* About News+ (Google News)***
Since Google has decided to shutdown Google Reader, lots of new and innovative RSS services have arose to light. Many of those services appeared as worthy replacements, and even an upgrade. We couldn’t choose just one or two, and we also had to make some decisions about how our work will continue. We decided not to pick! We created a new app that is the successor of gReader, taking it’s features and functionality but supports as many reading services as possible: News+.

* Simple, fast and intuitive ***
Our goal was to create a news reader with the best possible reading experience. Our users LOVED how customizable gReader is, and it made sense because a lot of the feature ideas came from the community itself. So, on News+ users can also quickly read their feeds in a simple and intuitive user interface. Article pages can be reduced to the minimum of just the main contents, so that a reader could just concentrate on, well… reading! Consuming content at places without an internet connection is also possible using the great offline Reading features. You can also let News+ read your news to you when out laud, leaving your hands free for other tasks. These and many more features could be found on the features page, at http://newsplus.co/features/.

* Why choose just one service? Supporting extensions in News+ ***
The power of News+ is as an aggregator. We took gReader’s functional features and added the ability to expand News+ with extensions. Not just for RSS services, but Read Later services as well (Pocket, Readability or Instapaper), and news websites could be integrated too. We plan on integrating more and more services to News+, making it a one-stop-shop for all your news and articles needs. In a single, unified user interface, you can now read and consume content from various different services, and the list will just get bigger and bigger.
Extensions are independent app that can be created and published by everyone. News+ recognized the extensions by itself and shows them directly in the app. Here is a list of current services News+ supports:

It took me about 5 minutes to get the app to sync with my Feedly stream, but once I did, it worked exactly as the old gReader did. Hint: you can only use 1 extension in the free version. So, grab News+, then choose your extension, login and go.
I use the black theme and reverse pages for night reading, but when using News+ on my Samsung Galaxy I am presented with a bright white screen for 3 or 4 seconds before receiving the final page in reverse readable mode. Please, Noinnion, eliminate that bright white blank page!
Poor substitute to the wonderful gReader app that came before. It has about the same interface, but it just doesn't work as well. A disappointing replacement for gReader Pro, which I paid for and can no longer download.
I downloaded this app after trying nearly every news app on the store and trying it. I loved the old Google news app but the new one is awful. This is even better. I bought the premium version to support the developers and for the widgets alone. If you you like the old widgets from Google news, buy this. Please keep this as good as it is now!!
I was using this with The Old Reader extension until I got a new phone and now it will only let me use 1 extension and by default that is Google news unless I pay for premium. I don't want to use Google news at all. I'm only want 1 extension but I can't change it. I won't be paying.
I'm not really sure how to rate this. I like the gReader style (I use gReader sometimes). But like gReader, there doesn't seem to be a way to add your own opml file. This seems to be an interface for Feedly, InoReader, etc. I would purchase this if there was a way to read in my own opml files without relying on the other services. Reedah is there, but the service seems to be unsupported. Two of the other services offered at the bottom (Subreader & Commafeed) just aren't around.
No updated since 2015. Abandoned. Lacks adding RSS feeds or sites you want. Read only what this app provides also can't remove them. Outdated UI is not issue but lack of basic functionalities. Dev is not there. Look for better in 2021.
Works ok, but since one or two month the paid version display ads ! ! Edit It seems that after reinstalling then the ads are off again ! Cool
Love it! I've been looking for a replacement for Greader and this is it! Tons of options and a slick interface. Wish I could give 10 stars.
Was once the best app.. but had not been updated for about 4-5 years. Showing its age and bugs, it also seema the inoreader plugin is broken :(
News sections don't work. No mater what preferences I make, app will always default to top stories in the headlines section.
are you still there guys??. this App is need to update the inoreader login API. i cannot sync the inoreader again from the plugins. please this is the best RSS reader of all time
Loved this when I could use the widget, but now you have to have the pro version to use the widget, ridiculous to change that for existing users.
Old bad design. I don't want the categories listed or having to mark items as read. Typography and layout looks bad as well.
The app is no longer syncing data after the 31st Dec 2019. No repsonse from developer to my emails about it. Shame as this was a good app.
It says it's a news reader but IT DOESN'T SHOW ANY NEWS 🤣🤣🤣. Don't waste your time for this BS. I unistalled it right after I opened it
Does not work properly. Tap a different category and nothing changes, the same news briefs as appear in "Top" section remain
Bring greader back. I had premium version of greader pro does that get me news+ premium? And what is it with not being able to log in with the feedly extension?
App need to updated. All its extensions are non working. Without extensions , app is simply not working .
won't let you have a widget till you pay for pro, Google's already putting ads in between articles so I'm not going to pay to see them.
Abandonware, with enough annoying bugs that you wouldn't want to pay for it.

I paid for this but its stopped working, it won't let me set a scrolling widget which is very inconvenient
Same articles in world news as entertainment. Kind of a huge bug to overlook...
On Android with GPU support on, the article gets frozen after switching to another app and back
I don't know what's up with this app, but the info site that is linked in the "about this app" section is no longer valid
videos auto playing, every article I open, the OnePlus new phone video launches. please stop
I like it, but the sections only load top stories and i can't get the thumbnails to show at all. If it worked as intended, it'd be an easy 5 stars but those are pretty glaring issues and I'm using Google News integration so it might be even worse with less popular ones.
