It's a really good app! The only thing that I have a problem with is that you can't take top or bottom photos. It doesn't let you take a complete photosphere. I'll rate it a 5 if there's an update where we can make a full photosphere. But other than that it's good.
Utter rubbish! The app's navigation is extremely poor and the 'upgrades' are useless. Note also: the app doesn't seem to offer 360 photospheres, just panoramas, which most phones already come with.
WARNING: THIS DOES NOT STITCH YOUR PHOTOS INTO A PANORAMA! The trial version shows "stitch from gallery" function and even advertises that this ability saves you time, but doesn't let you try it. I purchased this solely for that function, but the stitch from gallery doesn't show any of my pictures in my gallery I can choose for stitching! I requested a refund immediately, which was declined by Google with no way to appeal.
I got this app as the one on my onePlus wasn't satisfactory due to the way it takes a panorama. And I was thoroughly impressed during the initial stages of using the app. The results were way better than I expected and I even put down money to buy the HD version. However after using the app for a trip to New Zealand, I noticed an issue with some really bad amount of banding and discoloration at the point of intersection of 2 images. While retaking the panorama helps, it does get annoying.
It's great. Easy to use and have taken some excellent panoramic shots. One thing I would like to see is the ability to information points on various parts of the photo so a user clicks on them and a short text description or even a video comes up to describe what the point of interest is. Maybe the ability to connect certain panoramic shots, creating a full VR experience. Just ideas.
This app sort of does what it promises, but not completely. It does give a decent horizontal 360 panorama, but it does not do a complete photosphere, at least not with my smart phone. I have tried and tried and can find no way to upload these 360 photos to Google Maps. That was the main reason I bought this app, so I am disappointed. I paid for a year of ad-free use, so I guess I'll use it to post panoramas to Facebook, but I will have to shop elsewhere to find an app that will allow me to upload to Google Maps. Not happy. But it does work OK for Facebook, so there is that. Unless it becomes compatible with Google Maps I doubt I will stick with it after the year is up.
It was the best app until they updated it. It has become so complicated to take the panorama and even more than that, to see the stitched pic. I can't see the stitched image anywhere else except inside the app. Even on sharing it on social media, it does not appear as a flat image showing the entire panorama, but forces the user to turn their phone from left to right to see the entire panorama. I wish there was a negative rating option available. This is now a junk app
I am in real estate and tried this app. It looked great! I shared it to my One Drive account and loaded it into a video program to make a virtual tour, which was my objective. It looked so good, I upgraded to Pro, believing that I would use it a lot. So, trying to upload a few others to beta test the video, and nothing would upload. Couldn't use the embed, as where was I going to do that to find the video file I needed for my make a video site? I sent email and called the phone, couldn't get through, but kudos to them, they returned my call in about 30 minutes. Found it wasn't a glitch, but for my $50 pro upgrade, I could only get one video. I wasn't uploading the panorama incorrectly, that was all I would get. I immediately canceled my account and they refunded my money, but said that I could get the same account for the same money with unlimited uploads and videos and sent a link. According to them, Google was the problem. There is no other info in the email except click to subscribe for $50. Very disappointed and fearful of a scam. So much of that out there.
The app is ok, it needs work with the interface. The interface has issues to where I take the first photo on the panorama and try to move to the right direction to the next circle, the pointer on the center of the screen ends up moving to the left instead of right or stays in the same spot. Issues where some photos come out blurry or when I get half way through the panorama and then the pointer starts spasing out like it's having a seizure or keeps moving too far right from the next circle.
Easy peasy. Works as described. Fast forward to 2022. No longer can share and having difficulty in viewing properly.
They want 10$ a month to use the app? I'm sorry, but that's like the price of a photoshop program, not a camera that takes specific types of photos. Ridiculous
Amazing app! Takes really nice panoramas, and has an awesome playback feature without distortion. It takes panoramas as full photos and stitches them together, which I prefer to the little slices that most phones do. There's an option to make little planets out of your panoramas too, or to play them as a video. There's also a really cool feature for sharing to Instagram where it slices the panorama up in to square pieces. And when I noticed a bug the developers fixed it in less than 12 hours!!
Not a great app. While I can take a 360 picture and export it Facebook or pay for it to be export to Insta. There is no easy way to export single pictures to a blog, or any other photo sharing site. The free version is really not that different than the $50 a year version "for most people." IMO
Have a fantastic experience with the product. Great appreciation I have not seen before. I appreciate and congrats the team for producing such a great feature. Thanks
Disappointing - even with the, "Pro" paid version it only allows you to take a single rotation and only with the camera held upright. I don't know if it takes low-res images or the final render for the panoramic is low-res but either way my son's iPhone is significantly better... It works but I've always been disappointed with the experience...
This is a wonderful app. A bit pricey for my budget but works better than any others I have tried. I didn't realize the free trial was only for a few days but then was able to find the cancel subscription on the Google Play Account page. Just the way Google Play has their page. Thank you Vineet for doing so much work on this. If I had a job I would keep myself Subscribed but can't help my multiple health problems / disability.
I tried to take one photo and was charged $70 almost a week later by this app. I have "require authentication" enabled in the Play store so i must've entered my password, trying to access the next screen so i could see the price and make a decision. I find it very weird that i was only charged several days after taking that photo, and charged a full year subscription fee, which i am sure is not the price i saw when i decided not to purchase and closed the app.
great app, was skeptical at first but ever sense they removed the 360 sphere camera on the galaxy's this is an amazing substitute, although it doesnt get the sky and ground (or at least i wasnt able to find a way to get them as well) but it takes an amazing 360 panoramic view. as long as you have a google cardboard you can see them in vr.
I downloaded this app and before my free trial was up my credit card was charged with the annual charge. I have tried contacting google and they say I need to contact them directly. Have done so and no one has even acknowledged my email let alone e solve the issue. This is not what I was after and is far too complicated. Not happy!!
Works great! Good for editing as reflections in AE usually needs a 360° pictures but I don't have a camera that can do that. With the app, the problem is now solved. It stitches the pics quite good but some distortion can be seen if you look for it really carefully. Overall, worth it. Probably want to upgrade later..
I found the upgrade to not be worth it. Standard to HD didn't seem to make much of a difference. The constant prompt to hold your phone vertical in auto is pretty obnoxious, and the white balance features seem poorly realized, or at least less than intuitive.
It is "annoyware". The program allows you to create mediocre ("low resolution") panoramas, annoying you all the time to buy "additional" features (normal resolution panoramas, sharing on Facebook, etc.). The user interface is awkward. Uninstalling in an hour after installing.
too bad it does not allow a full spherical photo ... years ago there were many free android apps which allowed you to snap photos not just pano like this one but all the way up and down as well then stitched into one spherical photo ... sometimes called a photo bubble ... this app fails to allow this possibly because its hard and often the resulting image is distorted which is a weak excuse the app should just allow a best effort capability of their attempt ... folks and app providers need to embrace less than perfect results rather than not offering this super cool feature ... go big or go home
Easy to use app but it just wasnt for me. The app itself is easy to follow and is well constructed. The developers here were very responsive and supportive with the issue I had and were understanding when it turned out that what I was looking for was something else. The team worked with me and were more than professional about the situation and I hope I might find something I need from them again.
I move the camera to the dots, but they are misplaced. It misses a wall because the pictures overlap others and the app will get confused and improperly stich it. Also when taking the pic the camera spazzes out, which also confuses it even more. If you use an older model of phone like mine (a Galaxy A5) then I do not recommend you get this app.
The panorama was okay, but I was looking for spherical. A "little world" tab is in the gallery, supposedly watermarked, but I lost all patience for it before figuring out how to even take one. Between this and the confusing UI pushing you to buy whole version among other ads I'm not happy.
Not recommended for the avg user who maybe does 1 or 2 virtual tours. I paid $8.49 CDN so I can take HD videos and have a virtual tour. For a web virtual tour, you need to commit to a pro version that's $65 a year. To use or share the virtual tour, you need to pay $300 a year. I was able to get a refund. I have modified my review. If you're willing to pay, then I guess it works. However, if you need to make maybe one virtual tour, I would find another app or maybe split the cost with someone who would use it more.
This is just another app that makes garbage quality panoramas and then uses that data for whatever they want. You're better off buying those 360 cameras or using the built in panorama mode on your phone. You'll have to pay to get the "tiny planet" mode which is exclusively why I downloaded the app.
Thought I could use it for projects on lighting instead I found how terrible the app was once booting it up on my phone. I cannot control the camera when taking the photo shots for the 360 view of the area. All I get is 1/16 of a shot & that's it.
I was hoping for an app that would allow me to create pictures that I could view in a virtual reality headset. This doesn't take any pictures of the ground or the sky. It only takes a ring of pictures and then stitches them together. The stitching leaves a lot to be desired. It's not as good as the panorama feature that came on my phone. This is essentially a panoramic app that stitches the beginning and end together.
