Peel Smart Remote (Galaxy Tab)

I love that I have a back up universal remote, that is how I use it but as everyone else complains the pop ups have to go. every time the screen goes off it puts a full page ad. I do not use the app enough to be tortured like this. I turn off notification and lock screen pop up, it works for a few days and bam it's back. I use it but can not justify the ads and will end up removing it soon. ir ports are a thing of the past and so is your ads

Great remote function plauged by ultra-intrusive adware. I don't mind seeing some in-app ads, but this thing displays ads even when it's not running. You have to physically disable it and force stop after every use, and then it turns itself back on from time to time (after reboots, after it updates itself without your permission, or sometimes for no obvious reason at all) piling up loads of OS level ads. It also puts a permenent widget on you notification screen even when closed.

This app has constant pop ups no matter if your on a different screen, or app. They even pop up while you are dialing you phone. Absolutely ridiculas to have such an intrusive app If your writing a text or listening to music they will pop up and stop all phone functions until you X them out, and then continue to keep popping up every 5 minutes. unless you like being constantly annoyed stay away from this app terrible,terrible terrible

AVOID! SHOULD BE NO STARS! App used to be useful, Constantly hijacks device with full screen adds regardless of settings. Notifications turned off and option that says "May display ads" disabled makes no difference the app ignores this, autostarts in background and takes over with full screen advert after advert and can't uninstall from device. A quick look through reviews will show that this is affecting a lot of people

Never use it, can't seem to get rid of it and after the last update it interrupts my reading on Kindle app to advertise a game that I have no interest in and then switches from landscape to portrait mode which takes a lot of jiggling about to get it back the right way. Not impressed.

it was working fine but recently it starts to play intrusive ads all over device. full screen ads appear while on home screen, while using other apps at any point of time. It's so horrible that it will take over the screen from other apps every 10 minutes or so. beware!

Disappointed. Originally app was awesome. Part of the reason I bought my Galaxy Tab Pro was b/c of the remote control capabilities with my new 50" HDTV. Samsung Remote app was unfortunately discontinued. Peel Smart Remote even worked better. The app's functions work well. Spambot updates destroyed it. Uninstalling. Not being able to mute/disable the spam screen saver/screen lock permanently is a major aggravation. App starts itself, even with notifications muted(30 day lock no longer functions.).

I love traveling to different cities. It was difficult for me to check weather and news. For which i had to face many consequences. This app gives regular update of weather and breaking news. Which hepls me get timely update. So that i can travel accordingly.

Started getting full screen adds every time I turned on the screen. Very annoying to have to dismiss the ad each time. Said at the bottom of the screen "Powered by Peel Remote. Disabled app. Ads are gone! Not worth the aggrevation of the constant popup of intrusive ads.

It does it's job, very well. But this mf turns on the screen of my device while unattended, unlocks the screen and plays an add out of nowhere. Ads everywhere everytime, even when I'm not using the app. This app should be burned

when I first started using this app it was great, no ads popping up at all, 2 yrs on and all I'm getting is flamming ads, draining my battery and I don't even have to be using the phone either, I get a tune coming from the phone, when I log in its an advert!!!!! Now I've uninstalled it cos it's got on my nerves and it takes Alot to actually pee me off

Just disabled this app. Could not un-install it. Every time I turn on my tablet it pops some page that rotates my display and takes up the whole tablet. And I still have no idea what it's trying to advertise. A dog last time but powered by Peel remote. Enough!

I've had to uninstall this app. Every time I open my phone I have to close pop ups and lately the just randomly pop up, even when I'm in the middle of something else. Very frustrating and a total pain in the a**!!!.

I uninstalled all the updates to try to get it to stop bothering me with popups. Notifications are already off. I'm sick of this app turning my device on and jumping in when I'm using it. I don't want it to ever interrupt again! Disable already!

This app is terrible! Every 2 minutes I get a pop-up on the screen saying that it is not working. I get this pop-up all the time though even when the app isn't running! I hate this app and it is so annoying!!!!!

I hate this app!!! I don't want this on my tablet, it wont let me remove it, I don't use it, but it won't stop with random ads every 5 to 10 mins. peel doesn't show up in downloaded apps but it's in apps...... I hate peel remote ...... starting to feel what it's like to be apple

i would give this app 0 stars if I could. I didn't install it, and now it plays loud video ads every time I turn the screen on, or even if another notification turns the screen on, the ads play. can't uninstall it, don't want it.

absolute garbage. places ads on your lockscreen and the widget opens the app, no matter what button you press. completely defeating the purpose of a widget. it's like they tried to make the most useless app and the most obnoxious app possible and succeeded at both

too many ads every time I unlock my screen. my tablet has begun to run better without data running from peel in the background. lame to have to reprogram, reconnect every time you're on a new wifi, even on the same devices.

really dislike this app. I don't use it, don't like, yet it pops up all the time. I change the notifications, but when it updates, it changes them back. the tablet tells me I can't delete it. really dislike this intrusive app.
