This is the most impressive tool i have seen for sale for experienced photographers on the Play Store. It is for experienced photographers through, if your just messing around on even the most expensive top of the line smartphone camera's it's just not for that. It's meant more for regular cameras. It's a really handy tool for pro's for making certain adjustments. Not to say you shouldn't get it to learn. I've learned a lot from it!
Great job with the app! A small bug i noticed is that in the Capture the Stars section, the moon phases appear to be reversed (moon warning appears during moonless nights). Also, many of the symbols in the tables are a little hard to understand. It would have helped to add a help message for each one. Great job though, I salute you!
I m trying and try to learn the free version. Until now it is quite well Let's see May be in few weeks I will purchase the pro version
Thoroughly comprehensive and well organized manual for any photographer who wants to go that extra step with the camera but doesn't know how to capture that perfect shot. Each concept is explained in simple terms taking out the guess work. Excellent app!
Love the organisation of the items. Works great as well. Highly recommended. The only thing I will add is the ability to change the unit of measures i.e. meters to feet. Maybe it is there but did not get to it yet. All in all, love the Photographer's companion app.
Really nice app, super useful when trying to explain all the basics to new photographers. It's a good tool to use to remember what all these number mean that the camera throws at you. On my wish list for this app: A simple logbook that allows me to log camera settings per frame per roll when using an analog camera.
This app is the perfect tool for every photographer! Being extremely new to photography, it gives me a much higher amount of confidence knowing that I have A GREAT power-tool for what I am trying to accomplish. Just like a handyman working on his house, he needs the right tools...this IS the right tool for every photographer!
Lovely app! Just bought the Pro version, highly worth it. Especially loving the planner. Would be nice to be able to use a different map layer from another map provider (such as terrain, to figure out approximate altitude). Other than that I'm fully satisfied, great job, and congratulations! (update: reflected the new version, though haven't yet figured out which provider allowed downloads of offline maps with a compatible format)
The app is really useful, it's a bit overwhelming for a beginner like me but is more useful that unuseful. One thing I think it is missing as a glossary. There is a lot of terminology that I don't know (Update) very speedy response from developer, which I love to see, will upgrade to 5 stars once a glossary is available, thank you
Just downloaded it, started to play around with it, I must be honest it's a quite impressive job you did. I will continue with the free version for a while, but I'm sure I will buy the pro version soon, not only for the features but to give a little push to the maker so he can improve whatever he thinks should be improved.
This is the best source guide for bigginers it also have advance features that professional photographers can use. To me it is the best photograghy source I have seen so far. I like this app having the feature for following up the moon lunar and GPS coordination. Special thanks for the developer.
The app is really nice. I'd like to see an update bringing standard measurements option. Or make it easier to find that setting. I wasn't able to find an option to switch between metric or standard.
Fantastic Idea BUT...Some technical specs for cameras are inaccurate. It incorrectly lists and calculates for the Panasonic GH4 as a 5:4 aspect ratio for some reason. And the aspect ratio cannot be changed in app, rendering the entire app useless. If this is changed and you are allowed to edit the aspect ratio, this will be a 5 star review.
Very useful and nearly best among apps available free. Variety of tools available for calculations is also amazing. To be precise, it has many plus points. Only request is to replace sheep with Man as Object in field of view section. I think this will give better simulation. I am loving this app.
I went into the app. It was a little confusing at first, but once I got playing around with it, it got easier to use. I got one problem with it, in flash section, you can only set your Guide Number to 70. For my flash the Guide Number is 141. So that means I will have to do more math to use that part of the app. Thank you for updating the flash section. I am so glad that you updated the Guide Number. I will use this app all the time. I love the information that you can use in the app. 5 Stars
I am really impressed. I no longer need to guess the focus depth of field using different lens, distance, f/stop etc., which is only one benefit of a program rich in many useful modules. Well done
Very helpful app. Biggest complaint I have is that the help is not available offline in the app. I tried to use a new feature last night where i had no cell service and I couldn't because the help is on the website, not in the app.
super helpful in the field. I pair this with IBM weather App to see clouds and weather conditions on a radar map, and a dedicated light meter app that allows camera spot metering. alot of great free tools, dont be tricked into buying overly specialized gear for a price tags sake.
Has been a great app for the time I've used it. Though it seems recently I'm not able to use the compass heading feature anymore (for finding things like galactic center) compass locked or unlocked the app doesnt seem to use the phones gyroscope anymore:(
So far, so good. I'm a rookie photographer mainly focusing on night photography. There's clearly a lot of work going on with this app with some very useful sections.
Seems packed with features which I look forward to exploring. When I clicked help on the Sunrise/sunset page it took me to your website which also had lots of well-written useful information.
It is very helpful. It is the photographers companion indeed helps for fast settings especially when you dont have an idea of what your dealing with no matter the scenerio
I can't find a camera to capture with. If there's none, I think it should be added so that when u select camera from the menu, u can capture in lenses of any camera type. Will rate it 5 star by then.
Giving it 3 stars for now until I get to know it better. The dji options are a little outdated. It doesn't have the Mavic 2 Pro or zoom. Once I get to know the app better, I will update the stars and rating
All I can say is that this truly is a photographers companion.its perfect for beginners that are still figuring out their camera. I would give this 6 stars if possible
Interesting app for new photographers, however way to intimidating for newbies, photography triangle at top is good, but the rest is to much technical information for a beginner

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! If you are seeking for a great app to master DSLR photography, that's the best option. It's a really well designed calculator of exposure, depth of field, etc, and really works well and suggests you what settings you should use to take great photo. It works well, designed well and hey, no ads included, which really makes me feel good.
