I love this app the only thing I wish was that you could sync it with one drive Love the easy simple layout. I also love the different categories that really help lay a foundation of what you wanna do and where you want to go ( setting goals and getting them accomplished by making a plan, thinking about obstacles you may face, and setting actionable steps to reach that goal)
I really like this app, but would like to ask if there is a way to drag and drop between quadrants, it's tedious to have to use pull down menus and select to move, too many steps. Also, it is a pain to have to hit return so often when entering tasks, just return/enter would be better. But, other than this, I"ve tried several different matrix to do apps, and this is the best hands down. I have been missing having a desktop or web version until now, but just got a Chromebook too.
Thank you so much for the quadrant color update!!! I've flip flopped from countless systems that just weren't realistic or helpful enough and I always came back to this app for a bit. Reasons I would leave again were due to becoming lost in the navigation too often to build a habit, and my inability to associate urgency with the color blue instead of red. A feature to think about for future updates would be an option to attach photos to notes for a kind of integrated vision board. With ADD & OCD it's so hard to find an all in one organizer/planner that I can realistically keep a habit of using. Thank you!!💗
Idea behind this is excellent. Lots of meaningful details included, and different categories of tasks. However, navigation makes zero sense, is clunky and unintuitive. Adding a project w/o role or goal hides the project who knows where. Too many taps and screens for simple commands, where drag&drop or an icon bar or something would have sufficed. Home screen gives a nice overview of pending and completed tasks. Colours work well. Tonnes of potential, I hope these weird issues get rooted out.
I love this app. I've tried an insane number of apps and I end up uninstalling them all and always return to this one. This app has the best customization IMO for efficient goal and project management. My only gripe is the default view. The reason I tend to look for other "simpler" apps is because I want to open my task list and see all my tasks at a glance. Could you possibly allow the "First Things First" to be a default view? Also there is too much white space between the menu options and the current day task list. Possibly decrease the white space so that the user can see more of the current day task list. These changes would really add to the efficiency of using this app.
I hate to rate MyEffectiveness only 3 stars because the app is actually very good and among the best of it's kind. HOWEVER -- there is one major downfall for me. No cloud syncing from one device to another. There is an outdated "push and pull" saving and loading method / option that is awkward and just not worth the time when there are so many other apps in the GTD category now -- that DO have a cloud feature and your work will sync from device to device.
I've tried so many productivity apps, but this one is the best by far. I don't usually leave reviews, but the feature where you can record the roles you play (daughter, mother, rocket scientist, etc) and the goals you have for yourself in each particular role is life changing. It's helping me stay motivated while struggling with my mental health and the pandemic. Thank you for this app 💐
Great app! Even just for the Eisenhower matrix widget on (several of) my Android phones' home screen, it's one of the best. But when you dig into all the other options and features for having a daily task list or calendar widget, organising tasks under roles, setting items on your calendar... so much more, it's really one of if not the best all-in-one organiser app I've found!
I just read The 7 Habits, and this app is a start at capturing the 4th generation tool described in Habit 3. I liked having a place for my mission statement and roles/goals. However, I uninstalled the app because it was complicated and time consuming to transfer my goals from the roles area to the calendar. I envision a better interface as the goals appearing as boxes on a weekly calendar screen. The goals could be scheduled by dragging and dropping them into appropriate spaces on the calendar.
I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how this app worked. No tutorial, starter guide or even any help articles were provided and the developer has obviously gone to a lot of trouble to make this an in depth, feature rich app. Without out guidance however it is VERY difficult to navigate. I couldn't make heads or tails of it. Definitely not as straight forward as Eisenhower's traditional Decision Matrix.
If you are a seven habits buff, then this app is for you. It took me a while to figure out that this app automatically saves. The bottom of my screen gets cut off by the keyboard so it was unclear what too do next. I later found that I can just use the side bar to navigate. This app has every matrix and principal you need to stay proactive and focused. Please make an apple app so that I can use it on all my devices.
This is a great app and is so helpful for aligning my day to day activities with higher goals. If possible, I would like the option to remove the ads. I'm actually looking all around in the app to send money to get rid of the ads but no dice. If steady income is the goal maybe a subscription model for those who want the ad free version?
I really like this app. I think the organizing and prioritising is greatly achieved by following the 7 habits. But unfortunately, after a few days the app stops working for me and I'm unable to start it up on my Galaxy S8. I've lost my goals and actions two times already, because I hadn't backed up anything. Hope this is fixable.
I really recommend this tapp. Its unique utility is useful & thoughtfully organized makes it worth trying. If it seems complicated, know that completing everything immediately isn't necessary. Just work through the menu list & fill out what comes to mind. Your input should be dynamic to foster self-awareness to organize your time & decisions with deliberate efficacy. Mindfulness of the "how" & "why" makes most tasks more cohesive & managable. Who/what we are better reflected through actions.
Am very satisfied with this app. I'd like to get rid of ads forever, but I couldn't find that option. However, I get a weird screen asking for $1.99 to get rid of ads for 3 months, but a Google Play error says I can only use my Google pay balance in the US. Ridiculous, because I am in the US! You're losing income, maybe you can contact Google? UPDATE: Instead of Google Play card, I used an alternate form of payment, which worked.
Too hard to figure out, no tutorial or help guides. I like the roles aspect, but when creating a task there's no way to assign a role to it, which defeats the purpose. Don't understand difference between priority A and B if they end up in same urgency box. Simplify priorities. They either need to be done today, this week or whenever. You don't need so many undefined levels! I think this has a LOT of potential, but do more beta testing!
I have been using this app for a long time I've had to switch phones multiple times and been able to restore my information and the count each time. I just recently switched to an iPhone, and so far I cannot find this app and I will miss it dearly.
I really like the concept behind this app. It tries to combine a Mission statement and roles/goals with an Eisenhower Matrix with a task planner with a weekly planner with a note taker with the Pomodoro technique. But that's a LOT to put into one mobile app. It needs very careful user interface design to make all that work together smoothly. Unfortunately, the overall design isn't up to the task. It does not "flow". Even an experienced User eXperience Designer would struggle with making all that work together, and likely end up recommend focusing on doing one concept really well, or perhaps carefully combining two.
Champion Productivity / idea App - Easy Colors, CheckBoxes, are all there! The inner menu is smaller, but features are fantastic. You can set items as a 1 SINGLE ACTION w reminder 2 CHECKLIST OF ACTIONS 3 PROJECT OF SUB-ACTIONS (use this one for multiple stacking of sub-tasks). For those with an over-active brain, you can also store, fun, or partial ideas in the separate "Ideas Box". Clears the mind of recurring ideas. VERY USEFUL! Thank You! 3 X!
Very good app. Some minor improvements would be awesome. 1. Report of achievements in a visually appealing graph, with percentage of ambitions, etc. 2.Add title to workodoro , which can also be captured in achievements as it relates to weekplan. Basically would be good to see how you are doing in relation to plans. 3. Don't see any reason to add my influence as once you out it in there doesn't seem to be any further relation to activities. Linking that, reporting or highlighting would help
One shouldn’t write a review if one only just started to use an app, but I’ll do it just the same. Why? Because I think that the essential feature of this app is precisely the thing that is missing in all self-help and productivity apps: a truly operational link between plans and tasks, between principles and steps, between goals and actions. I believe that one’s ignorance of two things often hampers one’s productivity: how does one perform the task (thinking top-down; i.e., what are the steps), and how did one end up having this task in the first place or what does one ultimately want to achieve (thinking bottom-up; i.e., what are your ultimate ends that you are working towards with the current task). Even the GTD-method seems to be sidestepping this issue when it comes to turning goals into actions. In the present app, the relations between the two modes are better worked out by defining roles. The (social) roles that one has/wants/should/needs to fulfil are the person-related ‘contexts’ from which tasks emerge and can be understood. This addition perfectly complements the ‘contexts’ that help define a task, as is standard fare in GTD. In addition, the current app incorporates the notions of one’s effectiveness, influence and concerns when it comes to defining actions. So apart from defining one’s tasks in the proper order based on what is handy (giving the GTD-contexts), or by being conscious of one’s role, there is also room to overthink whether a task one has defined is, in fact, helpful towards the desired end (influence) and to what extent a task may have been impacted by particular concerns one may have. In that sense, the app can help us become more self-critical when it comes to pursuing our goals. So, in short: My Effectiveness is the missing link between ultimate goals and actions, and it supports (if you need it) a self-critical stance towards your plans. Brilliant! That being said, I find the interface cumbersome, or at least, it is a tad confusing to me. I guess contextual explanations would be in order, as would be ‘OK’ or ‘Enter’ buttons, so you’ll know for sure that you have entered your data. Also, I would greatly applaud a web- or desktop version. I think these improvements could make this app a great success, whereas now, I fear these things lacking may prevent some potential users from adopting the app. Perhaps the maker could connect to other developers? How wonderful it would be to have this app integrated with Todoist or Evernote (yes, I am daydreaming shamelessly here). At least having a seamless ‘working relationship’ with other apps (i.e., through templates, import functions, et cetera) would be a great idea. Alternatively, rather than moving towards with productivity apps, it could also seek interaction with self-help apps like Fabulous. Anyway, hats off!
This app has really helped me establish some good habits even allowing me to pass my CompTia exams and get my dream job. I am currently using the the beta version which uses a kind of minimal design that is excellent. The feature to backup my data to the cloud and locally is awesome. It makes switching phones effortlessly. I love the 7 habits of highly effective methodology approach in the app. I would like to see a way to export notes, ideas and journal entries to PDF or Docx. Thank you
1st day of use, Was looking for a focus matrix app, it's clean, usefull and the developer looks like he cares, love minimal adds but the dark mode needs to be better, I mean add a more refined deep black version for amoled screens? Also can't you add a Android wear widget for quick add to the app? Also please add fingerprint lock instead of just pattern. Very sweet app, Will update the review as I use it more Edit : A everyday to do list could be very handy, one where I can add a task 4m widg
While I think that this app can be really helpful, it does have some things that slow me down. First off, I can't even do the whole "Concern/Influence" thing. Every time I try, it says, "Empty Concern. Can't save!" Second, I would like to be able to edit my checklists just as I would my actions. Third, I'm not a big fan of the "Parent/Children" thing when it comes to the projects and checklists. I would like to have different goals for each "child". It's alright, but I had a hard time using it.
Sync failure. I am connected to my Google Drive. But the app said I'm not. Please resolve soonest possible. Syncing is very important to me. Thank you! Update: Developer contacted me immediately to assist. Changed rating from 1 to 4 stars. 1 more star waiting for problem resolution. 😄 Thank you once again.
This is the holy grail app of getting things done. The app is full of features like marking things urgent/important, pomodoro, checklists, project, actions and associated goals etc. I use the reminder feature a lot. The only thing glitch I noticed is when I use the remind me option by default it shows Today 9 o clock when I am creating the reminder at 12 o clock. All w/o ads. Not able to use the app because I can't clear done items. So decreasing the rating from 5 to 3.
This is THE app for your productivity. It has its pros and cons obviously. Personally I don't like too much functions. It could be simpler. But in general this app has everything you need. I searched for app that can be used as Stephen Covey's quadrant but found all I need entirely in one app, it even contains pomodoro(workomodo)! It's so simple ideato put a timer inside a schedule app! Why haven't developers of other app done it before. P.S. English is not my native language, sorry for mistakes
I like the super vision of one's life mission and all related goals and tasks. The idea is marvelous and a great app for The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People fans. However, it takes way too many clicks to make it a smooth ride and a few shortcut options. A recommendation is having a store box and drag and drop system for everything. Also it's hard to uncheck goals or "revive" them (and the reasons why one shall achieve them). Overall it has the potential for 5/5.
