Love the constant feedback I get from my Norton app. I love that it tells me info about my other apps. Which ones are risky and why. One night while asleep an alarm went off on my phone. It was Norton telling me that someone had just logged onto our wifi and to disconnect it. We immediately got up, disconnected it and changed the password. I didnt even know the app did that! Thanks Norton!!
I really appreciate the ease of use in the downloading and app set up. The interface is not too "crowded" and doesn't require a lot of technical knowledge. I am a bit warry of setting up the Password Protection and Dark Web features because I would be essentially exposing a lot before I am more comfortable with my own technical knowledge base. I'm hoping that before my trial ends I will have more knowledge to make a more confident decision. I do hate that Norton's no longer a part of my Xfinity.
VPN is only item in this App that has given me problems. Many stores won't allow access to their websites when I have VPN turned on. Most everything else seems to run well & over the years access & troubleshooting has improved dramatically. I would recommend this App/Program to anyone interested in trying to secure devices regardless of the operating systems.
I can't fully operate this app in the Secure Folder feature for samsung. To scan apps and have protected browsing it is telling me to "find and tap Norton 360 service" while in accessibility. I already have it turned on. Even when I tried to turn it off and on again it still gives me the same message and doesn't allow for me to use my security while in secure folder. This is happening on Tab S8. I also have a Galaxy S21 ultra and 20 ultra but not experiencing the same issue on those devices.
Edit: thank you for your quick response. No, I won't be messaging you on another platform. I'll send an email to the developer address listed in Play with the info you provided, thanks. || Suddenly no longer able to access VPN ("server unavailable"). And no longer able to leave a review through the Google Play app—I had to go through the web version of Play to leave this one. This app works 1/5 times it's needed... if I'm lucky. What's going on‽
Last night I was very critical of Norton 360 due to a continuous interference. The VPN was not loading correctly: manually nor automatically. I kept getting a message to the effect: Need to activate Wifi in order to pair with VPN. This is in my own words & may vary with actual. The point: I found that in the home page you can manage that pairing by just pressing the Wifi icon. Now the VPN is in sync with Wifi & yesterday's criticism is reversed until experience with the App shows it is faulty
I don't see the value ... It works ok in some aspects it repeats the steps so every time you log on it's has actions to take... When it blocks a threat it sets of a notification so you check the phone but it was just a POSSIBLE issue wasting time.. the tech support says well you have options for notifications on the phone or on the app as i do want to know about a serious threat not every 5 minutes because a POSSIBLE threat almost occurred.... I did the free trial.. still nothing to report
I wish to give Norton, a '5 star' rating but it misses very important point i.e., Smart Scan, In depth Scan in its android feature with banking security option seems missing in android. Norton Cleaner also shows a very novice approach in Junk Cleaner. Do justify with these missing links!
I feel safe and secure with Norton 360 on my cell phones and laptops. It works on my cell phones and I don't need to worry about being on cites that may be unsafe. I recommend Norton 360 to everyone, install it on all your devices that you use daily, and not so daily.
I've had Norton for a long time never had any issues. Everything was working fine then all of a sudden on 5/6/2022 about 11pm , Norton symbol changed to a yellow n black color n my phone started making click sounds when i hit the scan button then froze. I had to do a hard reset to unfreeze my phone. I then uninstalled the Norton App till furthur notice. This App is not doing what its suppose to do. Dont know why, not taking any chances. What happened Norton?
I'm very happy with the protection from Norton with all of our computers and mobile phones, I've been using them for several years. ** the downside is** When you purchase on line for a cheap price of £17 it automatically takes payment the following year when your subscription runs out which is over 3 times more than the first year of £84. I have complained in the past. What you need to do is once purchased cancel auto subscription and purchase the protection from argos or currys/PC World.
I have a lot of experience with Norton and it's very good. There are many other options and it's possible that a better one exists for your particular needs, but what is Essential is that you make regular use of a good one like this Without Delay.
User friendly, reliable and trustworthy. I've been a long time subscriber to Norton and will continue to be. My only complaint is the Norton ads that pop up in the corner of my PC. Annoying and distracting. Slows my work down as well.
Been using Norton for years. But, what they have just did to me made me want leave. Bought the sub with auto renewal, and was going to turn that feature off so I could pay when I was ready to. I failed to shut it off, and without any warning, Norton hit my bank account up for the renewal at a price 3x higher than what a new sub costs a full month before the sub was set to expire. Wanted it refunded, and the only way to do that is to cancel my sub. So, I got ripped off a full month. Real nice.
I'm accessing Norton through a Telus subscription. Overall, I like a lot of the features provided through this app and the subscription as a whole. The password manager is useful, the actual protection is lightweight but, so far, seems effective, and I particularly like the play store integration. I'd rate it higher, but right now the VPN is nonfunctional through this app, saying the server is currently unavailable. The VPN and it's features were one of the reasons I was interested in this product, so I'm hoping this will change soon.
If you get a good deal on a subscription, the antivirus is (in my opinion) top of the line. I use Norton on my PC currently and it's been a huge help. Not sure just how needed it is on a mobile device but cause it's bundled in, you might as well use it. Although one minor caveat, you can't use the built in VPN while using for renting software, one of the biggest uses for it aside from international Netflix. Can't really fault them for it though, I'm sure they don't want to get sued. TLDR; Good
Moved from Kaspersky, Fully Satisfied. Only three improvements on the password manager - distinguish login for website and for mobile app - possibility to copy the text in the notes without the need to enter edit mode (I store few rarely used password in the notes) - possibility to load the website logo if the app does not catch it on its own Instead for the mobile app Android, i would really need to protect Edge as well as done for Crome
I've had several bugs ironed out by norton's and I feel safer having my data monitored by norton's insight. There has been some hardware acceleration issues on my computer but it's fixed the other problems for me. Never would I have known about the android Easter egg if it wasn't for running a security scan.
So far so good. I'm actually seeing effort on my behalf. I was subscribed to pcmatic for almost a year before hearing a thing. Identity force wasn't much better. I would like the advertising to stop though. I'm already a customer!
Simple to follow on how to secure your mobile phone. I got info on what apps pose as a privacy risk which helped me decide on what to do with it. It informs me if theres an app that is not secure and all I have to do is check why. Then give it a clearance and one is good to go. That easy! Lastly, this app gives me a feeling of security and privacy whenever I'm surfing the net.
If you can find a good deal on your subscription it's one of the best. Beware of automatic renewals. Whether I shut off auto renewal or not, every company I've been with (4) has hit me with a charge at the end of a great price or trial that's 3-10 times higher. Most know they're wrong. If you call, they're good about removing it, but will try to sell you on another price that's higher than what you can get finding another deal.
