PlayStation Communities

I tried to use it but it said its no longer supported, it would be so much easier to just put ALL THE APPS TOGETHER instead of wasting space on ur phone for like 3 or 4 different feature apps, put them in one app and give the user the option to disable or enable a feature. (example) if I don't want the community feature on I can click it to disable it, if I want to use my phone as a remote I can click it and enable it. Sony for the love of God please do this.

App discountinued without warning. I haven't checked the app the past few days as I hadn't had notifications from it but I assumed the group's I was in were just having a slow days. It worked fine before, would've been a 5 star review, but now we can't bring outside app photos or info in whilst away from the console.

I used to use this app a lot when it was still active. It had everything that the PlayStation communities section on console had, only on a phone. This alone was enough for me to enjoy the app due to the fact that typing on a phone feels more comfortable and I can easily send other images easier compared to PS4. But now it shutted down apparently. I felt really sad when I first saw the message when I opened the app for the last time. I want this app to at least make a comeback one day.

Bring this back please. It's much easier using a phone to navigate menus and communications than the in game menu. Situations like arranging the specifics of a trade in a community on the app while actively grinding in particular.

I absolutely loved this app until it was discontinued by Sony. Something else needs to be made. There were so many time in which playing d2, borderlands, fallout, the forest, etc etc... that I used this sooooo many times. Bring it back or something like this.

If the service has been canceled then the app shouldn't even be here. If I could give negative stars I would. Please either bring the service back or remove the app completely. At least Microsoft understood that aspect of their apps and kept it all on I believe 2 apps rather than making 7 or 8 apps for when there wasnt a need. Seriously irritates me....

I'm upset that you guys have shut down the service for this app. It was very useful when not home that I could still keep up to date with any update for race events, general banter and pics shared is any achievements. This makes no sense especially with no proper explanation why other than its come to an end. I still get the alerts but can't open app. Would be nice to turn it back on guys. Plus I would show others pics posted in community and got them to DL the app. 😥 Thank you 👍🏾

I just wrote this review, then read the next comment and it says the app is being discontinued. That is the most absurd thing I've ever heard! I guess the next best thing is to use the second screen and connect to my PlayStation through the phone.. | when it was up, I found it incredibly useful.

This app was by far the best way to communicate with the PlayStation communities feature. I strongly question PlayStation's mobile approach. Instead of making all of their features available from one app, they make you download six different ones, then they proceed to kill off those other apps and does not appear that a replacement is on its way.

Sony has just lost it. Why would you want to discontinue the most useful app for the PS4?! I play a LOT of Dark Souls and Bloodborne and these games don't have a pause button. How do you expect me to keep switching between the Communities screen and the game under such circumstances? Not to mention how annoying and time consuming it is to type on the controller. Bad move, Sony!

great app, it let's me stay up to date with all my communities when I am away from my system. something I would like to see from a future update is the ability to view a list of pictures that are shared on the community the same way that you can view the pictures on the ps message app.

Loved using this app when it was up and running. It was SO much easier to find people to play with, talk to or discuss things about games you were playing or thinking of playing. Now that it has been abandoned and shut down it's so much harder to find people to connect with in games like The Division 2, Fornite, Destiny and many other online multiplayer games. PlayStation REALLY needs to bring this back or create a new Communities app. Especially with the PS5 coming out this year.

Not bad, and also: To the people complaining about the apps being separate, there's a reason: Not everyone uses every feature. For example, I have a friend who never uses communities, so there would be no point of wasting however much storage for a function that does nothing for them. Or, what if you have no online friends? (which is sad if you're lonely) What about never use messages since there's other messaging apps and parties? Multiple apps saves storage. But, I can see why people are complaining. Best idea in my opinion: Separate apps and a combined app. Problem solved, aye?

Frustrating, very frustrating, when I try to use this app every time an announcement comes up, and the problem is that if I touch absolutely anything on the screen it immediately kicks me out of the app.

Used to be so great, can't even log in no more. When you discontinue a fully functional and otherwise great app and don't replace it with something better you deserve ending up in hell! And they've got the balls to say: Continue enjoying Communities on Ps4 (as if that's remotely possible with the ps4's stupid stuck loadingscreens) I've contacted psn because my ps4 was slow and I couldn't load the PS-Store and then got told to use a computer and purchase games to my ps4 through a damn desktop🤬

Not supported anymore, so now you have to enter messages with your controller on your PS4 instead of typing text on your phone. What a huge disappointment. Either bring this app back or add the community functionality to the main PlayStation app. Nobody wants to enter text messages with a controller.

Well, yesterday the app stopped being supported by Sony. This app was the best and most practical way to communicate with communities. Please bring this back, I can't stand typing with a controller. Also the fact that I still get notifications on my phone from the app, but can't read/respond, is just pouring salt in the wound.

We need to bring this app back pronto. It's a huge disadvantage for PlayStation members to not be able to communicate with their in-game communities. Typing from our phones via the app and being able to meet other players for assistance with our games is crucial. Destiny 2 is the game I reference to, there's in-game content that can only be handled with other skillful players and not being able to reach out to them is cruddy. Hopefully there's a master plan behind this that we don't know about.

The app doesnt work anymore. Everytime you open it, it says the services have been doscontinued. My suggestion is to either reopen the app or if thats out of the question, then take it off the app store. Im highly disappointed in sony for this

This App was the all time best for commuties! Personally I own a community and I'm also a moderator in a few commuties, already it takes so much unnecessary time replying and posting screenshots, Also my (Up/Down/right/left) D-pad is getting squeaky! -_- PlayStation Community App helped me out alot! I'm very disappointed that it's not being supported anymore 👎 WHY KEEP THE APP UP TO INSTALL IF ITS NOT SUPPORTED ANYMORE WTFF

The app keeps giving errors. I can't sign in to my psn account through it or through the console or laptop. I am sure of the entered credentials. I tried resetting the password but no reset email is sent. No errors appear when it fails to sign in. No email is sent informing me i have banned or suspeded. I have no suspicious behaviour. I have trophies and games linked to this account. The support is trash in my region. We are treated as third world here and no one to contact and no one cares.

The app works fine, but logs you out so often. Too often in fact. Why ? I have to use a code to start my phone, a fingerprint to unlock it and then a further password to open this rather unimportant app ? Come on really ? It's not a banking app, it's an app that let's me access a very small part of PSN. Rant over.

Unbelievable I loved this app it was so very useful I'm so tired of spending so much money on a product that is going to discontinue the best if the products they release. The mobile apps are one of the biggest reasons I decided to go with a sony product rather than Microsoft or Nintendo. Now I'm starting to rethink my decision

I would give this app a five star rating but apparently they discontinued the app? When trying to sign on it says so. This is very disappointing and very upsetting because I use this app quite often from my phone. Bring back this app immediately it was very useful and helped me keep up to date when I'm not at my PlayStation which is not all the time where the phone is and I can keep in contact with my communities while I'm at work or away.

Very disappointed to find out this app no longer works. I've been using it for such a long time! This app made communicating with fellow players while simultaneously playing the game so much easier. The fact that it is now disabled means I can't no longer communicate and check my communities online while I'm away from home. Now I have to be on the PS4 to check for posts and replies to my questions about certain games. Please bring it back!! :(

This app is what made it easier to keep it touch with fellow players when you're either away or currently on the game. This app was 5 star worthy in my opinion, but the fact that its discontinued and I haven't had it for that long, Im extremely disappointed. This app needs to return..

Would rate zero stars if possible. Have used this app for a very long time. Recently asked me to update and after updating (using more space up on my phone) I open it to a message of it not being supported and to "use my ps4." The whole dang point of the app is for convenience... and why did I have to update to be told it isnt supported. Mega fail Sony. Uninstalling all 3 of my playstation apps now. And after seeing all the complaints, will consider xbox over ps5 in near future.

I would give a 4 or 5 star. The app itself was very very helpful with communication going from a community wall to messing and such. But now that it's not supported it's worthless. They really need to bring it back. I do understand the new ps5 is soon coming. But unless they have a new app coming with it, its no good. I just home the community stuff with the next generation dose not ruin it all

BRING COMMUNITIES APP BACK I used this app often to manage my own community and interact with others. Typing messages on the phone is much easier and I loved being able to share memes/gifs/pics directly from my phone. I am still in shock that this app was shut down without any warning and still NO EXPLANATION. Very disappointed in Sony for abandoning a good portion of their most loyal consumers.
