I've used this app for 2 full pregnancies. I'm on my third and love the community, but now, when trying to type or respond to anything, it lags and freezes . The app will then stop working and hard close. This never was an issue before. Idk what changes were made, but they need to delete the update that's not setting this app behind 😒. Please fix this issue. Update: Someone reached out to me months ago & stated they escalated my information up to figure out the issue & nothing has been done. 🤥
Can't even put in due date! Load up app and won't let me change year from 2023 to 2022 no matter what I try. Then selected a random date to continue so I could adjust later in settings but can't get off of the start guide, even when I follow the steps. Very disappointing!
First issue is you can't give zero stars. Unpleasant experience from the start- Android UX is not very good. Notifications for things that can't be viewed without a subscription. Ultimately the most troubling and frankly upsetting thing about this app is that after we miscarried, it keeps sending reminders through the app and email (so removing the app doesn't help) for the now ended pregnancy. Glow really needs to sort these issues out.
I rarely write reviews but this app has helped me through the worst and best times of my life. They keep creeps off the app really well and it has always felt like a safe community, even when being critisized there is always a feeling of community and sometimes people need to be told the truth! The fact that they have made such a welcoming enviorment for women going through the worst and best in life is just a blessing, if your thinking of downloading this app just do it you wont reget it!
I'm now using this app for my third pregnancy. I used to look forward to new personalized articles to read every morning. Now I can't do that unless I pay a ridiculous amount. Stupid. I'll just read free articles on the web and forget this app. Used to love it.
So easy and informative. I downloaded a few different ones but this is now the only one I kept as its just so easy and has the best layout.
Outdated. Why would I need to see experiences and births from over a year ago? The articles are outdated from years ago. I wish I'd never paid to upgrade this app. It gave no more information than my free apps..
Iv been using glow for about 5-6yrs now and on my 2nd pregnancy and wanting to use the app but recently just got a new samsung S22 and i haven't been able to use it the app keeps closing the second I try to use it or if I manage to get on it just takes me for the tour snd I can't get out of the tour of the app it just stays there no matter what.
Every time I start typing or replying it freezes my keyboard & will not type, then as i push the letters on the keyboard to reply to some of the forums my letters are not showing up after I try to type a word or reply. ( when i try & write my reply to other women in the community it freezes, lags & needs foreclosed, this is BOTH the glow period app & the pregnancy app.. If I want to reply to a post I have to go to my Samsung notes app, then write my comment there then copy & paste it. Please fix
It wouldn't let me put in my due date, so i uninstalled then re-installed, and then it wouldn't let me hit next at all to sign up.
I've been using this app since I found out I was pregnant. I paid the $60 for premium, and now I wish I never did! Ever since the most recent big update, it doesn't properly show me baby's size! It's never correct, it'll show the week ahead or a week behind but rarely the correct week. I was 29 weeks and it was saying the dates for week 29 were the previous week, while showing me the size for week 30! Its never matching up anymore and I wish I never paid for premium
Love the fact that everyday it's a new article to read based on the weeks and days you are. Some of it is very insightful. I'm a first time pregnant women and I had downloaded maybe 5+ apps this one is the only one I ain't delete.
This app was a solid 5 stars for a while until something changed, and now it freezes constantly. I've messaged support about it multiple times and have gotten similar responses: "Is the app updated on your device?". Yes, I've updated everything, and nothing changes on the app except features that seemingly made the app less user-friendly. Posting in the community is a nightmare anymore due to freezing and crashing. I paid for their subscription, but I've deleted the app until it's fixed.
Can you make it to where we can choose our water intake goal... Choose 8oz increments, 20oz increments, etc.? Not everyone is going to drink from the same size cup and have the same intake goal. During pregnancy you're supposed to drink 1.5x the normal amount of water. I'm 200lbs. So normally I'd need to drink 100oz per day, but since I'm pregnant, I need to drink 150oz per day.
I had the premium for less than an hour before canceling it and cannot get a refund! The app is jumbled and cluttered. It is not helpful at all. When trying to request a refund the app doesn't work. Ridiculous!
All in all, not a bad app, but even with premium, it keeps trying to sell you stuff, whether literally with the Daily Essentials (all of which are US-centric), or figuratively with a constant stream of new topics in the Community (which I would greatly prefer to be able to turn off entirely). And to top it off, you can't customise what is displayed in the Home screen
Initially, I LOVED this app. It was the best pregnancy tracker I could find. I love the community boards and the pregnancy tracker and daily log are excellent concepts. A few weeks ago though, the log and "daily insights" stopped functioning properly. So did the calendar. It also cuts off random words on posts/comments and I've seen the same bug pop up in articles on the app. All in all, it's worth downloading. I'm just disappointed that a fully functional and awesome app seems to be buggy.
Used to love this app & the wealth of info available. Recent update has put a cap on the # of articles/week you can read in the free version. It's frustrating when I get a daily email with articles suggested for me based on where I am in my pregnancy, but then can't read them. Especially when some of the "articles" I actually do get to see are literally only 2-3 sentences long. Incredibly disappointing.
This app is good. However, I don't appreciate that after the last update you no longer display which article is Premium and which isn't. I only find out after clicking on it. You're not motivating me to upgrade, because I wasn't going to in the first place, you're only making it annoying to read the free articles and overall enjoying the app and instead I'm thinking of uninstalling it. It's not hard. Mark again which ones are premium and which ones aren't.
I use this app for my first pregnancy in 2019. Was excellent. Started up last week for my second and my God the ads and subscription pop-ups! I feel like it is now way too heavy-handed with every other thing saying that we could do this or that only if we have premium. Right under the top is a button to route directly to the payment options and I feel like this has become all about money as opposed to a good genuine free service. Let me say "no" once and stop!
I seem to have the same thoughts as everyone else - Newest updates are terrible. I used to enjoy reading daily articles and mini articles and now you get access to a maximum 6 per week, and there's no way to tell how long the articles are. Some are literally no more than 2 sentences. The other thing I liked was reminders, you could set a vitamin or appointment reminder and they just stop working periodically and then you'll get a random notification after weeks of nothing. It was great for the first few months but I don't even bother with this one any more. There's so many apps that give you way more info and don't shove premium down your throat.
It is a good app. You do have articles everyday of the pregnancy. However it can be repetitive and sometimes unhelpful; I have bought the premium package. The community side of it can be very helpful and interesting as a ftm I have found some of the other ladies questions and statements relatable. The symptom tracker and the calendar have also been helpful.
