Easily the most complete sensor suite I've ever seen. It's not clunky and it concisely displays what you are looking for. Only problem is that tilting the screen seems to send me back to the accelerometer, but that's trivial in my opinion.
For some reason when I try to play a frequency on my clarinet the app simply says "no tone detected" if I go below about 150hz. I find it really odd considering that I know my microphone can pick up frequencies below 150hz. It's really on and off and very ocassionally it will work but more often than not it won't.
Fantastic app! Can't tell you enough how amazing the Physics Toolbox app is for measuring and calculating values of things I interact with and use every day. This is one app I wouldn't think twice to pay for.
Jam-packed with features. Start with 3-axis accelerometers, then on to a continuously variable strobe light, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer... so much more.... in 1980 a pocket spectrum analyzer was $4000.
Super useful and definitely worth the extra investment. When I get the currency to .
There is one issue: the protractor only works in potrait mode requiring me to use the edge of the phone for rotation. That's not at all helpful!
Works great, it's easy to pick it up and use it with a gentle learning curve. I feel the display page is visually striking. It's clear, well laid out, easy to see, and generally uncluttered. I love it, so easy to see the data you're looking for. Good job, Developer
Been using this for years now. It's almost totally accurate, reads data directly off the telemetry sensor arrays. If there was an Sdk I would tie it into another nearby device to have Rtu like functionality like poor man Scada functionality. Awesome app.
Turns your phone into a full-on sensor suite for data collection. Hours of fun!
I like turning this app on, while in the elevator and placing my phone on the wall, to help me remember my forces formulas. Using the light meter, in my shop to see which corners need more lights & to measure the difference with more lights. I always have a small ruler in my pocket now.
Great combination of tools. Access to all of your sensor data without annoying ads, spam, or popups. Great to have if you work in engineering.
More functions than I imagined possible. The graph and digital readings are very helpful with both real time and stopped activity options available. Awesome app.
My experience has been very pleasant no ads, but I probably shouldn't say anything about that because there are no ads thank you
Very nice app to make intuition about some natural phenomenan such sound waves and EM waves. I like the tone generator and how the ears do like filters for frequencies.
Up to date, accurate, usable, at the very least interesting for aspiring scientists, hobbyist or professional entrepreneurs. I personally pull it out every chance I get. Tutorials have been easy to understand. The writers of this app In my mind truly have their hearts and minds in the rite place, not their wallets. To them I say thank you! And to you, hope you fully enjoy exploring and finding new ways to utilize this awesome tool that is available, for the betterment of human kind. I do.
Full potential of a cell phone unlocked along with tools and gadgets of the real world bieng used today Unraveling all functions and tools in a snap
A fun app with many cool features. I especially like the audio visualizers, color detector, and the easy-to-read GPS function. Very neat app, worth checking out, has a bit of everything! My only other comments on it are that some features are not compatible with my device (normal/basic LG smartphone), which is a bummer - and getting some things to work took a bit of troubleshooting. If you're having trouble getting some of the things to work, make sure you've granted the app permissions! :-)
very nice tool, well executed, many times I have wished I could quickly collect some data when lab equipment was not available. nice to be able to take advantage of the many sensors on a modern smart phone to do so at a moment's notice. it is even possible to collect and save an arbitrary collection of different simultaneous sensor outputs; nice!
Impressive light, sound (dB meter), magnetometers, satelite info, g-sensor, A fast spectrum analyzer with many bands . Well thought out and I don't see ads on the version I have. I would never EVER click on one. There's many other features using the internal sensors of your cell phone which is more than you would realize...with a working Compass, angle detectors, 3axis magnetic fields and so many others. It must have taken a long time to build this. Thanks
Great app. Highly recommended for everyone for both who want to have fun with physics or do some serious experiment. Please include the below features: 1) record data from multiple sensors simlutaneously. for eg., accelerometer and inclinometer. 2) control over the time interval of readings. 3) synchronize with another device for multi-sensor experiments.
Fantastic app, very useful and measures just about everything you could possibly want, including simultanious data. The only improvement I could suggest would be to simultaniously record audio and/or video with the sensors, which how I understand cannot be exported with a .csv file, but can be corresponded with timestamps. Highly reccomended for those who like to see the physics side of things!
So many sensors, I was pleasantly surprised. I would have given it a 5 star if not for some irritating bugs. 1) For example, If the app asks for a permission, a popup is shown. If I click on Deny, the popup closes and immediately opens up again. Could only be fixed by killing the app. 2) The sound sensor does not seem to be accurate. In a relatively silent room with a low hum of an inverter, the graph varies very wildly instead of being stable
I'd hoped this small app (8MB) included an ALTIMETER, but it seems not. Any chance of adding this feature please? Other than that, it seems very clever. I'm not technical or scientific but downloaded it for fun. Do think being able to tell the height above sea level wherever you are would be a fun addition, if such a thing is possible. I was going to suggest adding thermal imaging too but I think one's phone needs a specialist thermal imaging camera for that (eg: CAT & Blackview).
Useful for many sciences, not just physics. Some features don't work on my tablet due to my hardware, but do work on my phone (screen too small for me). The remaining features are very useful and seem accurate within tolerances. The games are great too, but for me it's more about the data.
Such a useful tool, has opened my eyes to the potential of this powerful pocket super computer in my pocket.(I don't like calling it a phone, it's not a phone lol) This is the kind of excellent tools collection I will gladly donate to the Devs or buy the professional version. Great fun, very interesting, have learned a lot, has given me some excellent ideas for study. The interface could be prettier, but it's totally functionally, and that's what you want.
Well, what a suite. Excellent bit of kit really. Superb to see how much the magnetic clip on my case screws up the magnetometer/compass, I'd be well lost in the wilderness! More seriously this is a solid piece of software. Think I'd like the ability to adjust the scaling and time averaging - although that might be there and I just haven't found it yet. Would be nice as a button option on each graph, currently shows just 'raw' data. Sure the developer is up to it. Will buy pro version then.
I like this. Not all functions are needed but there is a lot of useful tools. Here is an idea for an upgrade that I would pay for. Have the ability to plug in an external load cell for measuring force into the USB port.
