Offline Survival Manual

This app is truly excellent. It's almost as good as John Wiseman's "S.A.S. Survival Handbook" (which is high praise indeed). A very useful app for anyone interested in survivalism/trekking/hiking/camping/Geocaching etc... I say useful... But I could go as far as ESSENTIAL. It works perfectly off-line. I use a solar/wind-up radio to charge my phone and Walkie-talkies when "out and about" (usually camping rough) and this is a super addition to my survival tool kit! Highly recommended!

Good app it explains basic as well as advanced survival tactics and has helped me out in many situations. However,I would like it very much if the content was more concise and some grammatical errors corrected. Do this and I'll rate 5 stars.

Very good and informative to have. My only issue is a few grammatical errors, some of the pictures and diagrams do not show up but instead display a box of useless text and the "hostile areas" section seems to be biased towards American troops. This is likely a situation that could impact any countries military personal and so I don't know why it needed to be specified to let the "friendly" forces know you're American.

Amazing app. Frankly the creator deserves as much praise as possible. This is perfect for the modern person with little to no survival experience but wants to start learning. You should try to learn all of this ahead of time, but if you don't, you can be rest assured this could be the difference between you living versus succumbing to the elements. If I had money to give, I'd donate. Hope he doesn't stop updating and doesn't lose hope.

This manual is great! It's comprehensive without being unessisarily long, it's easy to understand, easy to navigate, and does an excellent job of presenting dangers. However it has a few techinical issues to work out yet. For example, some of the images don't actually exist, and some of the references refer to places that don't exist. A few of the diagrams are meaningless blocks of text. Overall 9/10

So much information. And the best part is it can also be used offline. Well, it's in the name. But this can work In scenarios as if you survived a plane crash in a remote forest and you have zero survival experience so you look into this app and it gives you a quick guide on building Shelter and what's safe and not safe to eat. Of course on planes they may have survival manuals, but what if the manual is burnt with the plane. Of course theres the problem with our phones, and it's that they die.

Thorough, well written with zero typos, and easy to understand for the inexperienced. I do wish there were more pictures, and better quality pictures instead of only hand-drawn images. That's my only suggestion, the rest is incredible work. I'm not sure if I paid for this app or if it was free, but I would definitely pay for this app. It's all offline so I can access it anytime.

This is a direct copy of an Army survival book I had, but easier to use. The book was heavy, worn, and just not all that convenient. Provided you have an efficient battery, this app is by far the best in survival knowledge. Would recommend to any hiker, camper, or any outdoorsman in general. Edit: some of the descriptions are hard to follow, such as the tipi building in the shelter category. Those who are out in the wilderness and reading these may have to have an extensive vocabulary to understand, but still rated 5 stars for usefulness and convenience.

Great manual Specially when you can use it offline. that is a great thing when wifi fails in case of danger. I just think it needs more updated/real pictures in terms of food, compass, fire, plants, medicine etc (can't open the figure pics).. also it could use, if possible, how to survive in case of wildfire or earthquake that would help too. Very good job.

PSA: If you're one of the few people worried about it, you can turn off background data for the app. App looks great, easy to navigate, tons of useful information and a night mode which is always appreciated. The only thing that would make it better is an annotation feature (Highlighting and boomarking). Can't wait to dig in and start reading.

This is one of the best apps of this type out there, and has fairly extensive content. Great read / resource. It's light enough that I'm able to just keep it installed all the time. It's really fun to refer to, practice, and test myself with, even if it is just in the comfort of my own backyard or a camping trip. Far easier to have this in my pocket than 2+ print books taking up space.

This app needs to be on every phone. I had this app on my old phone. I definitely recommend this if you're an outdoorsy type. Or if taking the family on a camping trip to a place you have never been before. Or for the apocalypse! This is perfect for the prepper! This and Plant information app.!! I like it. Some parts might be difficult for the beginners to read. Still a good offline app that fricken works. Why not be ready for anything?

Honestly, very informative and helpful. I originally uninstalled it because, I thought I wouldn't have access to my phone in a crisis situation, but I later re-downloaded the app to find they had added a section on the use of phones. This shows it genuinly cares about customer feedback and will continue to grow as time passes. All and all, I like it.

The best survival manual app out there. Bonus for availability offline, and NO annoying ads! It covers all the essentials and more, and the illustrations are very helpful. I rarely give a 5/5 rating for any app, but this one deserves it! It's a must-have for everyone who want to be prepared for worst case scenarios.

Very good, high quality survival guide. Other than a few grammar and spelling mistakes, which you can edit out, the guide is very good and easy to understand, with plenty of pictures and explanation. There is an issue with it though, when you press the back button, it will exit the app immediately, which I find a little annoying. Other than that, I love it!

Also, could you add a few chapters on combat with terrestrial, aquatic and Arial animals and what to do if you engage combat with an enemy, what to do if your communication has been intercepted by an enemy and what to do in case of being stuck in an enclosed ravine or cavern? And also, is it best to travel during night or day?

Has a lot of good information. Wish it was organized a bit better so that you could more easily and quick get to the information your looking for. It has a lot of good information but because of that it can take a min to find the right info and when your in a survival situation and needed this the phone battery is very import to keep up. Other than that though it's a great informative app.

I love this app, it is very well organized and easy to read and to find the information you are looking for. It is relaxing to know you always have that extra bit of knowledge even if there is no service. The app I'd very through in its topics, covering just about all of the information you could need in a desperate or even casual scenario. I've had it installed for a long time and have used bits from now and then while camping or going on hikes. I would recommend everyone to have this!

There are some ultimately small changes to subject titles I'd make (I.E. Parachute Assembly is NOT the insane idea of fashioning a makeshift parachute but a paragraph on the uses of a used parachute for shelter clothing etc.) and somethings I'd like to see in more detail given the already large size and wealth of information of the app this may not be totally feasible. I haven't had a need for it in an emergency but, it has given me some new topics to learn more about and read into when I have nothing else to do. I'd reccomend

I like using this app because as somebody who goes on many hikes around the forest or mountains these tips are very important in the situations. But I feel like there should be pictures to explain some things like showing a picture of poisonous plants so you know what it looks like. But other that I like the app and recommend it to anyone who enjoys hiking.

Lifesaver! I am a person that likes to be prepared in absolutely any situation that may come along. This is the best survival app I have found. The information is both helpful and easy to understand for novice survivalists. The fact that it is both practical and informational puts it above and beyond. Ad free and offline, perfect for using if you are in a difficult situation and need to know information quickly. Perfect.

This stuff is awesome! It covers so many situations and scenarios. Love the fact that works offline, doesn't take time to start and it doesn't go back to the beginning every time you close it. The appendix with the pictures got me by surprise. I hope I never find myself in a situation where I need it, but indeed will be the first place to check if stuck for help! Well done!

Great app, this helps me alot when im going on a several day hike or even just camping with friends. But there is one feature I would like to be added to this app, a search bar. instead of looking for the right guide in each of the categories, why not just search them so things could be more convinient.

This is way too cool, l love having this, I am reading it like a book, I hope the time never comes that I need to use most of this, but some of it is practical everyday advice. To the authors thank you for your time and energy. For all the explorers, hikers, wilderness types, and just generally curious people, get this app and read it, very informative and fun to read!

The layout is easily navigated, the writing informative, articulate and doesn't lend to making the reader overwhelmed. As I read the sections I found myself thinking the old ways are buried with the underappreciated seniors that built the land we stand on and they did with blood, sweat , tears and a strong back! Never giving up,there was no "I'll try" , DO or DONT DO! If you chose " dont do" then you would be a statistic

Nice app incase a person encounters a situation in which they need help in basic survival techniques. I recommend going through it first to familiarize yourself with the app. Hardly takes up room on your phone. Also this is very good to keep one sane if they are in a position they dont plan on being in. Everyone should be prepared and keep it on their phone.

Excellent if you could suggest more equipment( names of items and best places to perchase) and step by step diagrams of shelters, water collector, basic fishing rods/nets, snares and where to place them. And if you could do somthing on survival but with everyday objects, so for instance if you crash your vehicle in the middle of nowhere. Even doing a series of what you should carrie and when. Even brand naming to pay for your time and keep it free to all. Thank you.also price/quality rating

The reason i didn't gave 5 star is the images of animals and plants in the app those images should be colorful because many plants and animals are distinguished by their colors one may be good or poisonous if we cant understand it could be a dangerous situation. I would like to see a Vehicle Repair section in the app because it would be helpful to get out of any danger by the use of vehicle so it would be great if we can learn to repair and start some vehicles like bike car etc.

The app is amazingly done. Few things to improve include the grammatical and writing errors, since some things are confusing to read. Otherwise, the information contained is incredibly valuable and I'm grateful for the work done

No ads. 100% offline usable. Excellent information for survival in all kinds of scenarios. I find something new to read and learn every day. The F-droid helped me find more 100% offline usable apps, too. Thanks!
