Useless app, and can't get rid of it, or at least move to the SD card to make room on the internal storage, because it's part of the system (bloatware). It has no flash setting, or allow photos to be stored on the SD card. The absolute worst camera app I've ever seen. The latest update requires addtl permissions.Why does this app need my activity history???
This camera app includes a few features, not too many, and the ability to tap on your device's screen and take a picture makes using this app easier. Also, the inclution of a seperate button for dealing with QR codes, contact cards, etc. is MUCH welcomed! People were having trouble scanning such items in with this camera app, but now with this button (and maybe some tweaks to the app), this function should work now. 😉💕👌
Not as sharp as it should be at times. Will blur on words 70% of the time, even if the focus and lighting circle in the center focuses it, it blurs 60% of time anyways. Video quality is not as sharp as when originally bought. I don't think it's a dust issue.
When the camera works i get beautiful pictures. lately the camera quits and i can not take any pictures. it keeps telling me to restart camera. I don't even get that option. i can't even uninstall it. the all of a sudden it works again. so diappointing & frustrating.
After years of testing - THE best camera for Moto X Play. Is it great? No! Far from it. But no other app acquires and maintains focus as well as this one. Moto X Play does not support manual/advanced camera controls, no matter what app you install. "Moded" or not. It's because it doesn't support Camera2 API. I've tested OpejCamera, Proshot, the newer Motorola Camera (com.motorola.cameraone), you name it... Cons: No ability to select storage for photos. I should give one star for this!
I generally used to like the app but now whenever I try to take a photo or video it crashes. I think it has something to do with the SD card falling out not long ago but I can't get it to work and I don't know what to do. PS: I have already tried to reset the phone and uninstall and install the camera
You can take a picture. It lets you zoom, but thats it. Can't turn on/off flash, no adjusting for light, no filter. its basically a polaroid.
I am using motorola set from a long time. Its camera is not working. Everytime it says camera is busy and restart ur phone or camera option is not seen in the app. I had spent a lot to correct it but now i know it was app problem. Imagine a smart phone without camera. Seriously irritating and problem creating. Please help me something.
I am totally frustrated, the camera keeps turning itself on and drains my battery. It is happening more frequently. I swnr an w-mail but no response on what the problem is or how to fix it!!
It never focuses on what I'm trying to take a picture of!! Other than that, I would say its a decent app, but a camera is supposed to be there to take pictures, and if its not going to take any good pictures, then might as well not take any pictures at all!
Hey developers, i need help with the camera, every selfie is mirrored even when I don't want to have mirrored image... i don't upgrade my android system... my moto g3 is still running on Android 5, it is not handling the latest version of google app. latest version misbehaves on my device. i am unavle to undo the moto off screen actions... i need help pls help me.
I'm writing this review only because of the experience I had with this moblie( moto g3). It has been 3 years that I've using this phone. Still works Amazingly well. As an ameture photographer the camers is awesome. I like to take snaps of cool stuffs, luckly with the HDR effect I don't even have to edit the picture once I clicked. No words I'll give 5 out of 5 for this camera magic.
Buggy and doesn't have many options. Motorola wasted a good camera with this app. Functional, Yes. Better than any other phone on the market, or at least eaual to, NO!
I would like 2 share my same xperience using Moto X 1st Generation in Malaysia ,bought it 2014 ,2015 August the camera App stop working after my update as all of u facing the Same issues, Error on camera App after Updating Software frm Kitkat 4.4.4 to Lollipop 5.1 back Camera App is unable to Launch,& till today 2022 Motorola is Unable to resolve Moto X Camera App problem. Truth is Moto X is a Gud Simple smartphone, But Please don't update software After KitKat, it will ruin everything.Tq every1
The app is not letting me take photos. Every time I try and snap a picture it closes the app. I have tried restarting the app and checking for any updates, but nothing is working.
Horrible Camera! The lighting was never correct~ black was blue, orange was pink, white was yellow...ugh. I downloaded 2 other camera apps and the difference between them and the Moto camera is amazing!! Love my Moto X but hate the camera!!
Very bad quality . Also features to zoom and options are represented very badly Also . If you click anywhere it capture photo that is not reliable option to capture .😭👿
i am an old motorola phone user and was happy with the features but from two or three days my camera is not working at all it always says restart the camera or phone i have done the same may be hundred of time but nothing is happening and it says same everytime it is very very unprofessional
It worked well for 3 years and stopped working. Now it opens rarely and it gives a "Camera Error" display and say to reload the camera!
It'd been hard using camera for sometime now... Displaying unable to start camera.. Maybe camera is in use by another app. which is not true.. I tried all mode of resetting, and its still same for Weeks now
Not user-friendly. Can't take a quick photo. For all the options (except exposure/contrast), you have to carefully swipe from left to right, and then an arch appears which again has to be rotated like a wheel to choose your desired option and then make a change. It's the same for Flash too -Auto/On/Off (Come On guys! At least you should be able to access the flash option quickly. You have to make 3-4 moves for this: "Swipe, rotate if needed, Choose, & Click" to change flash. Why can't it be changed by doing a simple tap on the flash indicator on the top left corner of the screen. Even WhatsApp Cam has that!!). To access recently clicked photo, you have to swipe again (from right). Recent updates have made the app much better - like being able to access, edit & share the recent photos.
