Here we go. I have been with Consumer Cellular for about 6 years. People still nice. However the customer service is hit or miss. In past consistently whoever you spoke with knew their phones and knew technology. Hit or miss now. I see focus on AT&T network and was told t-mobile only for out country situations. On phones. Feast or famine. Top line or very low level. FOR first time thinking alternatives. PS found app frustrating so just log in to site directly
Can't log into my account, ever! Every time I try to log in I have to call CC to have someone help me log in. And each time they tell me the issue has been fixed, yet the next time I try, I have to go through the same song and dance again! And good luck trying to get a hold of a live individual. When you do get a live person, they are very nice and friendly and ever so helpful, but in the meantime it's very frustrating not to be able to sign into your account when you want or need to!
This used to be good, but now I can never get in to see usage and meanwhile they claim I am exceeding my usage. I'm about to switch providers it's so bad recently. Customer service used to be good, but now the app says call, and then the support people say they can't help!!!
"The custom error module does not recognize this error" It is impossible to go into account info within the app to manage things like EasyPay. This has been an issue since I joined Consumer Cellular in mid-2021. Fix it now, for the sake of everyone here. It works perfectly fine on iOS but any Android device I try it does not work and it's not my account even my grandmother's account won't work.
It doesn't keep up with usage information. Recently I'd been using more data and I received an email for data usage warning. The app shows less than 1 gb however I was actually at 8 gb.
I requested that my payment date be changed.It wasn't.I also made a request to have my voicemail code changed It wasn't.Getting through to Customer Service is more difficult than any Government Facility !! Needless to expand.Your service is the worst I have used.By the way,I was in Customer SERVICE for 23 YEARS.
I have been locked out for days, it won't let me reset my password, I've tried other devices and a laptop through the Internet. Customer service is completely useless. Seriously thinks of changing providers
Horrible customer service, completely impossible to even get as far as to set up a sim card which is something that with every other carrier is a no brainer.
What the hell. Bio / password doesn't work. You used to be so easy to use. Tell your genius (I use that term loosely) tech guys to fix it. You want your damn bill paid, fix it! I may find someone else.
Nothing but a run around. I've called and tried to set password. It is not working. Trying to look at new phones and all I can get is acipy of my statement.
No useful function at all. Plus - no matter how many reps tell you that CC supports conditional call forwarding, don't believe them.
Well, since it is my carrier and it is by far cheaper than any of the mainstream mobile data providers, I have appreciated it since we first signed on.
Everything has upgraded to 5g. I have 3g. My Samsung phone from you, doesn't want to connect to my wifi from another company because you have me on a 3g and like I said my 5g connection on my Spectrum wifi just did update to 5g.And you are charging me for using my wifi. You want me to use mobile data. and charge me for that! I need a different phone! What am I supposed to do?
App is no longer working right since recent update. Can't access my account info beyond usage & have to go to website to login again.
Sounds bogus, the prices aren't the same as I got from a phone call I made to a consumer Cellular phone number in an ad in AARP the magazine.
The app use to allow you to research new phones - no more. Service is not what it use to be.

Joining them was easy but departure was challenging. This review is for the service and not the app. Talk and Text were okay but there was a very poor connectivity using their Data. As an example attaching a picture to the text and sending it took a long time then you get the error "failed". Download and Upload speeds were below 0.5 Mbps in my area. That is something they should work on if they want to keep their customers.
Not so user-friendly. It doesn't save login credentials, requiring entering the password pretty much every time. Fingerprint not recognized either. On opening the app, a message pops up saying that CC is having technical problems, thus not able to access account information. I never know whether the app is displaying current data. The app does not meet expectations. If CC is interested, I can provide screenshots of all these issues. Just post a link to a debugging page where I can post them all.
Yes but although I only used the app on occasion, recently they have had an issue with passwords so I cannot log into the app or the website. And you have to spend an hour on hold to talk to somebody to get them to help you with the password issue that's on their end, not mine. So that makes this app useless when I can't login. I grew tired of consumer Cellular's poor customer service in terms of accessing my account or getting someone on the phone. Otherwise there were okay.
Having trouble getting into my account, it happens alot,I keep getting an error message
Can't login with the app. Can't connect with the website. Can't connect to the internet half the time. Tired of waiting hours to speak with a real live person. Terrible service all the way around. To add insult to injury you can't uninstall the app and reinstall it, only revert to a prior installation. Something is very wrong with Consumer Cellular. Even communicating via email has gone 3rd party.
I read critical first then my phone. Ok first y'all having sign in problems. Write down pass word then you can enter it. Secondly, this pandemic has lasted into three years and y'all complain about being on hold half an hour. You're chatting with a real person STOP whining. 3rd yes it would be nice to see the amount of data each phone uses. Maybe when Covid 19 goes away. I love CC yes the call back is not timely so.. stay hold and let them call ya back. It will be late and you say I'm good thanx
Meh, I can pay bill with this app, but when I go into settings to try and login into my account I get this error message, "The custom error module does not recognize this error.", which makes no sense whatsoever. Also you have to go into "settings" in order to logout, which seems counterintuitive to me. But since you can't login into your account I guess it's the only place they can put it. I'm satisfied with their service overall, but not overly thrilled by this app, hence 3 stars.
