This app has been insanely glitchy, which makes the camera not worh the high price tag. It's no longer notifying me about movement, which defeats the purpose. All my phone settings and monitor settings are correct. The app fails to load half the time as well, or won't connect to the camera. I've had the camera for 3 months.

Since upgrade it barely connects. The program goes blank. Wont connect or switch between cameras if you are lucky enough to connect. If i could, i would take this junk back to the store for a refund. Whoever made the upgrade needs to be fired! Update! This app has gotten worse. Don't waste your time. Even after upgrading internet speed and a better phone, it still sucks. The company tries to blame anything but their app. Look at all the low ratings; should be a big clue. Worthless!

App and cameras worked great when we first purchased and about 6 months after, then I installed the update and they didn't qork as well and they are getting worse daily. They barely catch motion unless it's a spider that has spun a web on the camera and they stopped recording and stopped sending notifications. Very frustrating especially when we've had a couple of instances where we needed to have video and there was nothing.

We love your service. It's been good. We had our camera for 2 years now. It has helped us greatly. The only thing is, it stop sending notifications. It's still recording. I do try to look through reviews to see what I can do to fix it before. I have reboot camera and phones. Even tried the Deluxe cam, still no notifications. It's been 3 or 4 days. I hoped it would work it self out, it normally does if there is any problems. Can you please help me... Thank you.

I have been using these cameras for several years but since the last few updates the app has not worked very well. I am connected and online, yet most of the time when I try to view events, it says no results found. If I do a search then sometimes the events will come up, sometimes not. Live view, speakers and snapshot all work fine. I have done all fixes suggested but the app still does not work like it used to before the December update. Very frustrating.

The way this app doesn't connect to the camera most of the time and the extremely choppy video is amazing. My favorite part is the notifications. When the motion detector picks up something and starts recording, the app will give you a notification so you can click it and watch the recording, but when you go to the app NOTHING IS THERE!!!! You can be standing beside the monitor and wifi router and still not get a connection. Great app guys, you did an outstanding job with this app.

Downloaded this app for use with the Cobra 4 camera system from Harbor Freight. App works very well with the system and I had no trouble at all making the connections. I have nothing bad to say about this app or the entire system. I do have a couple suggestions that would be nice. First live images; I wish there was a mode that would cycle through all the active cameras. And, let me choose between which way recorded events are displayed by date and time. Most recent or oldest first.

After the last update, I can no longer view events through the app. I get notifications without issue, but can not view the event. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app, cleared cache, cleared data, force stopped the app with no success. I had no issues with the previous version. Any ideas? EDIT: No events found. Record is set and working on monitor. Still nothing changing time period. Very disappointed. EDIT: Issue is resolved thanks to Mike at tech support! Very happy with the app again.

worked great for a while. now it just says connection failed. i have troubleshooted everything over the last 2 years, after a while it started working for a few days then stopped again. seems to work 3 days out of every month. i know it is not the app or phones, as several people lose access at the same time so the issue is with the servers. if you buy harbor freight cobra cameras just plan on using them stand alone with no remote viewing capabilities.

Phone never has connection with the camera system, if I'm at home I can use the app, mainly on wifi even then. Not sure what the issue is here. At home it has good connection. At work or anywhere I can't see live feed, can't watch motion videos. Nothing. Pretty disappointing after spending so much on a security system. APP hasn't been updated in a LONG time!

All u can do is view. If u r watching an event, all u can do is pause. Not sure what they mean by "searchable" because u cant rewind, fast forward, share or anything. Even if u take the time to watch the event, if u need to see a section of it again, u have to watch the entire clip. Also events r listed oldest to newest so to look at the most recent video events, u have to scroll all the way to the bottom. All very aggravating. App is barely useful.

If you travel even to grocery store, you can't access cameras. App stinks!!! Since my original post, the app has improved and video quality and reception has improved. The issue which I experience the most now is when reviewing footage sometimes you need to review it several times because it skips part of the recording. Beware you might miss footage!

Many of the negative reviews of this app do not include phone models and OS. It would help the programmer to solve the issues. On my Samsung S5, this app is great. Yes, the cameras sometimes disconnect, but a check of your data connection with a camera reconnect has fixed the issue. I wish I could access the recorded files on the DVR. The alerts come after the fact and really miss a quick, unwanted person or action.

Last update screwed it up. I get immediate alerts when cameras are activated, but when you view the saved events they are not there for maybe an hour or more. Kind of useless for security purposes. This problem certainly needs an update. I emailed you. Update. I moved up from one star to four stars because the customer service was pretty good and helped me solve my problem. Still the notification process is a little lagging.

I've had this app for 1 week and does not show recording most of the time but the monitor shows all my recordings. It's doesn't save changes for example... you can't change medium setting to low setting,tried several times but as soon as you save changes and you back out of the app and go back in it shows medium setting again and you can't delete clips that are no longer needed. This app needs Alot of work.

This app and surveillance system are terrible. It is incredibly slow and basically has no features. The only thing that it did was notify me that it detected movement. As of three days ago, it will no longer notify me. I walk in front of the camera, and the system beeps, but won't send a notification to my phone.... Defeating the only benefit of the system. If I don't know that motion was detected, I won't open the cameras, and don't see what happened. TERRIBLE!

Well, it started out good. It opened recorded video everytime. After the last update sometime last month Dec. 2020 I think, it started stalling in opening a recorded event. That is frustrating when you get a notification that a camera is recording but you can't see what happened or is happening. Live viewing opens consistently. Update: Now it has stopped working altogether. Router has been rebooted and monitor has been rebooted as well as restarting my phone and reinstalling the app. 3/17/21 Another update and another FAIL, please stop trying to fix something that's not broken.

Can not recommend this app. Having the same issues as the other reviewers are reporting. Android Galaxy phone for me. I get the alerts of motion detected and a lot of them and they just keep building up. It will say connecting and then within a minute it says Connection Failed. Camera system itself is working fine. Need to fix your bug issues.

Didn't even get to open it! First time THAT'S ever happened. I installed the app on my note 8, went to find the shortcut, & couldn't. It was NO WHERE to be found. Not on my home screen, or app list?!? Anyway, I had to get creative... opened play store back up & confirmed that it "installed". This is also the one and only place I could choose to uninstall, or... opened the app from here and it crashed and burned 5 times in a row. Brought me right back to play store..... UNINSTALLED end of story.

App works great for me! no issues or problems! I've had the app and system for over a year. Anytime it tells me cannot connect I've found if i unplug and replug the camera system itself connection problem is fixed immediately. i do wish i could save the entire video and not just screenshots also being about to view all cameras at once would be great instead of switching different views individually would be great!

I loved it at first. But eventually when I would go to view event it started showing no results found. Ugh then next time it would show the events. I work several jobs I need to check on my house. I'm not to great with electronics but this did such an awesome job practically doing it almost by itself. I really like it alot. Please let know if I'm doing something wrong.

Been using for over a year now. Havent had any issues. Occasionally it has troubles connecting to cameras but that could be my wifi? One thing I'd change is how the files appear. I would rather the more recent files appear on top. I dont like having to scroll all the way to bottom to see new files.

Used to work great on my samsung galaxy s8, then several months ago it just stopped sending me any alerts on my phone. I have checked the settings and notifications are allowed. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still doesn't work. Kind of a useless app if it doesn't notify me when the camera has been triggered. super frustrating!

It has stopped sending notifications all of a sudden to my Kyocera Duraforce 2 Android device. No fix has worked. Notifications were working fine for movement until about 3 days ago then it stopped sending any notifications. Need a fix but I'm assuming there isn't one as other reviews I've located here also reference the same issue with no reply from development.

The App is a nice tool, but NEEDS to have more options to receive notifications of motion detection SOONER than 1min after. I have had people I dont know on my property and the only way I was aware of it is because I check the recording everyday. It takes less than 30 secs for someone to walk up to your doorstep and steal a package. Also there is no sound on video playback while viewing recordings on the app. Also and any changes made on monitor requires reboot to keep recordings updated on app.

App worked ok about 85% of the time for a few years. A few months ago it started getting worse then it would not allow me to turn the alerts on and off which makes the system useless when you leave home and aggravating while at home since the alerts would not stop. The December update fixed that for a while and now if I try to access the settings the app just freezes up. This needs to be fixed immediately as I can not use the system. My Mom's system is even worse. Yes I'm constantly rebooting it

This app works perfect for me, latest version of Android on my Moto phone, 10 mbs upload speed from the monitor, I found that if it does cause an error, rebooting the monitor solved it. In future would like to be able to reboot the display monitor remotely from my phone. Other than that, it's error free for me, I can go for months without rebooting the display monitor. Not perfect but, definitely like.

so I believe I have found the solution to some of the problems!!!!!! if you have yournetwork setting on your camera set for static ip, it will not connect, or stay connected! if you switch it to dynamin ip it will connect as it is supposed to! took us like 2 weeks to figure this out!!!!!!!!!! ugh! idk if it came with the wrong setting but it was the source of all of our connection issues!

This security system and app is my safety system, but it's unreliable. Camera itself is good, but is going back to Harbor Freight, bc this app is unbearable. You can't fast forward or rewind in the app. Additionally, it often doesn't load video events within 12 hours. Most of the time live feed works. This app and camera has failed me at critical moments, because the camera doesn't record it (despite that it goes off with every sway of a tree branch) or the app glitches.

This app sucks.. some days it won't even connect. and then sometimes when it does connect and it takes you to the camera screen you get to check outside for like a minute then it crashes! Sound button is okay. Mic button sometimes doesn't work. And from what I just read this stupid app hasn't even been updated since last April!
