Protect Free VPN+Data Manager

Absolutely WILL NOT stop running in the background, even when wifi not in use. Churns through 10% of my battery doing NOTHING but running non-stop for no reason. Repeated attempts to force stop have been fruitless, keeps bouncing back like a vampire that won't die. But given that this is by Facebook, it does the same thing their Facebook app does. I got rid of it for that reason, and I'm getting rid of this.

Extremely easy to use, but no options. My speed is 13Mbps (VPN off) and 2.7Mbps (VPN on), considerably good speed. More importantly, VPN connection is stable, no downloads were broken/hanged. Good replacement for Samsung Max when I change phone later. 1 small problem, home screen shortcut is named as "Protect" instead of "Onavo", totally confusing, took me a long while to find the correct shortcut.

Keeps crashing and continues to run in the background even though I have disconnected and disabled it. I have to restart my phone to have desired effect. I'll be ditching it shortly....

No change in speed. Also tested by down loading from a private site and it was able to display my IP. Not letting me open speed test. Thought it was 1 button press but found myself trying to set up the VPN manually. Only thing it did was give me options to adjust the app by restrictions in which I can do in my system settings. So no thanks. VPN are scams a any way. Glad I found out how you guys make money by gathering information they claim to keep private but come on it's a no brainier that it's sold and fb is already being investigated for.

Good vpn privacy protection with the additional benefit of app management to boot (majority are set up as vpn but without the benefit...), which gives own privacy by limiting which apps are alloqed access to internet at all or rather by data or wifi, which, in turn, can limit data consumption (better with data compression, however- also often vpn based). Try using data compressed browsers coupled together, like uc mini, for example.

The app is good but there's one problem: It constantly turns off by itself. For example, when I power my device off or when I can't turn it on because of speed problems. I'm tired of constantly turning the protection on. How can I fix this problem?

App belongs to Facebook. Tunnelbear is free & way better. If you are willing to pay for a VPN then NordVPN is rated one of the top three. I mean Protect seems to work so that is one plus & is the reason it has two stars instead of one. Oh & there are no ads.

App is good in all sense. Only problem that I am facing is the app is not disconnecting once disconnected. It will appear again within a minute as commectrd. If we re-disconnect it again, it will disconnect.

I have not had it long and I'm not sure yet how to evaluate this app and I will have to wait and see if I upgrade or if I am satisfied with this so far it seems like everything seems to be running fine and I have not had any problems with any future so far and not too many pop-up ads as of yes you will see how it goes and Men all is well I will get back with you and let you know skip this ad is worth your time or if you should trash it only time will tell and I hope it is worth the download space

Best APN app available in play store. Although I disagree to about that it take APP USES PERMISSION for first time installation. Good app to For Private Browsing and accessing but it is consuming so much battery that may be a big cause to Heat your device and effective for your battery. But overall I seen on play store all developers VPN but it's is free and without Ads. I have a or problem with only one thing that it takes Uses access permissions. Overall it's a good app till yet which is present in Google Play Store. I recommend all to be must have this application. Good work developers.

Application works but it always turns it self on. When I start Wi-Fi in starts. Little bit annoying because Wi-Fi connection to camera not working with the vpn on. Would be the best if this is fixt.

I love it. Not intrusive, lite and secure. It also enables me to use apps via my phone data when I have no WiFi available. This was a problem for me before.

so far great until I got a notification saying to uninstall or it'd start messing up my internet...? regardless I did it, trying out Hola vpn or my phone favorite, Turbo vpn with the running Hare, its my favorite, once u connect it, it stays connected, just like this project app would, so i was shocked when i was recommended to uninstall... regardless i loved it while it lasted

I started using Protect after my old VPN was displaying 'high background usage' according to Norton Mobile Security Antivirus and Antimalware app scanner and that FB 50,000,000 user accounts that were hacked at the end of September that i was victim of. Norton Mobile Security Antivirus and Antimalware doesn't catch anything wrong with Protect. My only concerns are the VPN makes it look like i'm in Hong Kong. and that gives me ads in Chinese. i'm like i live in Japan l know English and Japanese. Also, something has been burning through my digital packets on my internet payment plan.

You need appreciation. Well done guys. Vpn symbol is not showing up there. Okay that was not my problem. In fact I like it that no-one knows I'm using vpn. But one more this app is not using my full screen. But that wasn't a big deal coz, we use this in background only.

The ads for this app bombard the phone and interrupt other apps and services including Spotify. Very annoying even though the ads are closed. Developers: how can this ad be stopped?

I liked the app very much only thing i want in this app is ability to make it Always-on. App doesn't support it. I need to manually turn it on every time. Which is a let down.

This app is a product of Facebook. It tells you that as soon as you open it. It also collects useage data just like Facebook does. Unless you are a total idiot, do not install this Facebook product. Those in the know understand my warning.

Dont want it copying my deleted files. This is the worst app so far. Why would an app need old and deleted files? This is too intrusive for me and I wish I could give it the shittiest app reward. It gets 100% failure from me.

installed it liking the ad i saw on Facebook. when my battery was down to 4% i plugged in my charger. stayed stagnant at 4%. after uninstalling charging is back to normal. would not recommend especially if by Facebook.

What happened? I installed it today it opens just fine.. when it asked for permission i gave it all.. after everything when i click protection on it does nothing.. it asked a permission and i pressed ok like 100 times but nothing happened then when i pressed cancel it cancelled immedeately...
