I've been using this app for literal years and I still think it's amazing, but the amount of ads now is insane. I'm fine with banner ads, and maybe a full screen ad after you've gotten to where you need to go, but full screen ads whenever you do anything?? That's just too much. I was even hoping there was a fee I could pay to get rid of the ads like in most apps, but that doesn't even exist. This is the best public transportation app I've used, please let me use it.
The app is very useful BUT the amount of ads became unbearable. Full screen splash video ads are especially annoying. One has to wait 6 seconds then click skip and then find and click x just to get to the start screen. All that in addition to regular line ads. Also there is no way to get rid of ads. I would probably agree to pay a few bucks to remove all ads but such option is nowhere to be found.
The app works exceptionally well, updates not only the tradic, the changes in all lines etc., but also provides information concerning the regulations on national level, which is extremely useful during these days of pandemic. Edit: I am taking away one star, since theere are very intrusive full screen ads, which can't be removed in any way, and they are causing real frustration because if the time wasting, when one is changing bus or is In a hurry. Create a paid option, but not this.
Solid app for navigating the urban landscape with public transport. The reason for 3 stars is that the ADS are obnoxious! Developers, please tweak the way the advertisements pop up. The timing of the full-screen ads that pop up is just terrible. I understand this is your revenue, I'm not asking to remove them, but please CHANGE them. Thank you.
Moovit works pretty well in Australia and is a strong competitor to PTV and Transit. I like that I can set maximum walking radii in minutes, that's a feature many other transit planning apps don't have. But I don't like that the app doesn't give me hybrid rideshare/transit routes when planning out future trips. Hybrid trips involving private cars and public transport are an important part of commuting particularly in greater Melbourne and regional VIC.
The Ads are horrible. They are full screen and impossible to navigate out of. It ruins the whole experience and wastes times requiring the user to tap and be directed to playstore over and over again. Overall, I used to use the app religiously but recently I am looking for an alternative thanks to the horrid ad situation.
So I read a lot of reviews and everybody is entitled to their own opinion. So, here's mine... Seems a lot of negative complaining. I look at the positive side. So, some things are not going to be perfect in navigation etc...So, that's when you call customer service, because each county (Transit- service) is different.This is a app-computer not a person. That's when you do your part, research. Can't always be the app, to do it for you. Now for the most part, it's a really great, and helpful app!
Ads when you might need to chatch a last-minute bus/train??? Are you kidding me??? Also, there used to be a feture that allowed for the departure time to be set to some point earlier in the day, extremely useful in case the route/app closed in middle of traveling. That feature no longer seems to exist. Really liked this app prior to those 2 issues.
A larger ad, above another smaller ad, above another one! Really? I would rate it zero but that is not possible. It has a cluttered interface that gets worse with the white ads that blend with the content. Out in the sunshine you accidentally open ads all the time making it the crappiest app of its kind on the go. Oh, and the results aren't accurate too!
Unreliable information. Shows non existing rout Of bus lines. Cost me more than once an entire day's schedule. Poor information quality. They don't cross reference or verify information. Wouldn't trust them with my credit Information. *edit As it happens to be, I did have to give them my credit info since I was looking for a carpool. Of course it didn't go through (unreliable) and no payment was made. Now they make it a hassle to remove my credit card. Only use it for lack of better choice
The ads are horrendous nowadays, not only it keeps opening other apps, but also you can't close some of the ads until several seconds later! Imagine when you are in the rush to check the bus schedules but now you have to wait until the screen even allows you to close the ads, what a terrible experience.
The app changed to the worse, if it's inaccurate schedules, can't look retroactively before current time anymore, bad gps, since it's based on google maps, there just doesn't seem to be an alternative... Oh and there's the thing with intrusive ads which play sound in silent mode (some candy crush for example)
It used to be great but there's just too many ads now, it's slower and it interferes with actually using the app. It's now gotten even worse, and the ads are sometimes bugged, you can't close them and you can't back out of them so you have to close the app and start over. Will switch to maps, I suppose.
This app for me was absolutely fantastic for example I have to get on 2 busses a day and one day the 2nd bus stopped coming one time and this app then told me why. Its absolutely great except for the ads and the reason for that is they've now added new ads that make it almost impossible to click off them so most of the time now I just restart the app. Other then that the app if fantastic
I had previously gave 5 stars to the app but recently the "set departure time" function was altered and is now impossible to define either routes or see the buses that are coming since they are mostly always late. Even if they aren't, sometimes its useful to set up the initial departure circumstances (place and time) and from there change the chosen route to a more adequate, which is now also impossible to do. I find that, at least for me, without this function the app has lost a lot of its use
This app it was great for a long time. It used to show you the time of arrival and counting the minutes down until the bus was at the bus stop. But, lately if the bus is late doesn't let you know and, I keep on looking at the time and does not shows any green time. Also doesnt shows other times if is late, its nothing. No happy! Now 4/4/22 does not work at all. No mins time, no trip. Why update when it will not work. They really messed it up.
Been using it for over 3 years now, just recently been using its barcode payment option and it's pretty smooth. Some lines won't appear and then will at the last minute, some won't appear at all and still come though the stop but that's pretty rare in my case. Overall a 5 star rating.
Ruined. About a year ago I rated this app 5 stars and recommended it to people as a great transit app. The app has recently been slower and less accurate compared to what it use to be. Worst yet, they implemented ads recently. Whenever I am running late now, instead of being able to check if I missed the bus or not immediately, I now have to watch and ad before I can check. I will not be using this app anymore. Super disappointed they chose to profit instead of being the best tool it used to be.
The app is good, but doesn't show all the ways you can go to a place, just a few. Also, I research for a place one day and it gave me a completely wrong direction, thankfully there was nice people around and it was early. Because imagine if it was late at night? Kinda dangerous, especially to me, that I'm woman.
The app is very good but it has details that can be improved. First. When you are at the stop, you have to show the bus correctly at the stop that passes, for example. It is at the stop where PAULO IV passes, so you have to show Paulo IV and not his other route, which is Terminal Bandeira. And another one is missing some points where buses pass, like it doesn't show it, it understands Lapa / Peri Peri it stops at Pça Isai Leiner stop, 131. But it doesn't show in the app. Is it possible to fix th
Terrible app, you can't pay for the bus from every place in the app, and you need to flip and search until you find the pay button. Once you find and press the pay button it often asks you to type the number of bus you just boarded and was searched via the app just minutes ago, and now they have full screen ads that are extremely annoying. I found a new much better app, bye Moovit, I won't be missing you...
Very convenient. This app combines bus, Lyft, Uber, biking and walking estimates to destinations. It tells me the bus routes and times without me having to check 2-3 different sites. It also gives ride share estimates. I can even purchase bus passes directly through Moovit. This app is amazing.
Lately the app changed to the worst. Not just the annoying adds that makes you miss the bus (the premium version won't help with this, find some other way to make money), but the schedules are completely off and every bus is either at the station five minutes earlier or ten minutes later. The drive is always much longer than anticipated and the app that used to be the best and most accurate is not functional anymore, it's impossible to trust it!!
