It's a really great app for quality music reproduction .BUT, can you please re-implement a way to back-up all the settings again.... we really need it back desperately, to save all the vast array of tweaks this app has to offer. Been using it for years with LG quad DAC phones, a nice combo indeed. Thanks in advance.
Randomly lost all my settings after an update. It's probably the best music player on Android but this is very upsetting I had multiple extremely complicated eq settings for my headphones, speakers, and cars. And they are just gone now for no apparent reason. And as far as I can find there is no way to backup the settings to make sure this never happens again. Please add a feature to let me export my settings to back them up and it will go right back to five stars
This player deserves to be way more popular than it is.! Excellent sound quality really shines with quality headphones.. settings require some thought but the results can be amazing.! The user interface is bold and very unique.. I absolutely love it. Don't be fooled by the funky interface though, this player really is all about the sound.. that it looks so cool is just the icing on the cake...
Update: Problems resolved by a subsequent update and by re-creating the music library Much happier now and I can continue to recommend the app. Earlier: Has been a great app until now... update no longer can find the directory my music files are in! This is despite multiple scans. Now totally useless! Needs to be fixed. Will not update on my other device until and whether this is fixed. Phone with problem is Samsung S21.
Great perfomance, but not the UI. The audio coming from the app is really powerfull and crisp. It also supports phone's Direct PCM flag allowing it to use the full perfomance of the internal DAC. I have comparing it to PowerAmp, and UAPP. I guess this can be the second best choice after UAPP, because of the audio output is as good, but the UI is so old-fashioned and awkward at times. The audio is much cleaner and brighter from PowerAmp. PowerAmp is more soft, warm but sometimes lacks texture.
EXCELLENT QUALITY FOR SOUND, comes with a parametric EQ! Now the bad, THE UI IS HORRIBLE! As one reviewer put it... this would be a better game where you get points for finding the setting or control. Expect to spend several hours looking at online forums and playing with the UI to get this to work. Difficult to recommend this app based on the UI. Hope the dev will consider outside help to fix the UI, as otherwise this is an excellent app.
The sound is great. However, the scans are brutally slow, and you have to rescan every time you add something. It takes about 20 minutes to finish. The UI is extremely dated. Some icons on the bottom of the DSP screen can only be seen in landscape mode. There's no instructions of any kind. I paid $8 based on the sound, but the more I dug the more disappointed I became.
Using a new Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) tablet with 512gb microSD card as a media player at home. Was looking for a decent music player but with low expectations. Tried out this app and OMG it sounds incredible! Bought a copy immediately, this app is a bargain for what it can do. Note: the developer's web site has CPU specific versions for download, there are some versioning issues with the Google Play Store but this is not the fault of the developer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
App is great when working...app recently stopped recognizing the music sources. I rescanned the sources but it still would recignize the sources...so i uninstalled the app and reinstalled and now the app crashes immediately after opening...I get a message after saying the app has a bug. I have uninstalled and reinstalled at least 5 times and I getting the same issue. I want my money back at this point... I dont know what to do.
it has a learning curve, but it is by far the most audiophile grade app you'll find. well worth the money. Edit: got a database corrupted message, loading backed-up neutronmp folder doesn't fix. playlists gone, user interface changed to default from custom. There seems to be a problem!
Dear developers, I purchased this app on sale and my issue is when I play some music using DAC, it stops in about 2 and half minutes playing then some hiss sounds come after that. Could you help me out with this? --> I got reply from developers and I fixed it. Thanks a lot.
I had problems with this app due to google restrictions, but after a few emails with Dmitry everything is sorted. Apart from that, I am now enjoying the best full sound of my music to my system. One of the best apps I have purchased and beats every music player out there. Thank you.
Every time it gets a major update something breaks. This update I lost all my playlists and it would not rescan my library. I had to migrate all my music to a new folder before it would scan all the files. Plays music great, execution of the app and it's upgrades, not great.
This has been my favorite music playing app. for a long time. I just updated the app. and I had many, if not all of the recent issues that others are having. However, all I did to fix the problem was that I went into settings, forced stop, uninstalled and then reinstalled the app.. After doing that the app. works as it should. Hopefully this helps others with the same issues.
An amazing app. It truly bypasss the limitations of android sound out put for advance tuning. It can get complicated I recommend going to the website and downloading all the pdf manuals on the actual app as well as all the dsp parameters and parametric eq. It's very very comprehensive with so much information and options too much to type. I paid 15 bucks for the app alone and I believe 7-8 dollars for the eq. Well worth it if you enjoy music and if you connected to music just like me it so worth
I've been using this app for years with no problems. Now, after the unneeded update, it "doesn't see my files". I don't understand the predilection with "fixing what isn't broken". It now is certainly broken. Please undo/fix the oversteps. In the meantime, I'm installing a backup player.
I so glad that this player came back to my phone. At first when I changed phones, the player wouldn't let you download it for some reason, and I had the paid version. I don't know if anyone else had this same problem happen to them. I definitely was wounded. But now my wounds are healed 😌 . Thanks Neutron for getting back into the game. You guys have the best player on the scene. I've tried them all and you guy definitely stand out above the rest.
Neutron was my favorite music player for years. The lack of duplicated tags support pushed me away. But since version 2.19.3 it just won't see my music! Reinstalling and regranting access to "/ZZ/MUSIC/" does not fix this problem. (OnePlus8)
Can't access any of my music. Recent update screwed over how it interacts with the file system. I can't even go through the settings the change the directory for where my music is because it can't find any.
It takes some app experience and audio knowledge to set this up. No manual. Basically, trial and error. However, once you figure it out, it is awesome.
Since last update app no longer able to recognize my music folder. Cleared cache, re-scanned music folder. Zero. Didn't they test this?? Very disappointed. Please fix this big bug. LG-V60, Android 11.
Had this 1 week & so far so good I didn't know an app could have so much customising I'm coming from the power amp app, there is far more here in this app than I could probably ever need or know about but I will learn as time goes by, it could use some interface customisations though & the EQ should be on its side for 1 thumb up down operation on the multiple bands & not swipe left that's "old school" you guy's but overall the app works well so I am happy with it so far Thanks
Hands down, the best player I've ever used on an Android. It literally made the music sound absolutely amazing! I'm nowhere near done playing around with all the tools...just still kinda in awe. Great job!
I tried the player and really liked it. I normally like more minimalist style players. The features are really nice. Equaliser is good and sound quality is very good. Using usb DAC. Also album art is correctly displayed for radio paradise which is not always the case for external players. I also like the display options. A parametric EQ would be nice for headphone adjustment but current EQ is fine. Using neutraliser app on occasion for other players. This player is definitelyWorth a try.
