Absolute garbage!!! Worked impeccable for a week, til the point I needed to use it for sighting in my new scope. Crashed on the range, upon opening and has not worked at all since then. I went ahead and took the liberty of deleting the app, this should not be an issue at all, ever!!! Especially with a company of this magnitude. The other reviews speak volumes as to Nikon's promptness in responding to these issues as well. Probably will never buy another scope from them either. 0 - STARS
Love it however, I am confused. I have zeroed my .243 in at 100y but when, I try to get "field chart" I get a msg " Either your zero or target distance is set to high or to low, or your muzzle velocity/BC combination is insufficient to calculate BDC data at lower magnifications". Is there some kind of instructions for this app. I love the info provided, but what can I do to get the info I want.
Did the job quite quickly. I simply used this for the ballistics coefficients. I plugged in my info, pushed fire, and no more penciling in on a ballistics tables. From the app to paper target, it did the job. no more waisting time and amo. Before I'd be 2" MOA@100yd and I'd be challenged to hit inside a 6" target @ 300yd. After using the app for some predictive ballistics, I'm at 3"MOA @ 100 yards and 5.25" @ 300. mind you, my group was tight before, yet my long range effectiveness is better.
When you try to select your ammo, the app crashes. Every. single. time. If you happen to shoot .308 Winchester 147 FMJ ammo (or something close enough), you might be happy. Everybody else will find this useless.
down loaded latest version, because I bought a new scope for my Muzzloader recommended by Nikon. Now i cannot select any options with this latest version. wish i would have kept the old version, at least it worked. Please fix this glitch in the app!! MANY PEOPLE RELY ON and ENJOY USING IT! but totally worthless if it doesn't work..
This app was 5* Worthy but now after this last update the app no longer allows you to select bullet type. Sadly we are closing in on the end of hunting season and I haven't been able to use the app all season. Please fix this issue soon before the end of season so I can give the 5* rating I used to.
Just downloaded and the app works but the app crashes when I try to get a wind speed. BUT...go to Weatherflow products web site. They make the wind speed device and have their own app for showing wind speed, which is what I wanted since I do not own a Nikon scope. I can still use the ballistics charts by manual input of wind speed. Win-win Unfortunately Nikon still gets a 2 for this app since it does not work with their wind speed device.
What happened with your latest update? What is your plan to restore this app and keep it from consistently crashing? This used to be a great app and in fact I have continued to purchase Nikon scopes based on my usage of this app. Nikon makes great scopes and so do many other companies. In my opinion, this app put you above the rest. You need to find a fix to keep it from crashing.
Won't even open the app anymore. Used to work a year or two ago. Was vary helpful and informative. I wish I had screen shot my loads so I would've still had the data.
BDC Field Chart not working... I have a Galaxy S9 and this feature will not load. It says could take up to 25 seconds on some androids. Otherwise the app is acceptable. Drop down ammo selections need updating. Winchester hyper velocity 40 grain CPHP, 1435 fps is not in the list.
App used to work good. Now it crashes all the time and sometimes it does not load the correct scope. Time to switch to Vortex. Not sure I care for the BDC reticle anyway.
Non functional. I just purchased a Prostaff rimfire BDC 150. Ive got some Federal automatch AM22 and tried to slelect the appropriate ammo in the app and it would freeze every time I got to the dropdown menu for that selection. Bad job. Someone is not checking their work. Im using an all up to date google Pixle 2XL.
Latest update broke the app. Just try to display the ballistics table for 9mm and it locks up. Old version didn't lock up like this update does. Would give zero stars if I could. Update 3/5/19: Latest update still does not fix the program trying to calculate a ballistics table out to 2500 yards. Come on, fix the program already.
Worked great when i first downloaded but freezes up when checking the different zooms now. Works fine from 12x-7x but will not load 4 5 or 6x or the field table even tried on the website same thing but overall good app pretty accurate on the ranges
the previous version was great, I have three Nikon bdc scopes and this app would get me on steel out to 500 yards with no problem. The latest version crashes when you try to open so now I have to use the on line version and print info off to use in the field, not handy at all. unless you open an acct with Nikon they are no help.
App does not work. crashes as soon as you try to select the bullet. and this was a first time install on my Pixel 3, so the version on the Play store is garbage.
App fails to recognize Nikon ballistic anemometer that's its supposedly designed to work with and then crashes constantly. Returning this garbage and buying from your competition. Only thing app seems useful for is double checking range maths.
DO NOT BUY NIKON PRODUCTS!!! Picked up the Nikon wind meter on sale, downloaded the app to test and was reaching scopes. Key word "was"! Looking at other reviews this app's had issues for a year! I will be returning the wind meter and looking at other scope options. Way to go Nikon!
Closes itself and won't use my loaded data. Have no idea what my scope with bdc is set at beyond the main cross hairs. App use to work great. What happened. So it seems that my 4.5x14 scope has been removed from the app and therefore it can't calculate my rounds. Please fix this. This aggravates me that they would do that.
App regularly gets stuck when changing magnification on the ballistic chart. Holds up entire phone. Also no back or home button. Will be deleting
Excellent app! Very useful. With ballistic data on a vast library of ammo types and brands making it useful to all shooters even if they don't have a Nikon scope. 👍
Easy to use, accurate with Nikon scope. Even without, had great results with ranging distances as long as you have the muzzle velocity.
used to be great but through the updates it has gotten to the point where it will not function. As soon as you start to select the bullet type it crashes. Nikon has stopped caring about the app. Got everyone buying their products and cant even use them to their full capability.
