My Movies Pro 2 - Movies & TV

This app keeps getting continously worse. I used to love this app, now I hate it. Multiple times has this app crashed now, won't let me add in movies because I have "no internet" even though other apps work fine, every time I go to take a picture now it shows the front camera instead of the rear camera and syncing NEVER WORKS RIGHT. Sometimes it'll say things like "Adding title 7 of 3" like that makes any sense. If it weren't for the features it has I'd be looking elsewhere for another app.

The free version of this app is worthless (for collectors). Just being able to put 40 movies into it isn't enough. The paid pro-version is awesome and worth the money, some might say that it's pretty expensive, i don't, because the app is really good. So why just 4 stars (out of 5)? Because you have to pay even more money (like 20€+) to unlock more features for the desktop-version on pc, not essential ones though, so the 8€ pro-version should be enough for most collectors and a must-have.

I was looking for a movie collections app and this one seemed to have more features than others and users have good things to say, so I went ahead and got the pro version. It does everything that say it does and it has been a fairly efficient experience to get movies or TV shows added. Basically. It's worth going with the pro version for sure. Highly recommend.

Good but could be more user-friendly, imho. I purchased the latest. Pro Edition. I have an Android. Galaxy 10+. I don't rememberhow to add a movie to Favorites. I did do so, at one time, but now cannot remember how it was done. Searched Help Topics, Forums, FAQ. Also, once you are into your Favorites Collection Screen, to revert back to your Full Collection Screen again, you have to uncheck Filters. Surely, there should be a much easier way to do this?! Other than that, I like the App.

I love My Movies Pro! It has saved me from repurchasing films already in a collection of 2000 + titles. Entering a new titles is easy and the graphics are great. Searching is fast and the ability to scan the world for films not released in my home country (USA) is very cool! There could be improvement in the app's frequent need to update title information. It is possible to avoid updating, but doing so locks out the ability to add new titles. With 2000 + titles, updates can be time consuming.

It struggles to scan taking a long time to focus. Also, it asked me to rate it every 10 minutes while trying to do my collection. My camera is not scratched, I have tried using the light feature, no light, lots of light, etc. I have noticed if I hold it really close then move it far away it gets better. I have used MyMovies on my Windows 7 PC and was hopeful when I found this app that I could use it on my NVIDIA SHIELD device. I am very disappointed that this device is specifically not supported by the app. It is a real downer for me that the perfect device to take the MyMovies experience to a new level cannot be used with the app. From a prior attempt to use this app on another Android TV box I find the experience very odd and crippled in a way that I cannot explain as a software developer myself. The app requires a WiFi network connection and will not stream movies from the much more obvious choice of wired Ethernet connection. In fact if the WiFi is not available the app will actively prevent the use of the MyMovies server when a connection should be quite capable of providing the necessary bandwidth and support for streaming movies. I find this limitation a major disappointment on an otherwise superb product line. What can be done to make the Android TV type devices supported for this app?

Nice easy app to use and very useful - especially as I have several hundred DVD's/Blu Ray's. Barcode feature particularly helpful! A feature I'd like to see is "Random Selection". Had a similar piece of software on PC which did this. If I was struggling to decide what to watch, I'd just click 'Random' and it would choose a film at random for me. A major future update I'd like to see is the ability to create a CD and Game library too (Xbox, Playstation etc.)

I like & use this app a lot. Very good interface & reporting item errors or omissions (rarely needed) brings a quick response - good to feel someone is there! I'd give it five stars if the collection list showed the user's rating & were more customisable: not bad as it is, but (for instance) I'd like Categories and Tags as an alternative option to Genres and Notes for movies, TV and discs. (Incidentally, it's Series in English, not Serie - singular & plural are identical.)

I just bought this app, installed it and started using it last night. We have probably close to 1000 movies in our collection, so wanted to catalog them somehow. This app was a game changer. So far, I've scanned 570 movies and it was so simple and quick. The only reason I didn't finish last night is because we're also organizing the movies in alphabetical order as we're scanning, so that's taking more time on our end, but this app is amazing.

Such a great app, worth every penny! Wanted an app to remind of the dvds I have when I go to buy more so I don't get any duplicates, and this app does that without having to spend out fortunes which some apps charge. They are quick at adding a dvd if it's not on the system which is even better, you can quickly get back to adding dvds to your collection. Highly recommended, haven't had any issues.

It's great for organization and references when out shopping. Linking family and friends you can make sure they don't have a movie you want to get them too. The purchase price is worth it. I used the PC version for years and now the app too. The app even makes adding/removing movies to you collection easier.

I like the app. It is a little less user friendly than I had hoped. I'd like to be able to see just the version of the disc I have not if it's available in multiple format. It would also be nice when performing serial updates that the app would continue in the series and not randomly dart from the beginning.

It has more features than what I use. But I really enjoy seeing the the movies I have so I don't purchase them 2x an update on my app. I can't give it 5 star because even with auto sync on, Ebert time I go to use the app like trying to s can a new movie it asks to sync. you'd think once your synced your synced until you choose otherwise. it is annoying having to sync e by time

I've tried programs like this before. This is by for the best. Fast and it is easy to locate movies. I like the fact it is used on a smartphone. It is also cheap. I bought a program for my laptop and it was $30. It was slow and required too much manual labor. Had to print out movie list. Not good for checking movies in a store before you buy them.

Works great! Only thing I wish app could do is separate individual movies from a multi movie pack. I own several 50 movie packs from mill creek entertainment and only counts as 1 movie when scanned. Typing in each movie separately is time consuming. And a pain if the movie is not posted in database. Other than that this program is pretty awesome. Worth buying it.

very impressed with how accurate it was by knowing exactly what version of the movie you have (4k, bluray, 3d, steelbook, dvd, etc.) love this app! totally worth the 8 bucks. love being able to see my collection wherever i am. No more buying the same movie twice. Also love the abilitly to sort by alphabetical, genre, actor, run time, etc. So cool! if you have a big movie collection and are a serious collector, you need this app.

This is the best dvd/Blu-ray library ever! I have used it for quite a long time. And it never let's me down. So easy to scan in all my Blu-rays, using the multi scan option. Now I can just open the app and pick a film. Rather than standing there aimlessly looking. If I could give this app a hundred stars, I would!! I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to organize their dvd/blu-ray collection! Thank you My Movies Pro 😊

I've been using Movie Collection & Inventory until now for a decade, but it had become very wonky & frustrating to use (missing cover art, bogus info, & not having a large majority of titles in their database). When I switched to My Movies Pro, it was a feeling of instant euphoria. I've uploaded nearly 2000 movies, & it's found all except for MAYBE 5. It has the country-specific art, information, & even some cast & crew stats. I'm extremely thankful that this app exists.

Fantastic company that gives you the ability to store your movie collection online for FREE!!! I've had my movie collection kept safe with them for over a decade so the least I could do was purchase their app and support their business. The app is easy to use and handy for those times when you make an impulse movie purchase as you're out and about and you can just whip out your phone and merely scan it to add it to your ever-growing addiction!

I've loved this app since the first incarnation, but lately it's become a bit redundant. Every movie collection for example Alien Anthology collection lists all the discs within the collection plus the actual collection title so that's basically a double entry of a single title with the collection and the titles within. Other than that it's a great app

Indispensable. Do I already own it, in 4K, who did I loan it out to... This answers those questions for me regularly and it does a lot more. Want to find something in your collection to watch but don't know what? Sorting by genre is a given of course, but I also sort and filter by time if I want to watch a shorter movie, or certain actor, director... And it's a convenient and attractive way to show your collection to friends. Boxed sets handling: excellent. Scanning titles: instant. Sync: fast.

I had another dvd library app that was a pain to transfer to another device and was no longer supported. I LOVE that this app is cloud based (I believe so anyway) so you can change devices without losing your library. Another nice feature is being able to share your library with others.
