on my phone the notifications like e.g. scanning a new app are not getting closed after they are not relevant anymore. This is only valid for the last notification. I have currently a workaround to disable and enable them again.
I don't know if I am safer but I definitely feel safer. Use it for several years both on my pc and the phone. One star off is for the price: it appears that for almost the same price I could get a license for 10 users on Bitdefender, which according to the reviews seems to be on par with ESET.
Excellent anti-virus security for your phone and your computer. It doesn't bog your system down like its competitors do. You don't even notice it's running in the background but it is and it works so good!
I e had this mobile security for over a year now and honestly love it. Super easy to use, doesn't slow down my phone and all around great protection. It's why we use ESET at my workplace as well.
Works well. Seems not to have a big overhead. Not many alerts so far (good). When installing it kept going to pe ding installing rset home first see med to work. 5 devices (phones / tablets) for one subscription ...Good value
A good app as long as it's free. Once you pay for the app it becomes annoying with tactics nothing short of coercion. Best advice is not to buy the app, use the free version unless you specifically want some of the paid features. Google provides browser protection on your mobile device, it's not necessary to use a third party app such as ESET for redundant protection. ESET finds it necessary to make it a nuisance that you are not using their app for browser protection. Time to move on.
Still with latest update issue persists. After phone restart, anti phisihing disabled and I am not able to enable it. I need to restart again. I need to do multiple restarts. If this issue still persists then I will be unsubscribe this app
I have used Eset Mobile Security and Antivirus for several years and have had a lot of mobile phones and tablets. I always feel confident that I am fully protected.
Totally blown away. It's easy to understand and operate. It actually does work. I don't have 1 single complaint. Again totally shocked by the quality. I do pay for the premium and even got a 30 free trial. I don't have to worry about my phone laying around. I finally feel safe with this app. Thank you ESET.
I've used eset for the past ten years when it was on version 2.0. Its very intuitive and really easy to use.
Now obviously I can't speak for the efficacy of the encryption algorithms, but allowing the user to open apps on a virtual safe overlay. Encryption of wallet apps and active threat detection. It's a must have when connecting to wifi networks that you don't have control over. Quite affordable also.
I contacted support for 6 months that my app said I had a trail version I told them it is a paid app. Now I'm locked out is it. They then sent me 4 emails with 4 different license numbers at 736 am. Now I have to wait for response of which 1 of the 4 are mine. Poor poor support
After a reboot, sometimes the lock app works again. Other times it doesn't. When I have to reboot all apps after an update because it stops working partly, I won't. I have better things to do than to reboot over and over again. It is sad. The computer version is good but going to change that also when license is finished. After every update the lock app is not working. Sad thing is CS never answers.
