When I first got this game, it was fine, but now every time I open it the battle and character graphics are all messed up. On the map screen, the entire left half of the screen starts out black, but then when I start a battle, it becomes just a white screen with different light colors mixed in, like it's TRYING to load graphics but it's failing. Funnily enough, the enemy health bars show perfectly, but no monsters underneath them. Sounds are also intact. I don't want to play it like this fix plz
Fantastic, but... The game is fun and all, but I always have to update the game, but it stops on my phone. If you have enough patience, I would wait until the loading screen froze, exited the app, and went back onto the app. Rinse and repeat. Either that, or use Steam on a computer and download it that way. A computer handles the game much more smoothly and the graphics are better.
I find the game itself to be extremely good. The graphics, gameplay, story & frequent events. All factors that inspire me to play a game and continue playing is in here. You don't even need to spend to be strong. But my downside is I am playing this on android version 9 and I struggle daily with visual bugs where the animations don't load, only the HUD does. Even when it's set on low graphics still same result. I have spent money to support but I might drop soon just because of this.
i have been playing the game since day 1. enjoy it so much! unfortunately, recently the game always ask me to download additional game data everytime i login. to make it worse, the amount of additional gane data is enormous! 4GB!! what a joke! i managed to solve the problem by restarting the game for several times. but still it was so annoying. the game itself is wonderful! superb gameplay, graphics and story!
Don't waste your time. The initial download will simply slow down and eventually stop completely. closing and reopening the app after 10-100 files (of several thousand total), will occasionally resume only to fail shortly after once more. Still, occasionally the app will start the download from scratch if you're unlucky. I fell for that several times until i realized that if I closed and reopened a second time, it will resume instead of downloading everything again. All in all, a waste of time.
I love this game, but when it crashes, everything has to be redownloaded. Almost daily, I have to redo the almost 6GB In-game Download, and it gets really annoying. If this is because every update requires a complete redownload, I'm not sure it'll be worth it to play with that limitation. My WiFi isn't slow, either, and it still takes a very long time to download.
The game is pretty great, nice graphics, an array of moves/classes, and the combat system is fairly easy to understand and use, though what keeps me from giving it full praise is that, every time I close the app, it forces me to download the same update over and over again, it gets really frustrating too when I want to just play it on the go, hoping thats an issue that gets fixed soon.
I can't get it to work. Seems like most of the other people here, I also have problems with the updating of the game. It downloaded the prologue and then it stopped working and closed. When I opened the app again, a notification popped up saying the app has stopped and it closed the game automatically. Hopefully this will get fixed soon as I was really looking forward to playing this game especially with the new Final Fantasy X collaboration.
This app was a good blast from the past with a good contemporary and relevant narrative. The visual design and format of the game reminded me of 90's gameplay, especially with the multiplayer functions. It then felt like a renewal and update to that world with a narrative that was pretty philosophically charging, even for a FF franchise installment. That being said, I loved it for that reason. I remember reading FF narratives and feeling like the writers really were playing the role of artists..
Game is amazing. Gameplay-wise is fun adictive and pretty simple, although, like almost every f2p out there, it relies on repetitive and almost pointless grinding many times. With that said, the story is... eh. But they seem to be pretty self-aware, with jokes about the pacing and all, so it is funny in a very FF way. The visuals are astouding. Graphic-wise, is one of a kind and the Final Fantasy Aesthetic is very present. Sad to see this one go, but, since launch, it's been one helluva ride.
I wasn't even able to play the game. Needed to have a 6gb update and the server download is quite slow. After getting halfway through the download, it decided to delete the update progress after my phone screen when black from being idle. At that point, after waiting for three hours, I gave up on it. I love FF games, but honestly can't deal with this.
Used to love playing this up until 3 days ago. Upgraded my phone to a galaxy s10 and transferred my account over. Played a bit and went to bed. Now every time I open the app it wants to do a 4gb update, which crashes at the halfway point. I'm connected to a stable home wifi access point and this never happened on my much older phone. Can't enjoy a game if I'm stuck staring at a loading bar that will never reach its goal.
Great game, with a major hiccup which causes me to delete it: this game is taking almost 5Go now (without sound!!), my phone has no more room to make other app updates, even if all pictures and music are on my SD card. Should there be, in the future, an option to restore data to the minimum like most other games, to give us the option to update only little by little as you progress in the story, then I will re-download it.
I've noticed a lot of people getting salty over the gacha mechanics and heavy graphical demands of the game. As someone who loves square enix but resents pay-to-win games, something about the way this game is structured feels right. Without any story spoilers, the game basically tells the story of a unique warrior whose skills make them the chosen beyond their peers, and the idea of a random roll of the dice to decide your skills actually feels very well suited to this game. Maybe I just got lucky but after a few rolls I had everything I could ever need to power right through the game. Also, if the screenshots havent made it abundantly clear the game is high in graphical demand and you shouldn't download it if your phone can barely process the animations in your system's UI.
This is a very interesting game. At least it would be if I was able to actually see any of the moving graphics. It might be because I'm using a tablet, as its basically the only thing I can atually try an play the game on because of how much space is needed for it, I downloaded it a second time and still no graphics. But with how far into the tutorial I got, it was interesting and seemed simple enough. It would have probably been really fun to play.
This is a very high quality traditional jrpg. It is turn based, requires planning and strategy for high level content, but is still easy to pick up. I really appreciate how the most rare and valuable things in the game are never outdated, thus the game is very friendly to the players and it is possible for anyone to play competitively, even if you don't spend. I used to avoid spending on the game, but now I started to spend money on it because I want the game to last and continue.
I'd give this game a 5 star for sure. But the big fail for me is the fact that I can't even update it. I've uninstalled and tried to reinstall. Tried closing the app and trying again. Nothing is working. The update system is terrible. And I'm even playing on an s9. Not to mention the frame drops I was getting during gameplay. Not good. Please fix.
Uninstalled and reinstalled and the picture is still blurry and doesn't show anything like it did when I first downloaded the game. Everything worked fine until it asked me to update it. I have a newer version of Android so it shouldn't be doing this. When you fix the problem I'll redownload and try again. Please notify me when the bus have been worked out. It could easily be a five star game if it would play the way it did before the update. been awhile. you still haven't fixed it smh.
Fantastic game. With patience, one will not need to spend money on this game. Too many updates these days. Especially considering the updates hit a certain point, then I have to restart the app because it will just stop downloading for some reason. Just add a bit of code that checks the connection during the download of an update, and attempts to reconnect with the server when disconnected. The current code makes updates or downloading on a new device very tedious.
Having played this game roughly from day one, I can say this in the most genuine way; this game is one of, if not the, best mobile games available. It isn't by any stretch a pay to win game, while there are (obviously) micro-transactions, they're not a requirement to proceed past a certain point of the game, they're there purely to speed up progression, such as deck building and jobs. The story is fantastic and the overall graphics are brilliant for a mobile game. Highly recommended.
This game is really amazing. The graphics are great, the gameplay and storyline is very immersive and the ability to choose your class is done very well. My only complaint is not being able to buy magicite. Whenever I go to buy anything I get an error and cannot complete the purchase. Other than this one drawback, the game is truly amazing.
It's a great game but... There's just far too much space it takes up I'm asking (and it might never happen) if you could give an option to download a somewhat lower quality version of the data like with opera omnia it could save a lot of space on my and other people's phones.
I've been playing this game for years, and I can't find a reason to stop. However, there is one glaring problem I have with the Android version. Everytime I launch the app it has a 4gb download. I have to reset and relaunch the app multiple times before it will even launch. My game is always running the most recent version of the app. I really wish this bug wasn't a thing.
I've been trying to download the updates for weeks, but it keeps auto turns off and I have to restart from scratch and also it's very slow to download especially when these updates are 4 to 5 gigs big, square enix you need to figure this out. Until then I'm deleting this game, due to the constant unnecessary downloads. Thanks alot!
An amazing game with a great storyline full of laughs, wish it didn't shutdown as I didn't get to finish the story myself. The crossover events with the different final fantasy titles were awesome with the way they all incorporated various features from those games. I had the Cloud, Sephiroth & Squall hero skins which were cool to use. The multiplayer features were also fun. I hope this gets re-released for the Switch & for PS4/PS5 and PC as a full product like they did with Crystal Chronicles.
The initial download process is a huge pain, as it crashes frequently, is very slow, and the download seems to "start over" after it crashes. The latter point can be fixed by closing and opening the game again a few times. You won't have to redownload the game this way, though it is still very annoying that this needs to be done in the first place. SE should really fix these bugs that, unfortunately, hinder people from playing what I think is one of the better and unique mobile games out now.
