PayPal Here: Get Paid Anywhere

Forced to buy new equipment. Have top of the line NFC PayPal Here reader that wasn't cheap. Now have to buy new equipment because my reader isn't compatible for the Zettle app I'm now forced to use. I guess if I have to buy a new reader it makes more sense to just go to Square🤷‍♂️

I mostly use it to send e-gift card payments to myself or quickly borrow money from family members so I can instantly use my PayPal debit card for what I need but it's not bad.... I had another service before PayPal I don't remember what it's called but I don't think it's even available anymore. I like PayPal Here because it's reliable, the fee PayPal charges is not a lot, and I plan to continue using it for my business ventures in the future

All in all I think PayPal has done a good job. Except when I was urged to purchase a new card reader for $36 when the card reader came I couldn't use it because someone over at Zettle or PayPal decided I don't deserve to use a product for which I have paid cash money for! What the hells going on over there. Now I was forced to pay for a $36 paper weight and also pay service charges for every manual entry! C'mon PayPal!

It works and does not impede workflow. We use it with the PayPal chip card reader with pin pad. It works exactly like a POS system should. Customers come and get what they need, after which, check out is a friction free experience. There is nothing like having the customer get frustrated because you are fumbling with your POS trying to run what should be a simple credit card transaction. Thankfully none of that happens here. Paypal, please don't break your app. It works.

I bought a card reader (chip and swipe) from PayPal Here for $36 a few days ago. When I tried to set it up with PayPal Here it is saying that I have to make a purchase of the Zettle reader because they upgraded. The reader I bought doesn't work on Zettle. So why are you still selling?

I can't get past the step to get a card reader sent to you. I click the address, it does nothing. I click "No Thanks", it does nothing. Worthless app as of now. EDIT: They fixed the issue were you cannot get past the step to get a card reader by adding a "Next" button at the top. It is a solution, but I'd be curious to know why the issue is there in the first place otherwise.

I love it. It's quick and easy. My card reader came quick. And I was able to start taking payments right away. Linked it to my chime account for instant transfers, making money has never been easier!!! Giving the average person with a business plan the ability to take cash and credit is big not just for the business but the person theirself developing customer service skills during the interactions using the card reader and app! I love it! Keep up the great work!

I've used this on two phones now, a Pixel 2 XL and a Samsung Note10 Plus, both running the most current version of the app, and the most current version of their respective Android software. I've also used two different PayPal chip and swipe readers (same model). This thing is glitchy. Even when it's powered on and my phone's Bluetooth is enabled, it takes an irritating amount of time to connect, and I often have to close and relaunch the app to get it to detect a chipped card I've inserted.

Does what it says on the tin. The only negative is the hardware - the version 1 hardware was appalling (I had 6 in the space of 18 months as they all broke). The version 2 is much better, but it still suffers from less than optimum design, especially the battery life and ability to switch it off properly.

Used this app for years with zero issues. Upgraded my phone to the Galaxy S10+ and again, no issues until the latest updates. Now I have to close the app and open it again to take ONE card (which processes very slow), then do it again for every card after that. Very annoying and a huge inconvenience when I have a line of costumers. Will update my rating back to 5 stars when the app is working correctly again.

Most importantly, it works. It's bern reliable and relatively fast. It does Not require a ton of info to be filled out per transaction which is good and it sends the receipt right to the customer's phone or email or opt for no receipt. Only bad part is the amount of fees PayPal charges for POS transactions. So, I try to use this app as little as possible. But if you need it...it does work. Oh, that little swipey thing they send you for free to swipe broke in w/in first week. Been keying.

I'm a hairstylist and this card reader is everything to me. I love the card reader, but just one problem that's started recently, I have to periodically restart my phone throughout the week to get my reader to even think about connecting. And for some reason it no longer gives my clients the option to leave me a tip. If they want to, they have to in cash if they happen to have it on them. So my convenient card reader is becoming an inconvenient thing most days and it's frustrating. help please

Convenient and great for business I've been using PayPal for my business for years, & it's easy to use. It's also been helpful with all the records for doing my taxes and giving statements to my accountant. I also appreciate the terms and conditions section and the notes for my invoices, providing personalization and helpful to give client's appt information. The one thing I would like to see change in the future, is getting the funds in real time. Since, I pay the PayPal fees in each invoice.

For the most part this app and my card reader work really well. However, it's really inconvenient when I turn my card reader on at the beginning of the night and it works just fine. But then in the middle of a transaction it wants to stop everything and update. I wish it would at least give me the option to postpone the update so I can finish a transaction

The app was decent. The actual service through PayPal was atrocious. We used this app at our store for 3 month. And in those 3 months we had issues basically every month that prevented us from being able to withdraw the money from the sales. They would implement restrictions on us without any notification of the fact and we would have to jump through hoops just to be able to withdraw money. There are better alternatives out there just keep looking.

Excellent experience! Totally astounding, and helps my business in a number of ways! The bluetooth card reader can attach to your phone or tablet keeping it handy, and it has saved me from waiting for checks to clear! Most people have debit or credit cards, some have an old check book, but rarely does someone have cash to pay my invoices! Now, with the addition of PayPal Here and the FREE included bluetooth card scanner & chip reader, things got significantly easier for both me and my customers

unreliable, too many bugs, keeps disconnecting or unable to connect altogether, works about 50% plus very, very slow. I keep losing customers that notoriously have to wait for me to keep restarting both mobile phone and the card reader. They usually just walk away. I have been using this only because I couldn't get verified for square. I'm very unhappy with this App and the reader, for accepting payments reliability and speed is the key and this solution is miles away.

PayPal Here, the first major payment processing system for mobile devices. Not naming any others but this product works great now and is definitely best if looking for this functionality. Fee's are close enough to not make a difference and no charge per swipe is ideal. I haven't used it in a long time but now, going back, the updates have made this a great utility. The easiest and cheapest way to make transactions with others via credit/debit.

It's 90% good. Naturally you know it allows me to receive money from my customers. The money hits my account within one minute and then I can spend that same money instantly with my pay pal debit card. The Bluetooth chip reader works ok. Its slow to boot up and takes 2 minutes me and my customer have to stand there staring at each other while it boots up. But once its booted and connected to my phone, it usually works fine. Sometimes the app does not open up promptly and gets stuck. Rebooting my phone solves this problem and then the app opens fine. I like that the app will use my fingerprint for opening and not need email and password every time. My biggest complaint is if I'm taking a deposit from a customer over the phone, I don't have their card in hand so I must enter the card numbers manually. When I do this pay pal puts a hold on the money sometimes and I cant rush out to buy the customers material I need to start the job, which was the whole point of taking their deposit in the first place. So if I use square reader in this situation instead. But overall the app is dependable, user friendly and helps me collect money from my customers. Yes I would recommend it.

Slow & difficult to connect sometimes but does it's job. The PayPal account administration is good although after the initial period it locked abruptly without warning until verification had been processed. So not perfect but very good. I keep getting emails telling me I have been selected to apply for a 0% credit purchase account & I got turned down about 6 times yet I still keep getting these offer emails! I have a very high credit score & excellent overall credit rating.

Simple to use. Great option. Love it so far! We don't do a ton of transactions with it. But it is a great safe option for our customers to pay. It really is a must for us with our on-site installations service. But it also doubles as a pos. We can process phone orders accurately, customer receives an email receipt. Best of all it is safe for everyone.

The PayPall website indicated that I could get a free card reader, but I had to install the app. I had already downloaded the app previously, so apparently, I was not entitled to a free card reader. I contacted Support via Live Chat,and the first quest I was asked, by 2 different individuals, was if I had received an email offering me a free card reader. I had not. So they indicated tht there is a cost involved with all of their readers. At that point, you would think that they would sends me an email with an offer of a free card reader! You know, just to keep a happy customer! But they did not, so therefore, I will continue to use my Square card reader, as they gave me one for free. I'm done with PayPal.

Been using PayPal here for many years now and have never really had a problem, still on our 1st card reader which wont recognise cards inserted for chip and pin payment but we just manually input card number.

My reader doesn't work anymore. Asking to buy Zettle reader. Why buying this readers if we have NFC feature in our phones. Most companies doesn't even swipe cards anymore.

Bluetooth connection is very slow to connect to device . And its disconnect when app is not on screen even you are logged in. And commission they charge is higher than what they say between 1% to 2% and its always different. Starting with them was OK but its increasing every time . Starting to dislike looking for some other solution. Some are lot cheaper in market.

App does not work with Android. For some reason it keeps refreshing log-in screen even though my password and fingerprint are correct. I've deleted the app, reset my passwords, and it still keeps bringing me back to the same start page. It used to work for me but now it doesn't. Very frustrating. Would not recommend.

PayPal Here is extremely easy to use and has everything you need as a small business or just even as an individual seller. It's a MUST HAVE if your wanting to be able to be more successful and more productive PayPal here is a must have. They are currently offering chip reader and card swipe devices for free that connect via bluetooth or you can choose the one the card is swiped through and it plugs into your phone for those who like to keep it simple.
