This app started putting ads on my lockscreen. I had to Google how to fix it and found help on the Samsung page. Guess what they say... "Note that Google Play policy requires that it be clear to the user which app is serving the ad". It was not clear, it took ages to figure out that this app was causing the problem. DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. Edit: I just read all of the recent reviews, most are similar to this. AND the developer has "responded" to each one with one of two copy/paste responses
Worked ok the one or 2 times I used it. When it started popping up ads after phone calls i decided it was time to uninstall it. The developer's excuse that ads are needed to fund their efforts is unacceptable when my phone call usage has nothing to do with their product. I can and have accepted ads within the context of applications I use. The ads which follow my phone calls are beyond an inconvenience - they are an unacceptable nuisance.
I have had this app for months. Today it started showing ads after every phone call and on my lock screen. I had not even opened it today. It's intrusive, annoying, and wrong. I don't mind ads in apps. In fact I expect them. But I don't appreciate an app showing me ads when I am not using it.
Terrible, not only screwed up lock screen but kept me from getting to home screen under certain circumstances. If someone was attacking me and I wanted to call cops, I couldn't do it! If you want to run ads, do it when people are running the app, not so it totally messes up someone's phone.
Disruptive addon in the lock screen, it stops my fingerprint scanner from working. This feature is not mentioned in the app description, and did not ask permission beforehand. If the developers were more clear about this I would have given more stars. Thank you.
Do not install this app! Had issues for the first moment, tried to open it after installing wouldn't open properly!! Not only that but even after I only had installed 2 hours on my phone, and ended up just uninstalling it due to I couldn't use it on my phone! No big deal until there was Unauthorized charges for this app on my card account statement for$94.99, I have cancelled, uninstalled and contacted everyone with no response to getting my money refunded, and still trying to get this resolved

The lock screen takeover is not an advertised function of this app and it asks absolutely no permissions before doing this. if you want to start losing control over your personal handheld device then this app is for you. they will respond saying that you can request that the app stop doing this once it starts but I personally don't trust an app that overides bass system settings without my permission to do something that I never asked it to do.
I installed and used this app once. About a month later my lockscreen suddenly has ads. This doesn't seem to be an isolated problem from reading other reviews, and appears to be against Google Play policies. I expect ads in app, but suddenly showing up on my lockscreen gets a big no from me.
Qr scanner and barcode reader. Where does it say we are going to add an extra lock screen with ads and call it a feature? Nope, this is full blown adware that should be removed from the play store. Dont download this unless you want ads everytime you open your device.
DO NOT USE THIS APP .the app start to show pop up ads when you go to unlock you phone and the only way to get around it is by turning your phone off and on again. it even started to pop up with ads when trying to do anything on my phone. the second I uninstall it all the ads when away .
Automatically changed my lock screen without asking. The lock screen has ads on it and appeared days after i installed it so I had trouble finding what caused it. It does give you the option to disable the screen but I'm not comfortable with how the developers have programmed it to mess with my phone without my permission.
2 star scanning experience. comes up with a chinese page and difficult to operate. Thought it was ok until I found out it could run at start and tried to become a lock screen and system information. Don't install and get a better qr scanner. Dont believe? look at the permissions it requires if you install.
Scanner doesn't work. To add to the frustration, the 'help' questions ask obvious and unhelpful questions, and request that you don't write bad reviews if the scanner doesn't work! And then there are the spam adverts for financial apps. Please can you try to do better than this next version.
I made a post about this a few days ago, but it somehow seems to have gotten removed. This app forced an unwanted lock screen and was burning my phone and making it overheat so much that I couldn't hold it without having something over my hand. It was also making my phone lose power at a considerable rate while CHARGING! It also made my other apps inaccessible until I uninstalled this app. All I wanted was a qr scanner, not an app that made my phone inoperable.
shows ads on lock screen. edit: No I dont understand how you can be putting ads on lock screens without permission. I had this app installed for some time and the last update must have started it. I don't mind ads in your app since it's free but putting ads on lock screen without permission is too much.
Definitely the fastest out there, but their recognition feature is a bit faulty. does not read all codes. I prefer Green Apple Studio's in that aspect. This team has amazed me with their quality in speed, which is a subject of efficiency to a lot. Thank you QR Scanner Team.
This app does not contain ads, it installs ad software to pop up at the most inconvenient time, such as during and right after phone calls. Absolutely useless because it didn't even work when I needed it to scan a QR.
I have reported this app to Google, I'm hoping they remove it from the store. Enabled a lock screen that I didn't want. Not sure what else it's doing that is undesirable. Not willing to risk it though. Uninstall before your data ends up in the wrong hands.
I used this QR alp for about a year. The app was around 50-60% acurate in recognizing the QR code. I uninstalled it recently because the app showed adverts each time I scanned. The ads were loud, annoying and too long so I don't plan on using this app again.
Such a neat little app. Has gotten me out of trouble with a computer issue so far. There is an increasing need for a scanner app e.g.; scanning product codes on food packaging to identify contents online. I wouldn't be without the app now, thank you.
It scans as well as any other QR code app I've seen, but it installs a Lock Screen that cannot be disabled. I've seen responses by the developers saying otherwise, but their instructions are wrong (Setup is currently in the bottom right of the screen, not the upper left) and, even when you get there, the option to turn the lock screen off is not among the possibilities. I've got no problem with ads, so long as they don't overwhelm the phone. That is not the case for this app. I can't even exit the program with repeated Back commands because there is a splash screen where I have to click Exit. I am uninstalling it as soon as I finish this review. (this was supposed to be a new paragraph): The publishers responded to my review (the paragraph above), but I think it was a copy and paste because they only addressed the first complaint (and their advice is still wrong).
