Movie Collection

This app is great. It is possible to transfer your collection from one device to another but I only figured that out by reading the reviews. You must share the file to your new phone with the cloud sharing via Bluetooth. Once you have shared the folder under your downloads section there is a folder called Movies Collection > backup add the file you download to your phone into this folder and then open your app and the file with all your movies will be there. Click import and then it's done!

Paid for this app, initially loved it great interface everything working as it should. The backup function doesn't work, I can't see a way for it to work when importing to another phone. Which means once I move phone of mine stops working I've lost my entire collection. I've sent multiple emails to the developer that have just been ignored. I just want an explanation of how to use the backup function, if it even works. I can create a backup, but the backup won't open in the app.

No further support expected, the app is lovely but after switching two phones with no update to correct the current problems. I've lost hope in any further updates to make this the great app it once was. No matter how many time I have run backup and transferred the file to the new device. I still have to go through and add over 1000 movie and tv covers. If they could fix this the app would be A1. I'd look for an alternative if you want something long term, I am.

So far I really like the app, but the only thing that's holding it back from being the best that I've tried, is trying to scan VHS barcodes doesn't come up with anything even though it has a feature for it. Also when scanning in complete series of shows, it defaults to Blu-ray and you have to go in and singly select each season to which format that is. But the best thing about this app though, is it shows what format of the movie that you own in multiple formats.

I love this movie collection app. There are just a few details missing that would make this app a perfect 5 stars! 1st, it should recognize and add movies that are part of a collection like the Back to the Future trilogy for example, and be able to add it that way rather than having to add the individual movies. 2nd, the barcode search should allow manual entry not just the scanner. And lastly please remove the character limit on the reviews! it makes it impossible to write a proper review!

Really like this app. I paid for it and overall happy with it. The only thing I wish it could do better is to display the 4K logo when manually edited. It also needs a "Digital HD" and "Digital Copy" added. Please update. The UPC scanner needs to be refined. Sometimes I scan & rescan several times to find result. Half the times I have to manually enter title & search to find. I also run another similar app along side & that app finds what the this app couldn't.

The app looks great. And adding a title automatically adds most of the wanted info. But that is were is goes wrong for me. Adding a title via scanning takes minutes and bulk scanning isn't available. So it's scan, wait, add, wait, go back to list, scan, etc. So this one is not for me. I've found another app with bulk scanning that's much faster.

There is not a way to import a backup file from a previous phone. I reported this issue via email from the "contact the developer" selection in the app March 7, 2018 and never heard back. Today, I went to check and see if the issue was resolved, it was not. I did love this app when I could use it. I have over 300 movies. I'm not going to add them all again.

Great app! Only reason people complain about it is because they weren't smart enough to be able to transfer collection info to a new device. I shared the backup file from old phone onto new phone using quick share app already on android. It saved in "my files" in phone and you just have to move it to the movie collection folder on phone. Open app and can restore backup.

I have looked for a program to catalogue my films for years. This Is it. However it does list what I have. It simply lists your films. The barcode scan takes time. Simple titles - one hit wonders - easily found. For those with remasters, double disk, 4K, Special Editions, FS vs WS. That is NOT recognized. BUT. That you can edit. You can organize films by order alphabetically, by entry date, etc. It does provide beautiful information on each film via a IMDB variant. Patience is required.

A really beautiful and useful app. I really like the fact that it shows and describes each episode for each different season of a TV show or documentary. But we cannot edit the episodes and their content. I hope it will be possible one day, because the database used is not very accurate for non-English shows and documentaries. Another very useful improvement would be the ability to back up everything, including the images, and also to export the entire collection in a pdf ebook.

A definite must have for movie collectors. I used to buy movies twice because I forgot which ones I had. Now I have the app on my phone and I can check as I go along. No more doubts and also missing out on those movies you're sure you have, only to get back home and find you don't... Easy-to-use, regularly updated and well-worth buying the FULL version.

The app is pretty easy to use, but there are two drawbacks... One is fairly easily overcome - it sometimes lags on adding a title via the UPC scan and the only way for it to work again is to log out of the app and log back in. The second is that OLBUAPPDEV must be swamped - sent an email via the app back on January 14 about possibly hitting a title limit even though I've got the unlocker and haven't heard back yet. *** Got a response via email. adding a star.

I've been searching for about a year now for the best movie inventory app, and this is definitely it. After you get used to how things work, you'll find this app works great and allows for some neat visual customisation options and smart optimisations for organising your collection. I'll likely buy the unlocker soon, as my movie collection is quickly reaching the 40 film limit set by this free version. Don't let that number scare you off though, this app is well worth downloading.

I was using an excel spreadsheet for my collection before finding this. I collect VHS tapes. This has all the movies and all the formats. Lots of sorting and filter options. Keep in mind that over 40 movies, you have to buy the paid version (only $2). Great app that helps with organizing my collection. Highly recommend to collectors.

Amazing app! Very fast and a lot of styling capabilities. A lot of bang for a few bucks! (2€ unlocker for more than 40 entries) Near perfect movie cataloging app. Wish only that I could mark movie as favorite (for example, as it's done for "seen" movie) and mark would be visible on list and tile view (eg star symbol). Developer, keep on good work and ignore unfair reviews from people who don't understand, that you can't watch all full movies for 2€ ($).

I had high hopes for this app but when I scan a barcode, it simply doesn't recognise the film. I tried a dozen different films and it doesn't work. Plus, to enter every film into the database is far too laborious. Glad I didn't spend the money on the full version. Fix the issue and I'll upgrade.

The app itself is good, but still lacking on features that should be updated like video format type (HD ready is not a legit format) and editable TV shows episodes. The episides no longer update so have no new entries for episodes and can not physically add missing episodes. Have to delete and redo again jut to get itbto update. No year entry for either series name or episodes

Organized my collection of over 2000 movies.....☺ I tried transferring to new phone via cloud, email, bluetooth, but only 75% of covers transfered and no thumbnails. I love this app can this be fixed? I also wish TV movies would pull up in TV so I can put like the Stargate TV movies with TV show....

lost all my movies on two phones within a year. got a cheaper looking movie catalog . it works better. 49 movies gone. DONT USE THIS... they just disapeard! This is response to your support dept. I don't clean my application data in android settings. Iam a seasoned computer tech. I only go into settings when needed. The advice from your company was wrong. Free ver. There was nothing to restore. I need help.

Just tried this out. Wanted to add movies. I thought the barcode scan would be quick. It does nothing but add the barcode. Can't it find the movie and show the picture of it like others can? Tried several movies. Maybe thats a paid feature, but i sure wouldnt risk wasting my money to find out. Deleting and moving on

Fantastic app! Finally found something easy to keep a full list of movies owned in different formats. You can create custom lists also, which is great. And it's absolutely worth it to buy the full version, that way you have no limit on how many titles you enter.

This is a great app so far, except for the scanning part. When used, no movies are found, but when the title is entered, the movie is found. I used this on about 2 dozen movies and not a single movie was found when scanned with the barcode reader. Please fix this and this would be the best movie collection/database app as of yet.
