This used to be my fav photo editing app. After the update, there's just way too much going on. The photo quality isn't the same. It doesn't even save the pics in their own folder anymore.
Preferred it before. I use this app and found it really straightforward and easy to use. Now it's not. Too many options and the UI is all over the place. It did the job just fine before. I'll probably start looking for a replacement app soon.
New update ruined the app. I've used befunky for YEARS and loved the simplicity. New update has way over complicated it, previews of images are so grainy you can't see anything. From 5 stars to 1. Very disappointing
Loved BeFunky; been using it for YEARS at this point because it was simple and it got the job done for what I wanted. Despise the new update; everything is behind a paywall and I can't even sort layouts by image amount anymore. Paywall after paywall now, and I can't even use features I had before anymore because of it.
I loved this ap is was so easy to use then yesterday it's all gone to pot. Now I don't mind paying for an ap that I will use frequently but this new update is awful. You can't navigate it easily and you have to take the trial to try anything sorry but I won't be paying for this one until it updates again and returns to a user friendly ap
CHANGES THAT WERE JUST MADE ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. IT USED TO BE SO USER FRIENDLY AND THE SCREEN LAYOUT WAS SO MUCH BETTER BEFORE THESE CHANGES. I UNDERSTAND THINGS NEED TO CHANGE OVER TIME BUT THIS WAS A COMPLETE BAD MOVE. IT'S LIKE LEARNING A NEW, MORE DIFFICULT APP THAT DOESN'T DO NEAR AS GOOD OF JOB. IT'S HARDER TO SEE THE DETAIL AND CLARITY OF YOUR PHOTOS WHILE EDITING. I SELL A BUNCH ONLINE AND NEED A USER FRIENDLY EDITING APP. THE CHANGES MADE HINDER MY ROUTINE REVIEWS SHOW IM NOT ALONE
Had old version, new is bad comparison. Old was simple and effective, layout has completely changed and im over it
Okaaaaay so this is disappointing, I tried to pick an image to edit and for some unknown reason it can't open the file. I got the error message and just like that, the app completely froze. Tried exiting the app and coming back, shows same error message. If I can at least get a chance to try it out, I'll update my review, hopefully this issue is fixed
For some inexplicable reason it uses its own special image selector that doesn't allow you to navigate folders, or enter search terms, making it completely useless. Don't even think about responding with some dumb excuse, developer. You respond when you've implemented the default Android file selection dialog, at least as an option. Until then, -42 Stars.
Used to be the only choice but changed everything completely. It impossible to use you can press whatever nothing does anything anymore
I have used this all for years and loved it. However, after an update it will no longer allow me to chose the folder to find the photo I want to edit. It only defaults to "All Photos" which is worthless when you have hundreds of photos to search through. Samsung S10 •Developer response saying there is no issue is wrong•

Not really feeling this new update been using this app for years the old format was much better!

New update on app ruined the app for me. I have had this app installed for 5+ years.
Loved this app but the inability to select folders makes it tedious scrolling through hundreds of pics. I know it's a "known issue" but has been for several months. Please fix and I will update rating. As of April 2022: The folder selection function still does not work a year after I reviewed the app. Disappointing.
Once upon a time I would have rated this app with 5 stars, but when I go to edit a picture it only gives me the option for "all photos" instead of each individual album like it used to. This has made it basically unusable for me as I have far too many photos on my phone to scroll through all of them just to find the specific one I would like to edit or put into a collage. Its really saddening as I have used it for years and loved the simple user interface. If its fixed I would give 5 stars.
Very pleasant experience utilizing the software on my pc. Now I'm adding it to my phone and upgrading. This is awesome! I have used other programs that promise this, that and the other. Alas, they do not deliver because of design difficulties. BeFunky, you Be Funky!! You rock. Now I have templates for social media and photo editor all in one! SWEET.
Simply brilliant! Or at least it was until yesterday when it took a dive downwards with no explanation! Suddenly, instead of being to select photos from different folders on my phone, I have to trawl through every photo I've ever taken until I find the one I want. This is totally ridiculous & sadly, I won't be using the app again this is rectified.
just download. so far so good. very user friendly, many options, very easy to save. Have had it for a while now. It's still a very easy, go-to app. However, the designs for the backgrounds are very outdated in a clip art kind of way. Options are somewhat limited with what you can do. Overall, it's a great, quick, non- complicated app.
The app is great, but when you want to select photos it just opens one single folder with your entire library and none of the photos are organized like how you have done in your gallery. All images are randomly scattered and a nightmare to go through if you have a huge collection. Please update this option where you get to select which folder to open. Otherwise great app
how do you get rid of the blue lines around the last picture you clicked on and I want to control the size of the collage itself too. thanks for allowing up to 9 pictures in a collage. that's awesome. also, great features. there are multiple great features. just fix those two things for me and I won't give it a lesser rating.
Used to love it but now you can not use drop down menu to select photos which is difficult if you have 100's of photos and many albums . I even tried moving a photo to camera and renumbering it to bring it to the top and it didn't work. I am so frustrated as I needed this to finish a project tonight and now I'm scrambling to find another option or app!!! Ugh
I've been using this awesome app since I got my first phone a few years ago and so far I have experienced no app breaking bugs, little to no ads not including that one that kept asking me to review Befunky until now, and an overall satisfying experience. Befunky is an extremely useful photo editor I could not reccomend enough. You can straighten crooked images, change the saturation, add text, sharpen, and a whole lot MORE! This app deserves 5/5 stars!
This is definitely one of the best photo editing apps I've ever used and it's free.. Most apps I've used, you couldn't do half as much and they would want to charge for what you can get on here for free. I've never had a problem with it lagging or stalling, everything works perfect evertime I've used it. It's definitely worth downloading and trying if you use apps like this one.
I'm really liking this app very much so far. will update if any issues, but not expecting any. I'm using a Galaxy S8 & no hiccups- its been open about 4 hours- it sat unattended & no crashes, no freezing, saves fine - has more to offer than MANY other apps I've tried!! plus offers a clean, simple layout. well designed! thank you so much to the developer(s)!! refreshing to know there are still good people with integrity out there!!
UPDATE: Thanks to the developer responding to my initial review I tried out what the person mentioned about doing the text and then moving it into the speech bubble and it worked! I do definitely like the sketch it looks much better than doing it through my phone's gallery. I kind of like how my photo looks when I choose sketch but for the speech bubble you can't input text which is kind of dumb.
Befunky no longer has access to all the image folders that exist on your device. I had the temporary solution of this issue by using the share option in the image to open the file for editing. But this solution no longer works. I can't open my image as it throws "Sorry. Your photo Can't be uploaded". Please check this issue as this is serious
There's an annoying bug happening on the app, in Collage Maker. The menu appears, as in Editor, on the middle of the screen. In Collage Maker i cannot see the collage i'm making, partially, because not being able to drag it up or down or minimize the menu. If I apply a sticker i cannot even delete it because of this bug.
Phone updated to the latest version, which by the way is awful and complicated not only that but NOW you're charging for a basic 4 photo grid, which was previously free. Used to love this app but now its a total rip off! £47+ a year? I think not!! Very disappointed, shame really as it was top class previously.
