QR Scanner - Free, Safe QR Code Reader, Zero Ads

This app has a feature that I hadn't found in another similar app I previously used. I guess I'll be sticking to this one. Also, I noticed recently that the app has a link to another app which seems to be from a different vendor? The app's name is Mobile Security & Antivirus, from "Trend Micro Incorporated 趨勢科技", which seems to be pushing it's users for 5 stars? I only noticed this recently because I wasn't that interested in the other app. Is that other vendor related to this one?

Flat out would not work on my moto Stylus. Just wanted a simple qr scanner that works... I use Firefox... I like my privacy... This app must not like privacy.

This doesn't bring up any of the sites that the other QR readers bring up it just brings up a non-functional reading maybe I'm doing something wrong.

This app is brilliant. Unlike the other ones that I have tried, it works immediately, and copes with, QR codes, and Barcodes. It's a First Rate application 5×Star

Very good. It is easy to zoom in so I can scan codes on my TV from my sofa. Prefect!

Much easier to use than most. Being it is part of Trend Micro, I have trust in using it.

Fast, and so far reliable. In fact I spent the first five minutes finding things to scan it was that quick. Blazing fast recognition on everything except one barcode on a reflective curved surface. It still managed it, just took a little fiddling. That was an ezception. I have tried dozens of apps for this and so far this is a stand out for recognition speed and it is free without ad support.

Easy to use and have all essential functions. Particularly it can scan downloaded image and make itself available on the Share To list, which is a big plus to me. The feature that allows to open the safe website without another click is also my favorite. All software should be like this. Thumbs up x 1000! Did I mention it is free and no ads?

The app is easy to use and integrates well with several sites as well as Selangkah registered sites without me having to install another app. No issue with scanning big or small codes either. I like that it is ad-free and secure too. The latest update forces the user to accept all the T&C before we can continue using it. There is no option to select/customise what data we allow the Developer to collect. With so many data breaches happening nowadays, this is not acceptable for me.

Just flippin brilliant! At last, the only QR AND barcode reader app I've found that works simply by just pointing your phone. No need to manually tap the screen to scan or focus, it just does it nearly instantly and then patiently waits for you to launch whichever browser you have installed on your phone to find the item you've just scanned. And NO stupid disruptive ads! Happy Happy Happy! 🤓

Update: No longer scans barcodes on either of my Samsung phones. I loved this app but it appears they removed it's ability to read regular barcodes. Just tested Kaspersky and it does both. Thanks for the good times Trend, but it's time to part ways. Old review:Use it to scan serial number bar codes for IT equipment we have to activate so it's accurate and a simple copy paste. Eliminates human error typos.

Finally a good one! Thanks! No ads, no unnecessary permissions, fast and robust scanning, and a Send action for the scanned code (in addition to Lookup). Just what I needed, but failed to find earlier. (Only cosmetic issue is the screen layout: the "Search (something undecipherable)" button gets clipped with the large font I use.)

Good qr scanner app for Android from a trustworthy developer. The Android phone I have does not include a qr scanner app and I choose not use Google Lens. This was the perfect choice since many qr scanner apps today are bloated with features or ads. The app starts quickly and scans links to see if they are known to be malicious. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a lightweight qr scanner

Love this App. after going through several so called Top Rated Apps I found this one and it is so simple with no advertising. One note is i wish the camera would focus a little quicker. Not sure if that is something they could fix or not... I have a Galaxy note 9 so the camera should be good. Overall, it is exactly what I was looking for in a QR scanner. Plus I get the added benefit of having Trend doing a security check for me.

This app does it's job very well, scans QR codes in most light conditions and no ads at all, at least that are visible. UI looks good and can be configured to open urls immediately after scan, no buttons pushed. Only concern is the annoying popups begging for reviews. FYI singapore govermnent apparently recommends this scanner on their contact tracing.

Quick and easy install. Recognized the qr code automatically.

Aaaaaaaaaaaah finally!!!!!!!! Found one without a billion popups or ads at all! Just the app itself is an ad for Trend Micro, but it's a great app. So brilliant ad guys and thank you! Only downside I've noticed is that i couldn't seem to copy a weblink after scanning the qr code for it, but you get 5 stars from me anyway! It's a minor niggle and the app saves the weblink and whether it's safe or not. So thank you again! Was doing my head in all those awful ad spam ones, saved by trend micro! XXX

Simple to use with built in security.

The app does its job well: it reads QR-codes and bar-codes. My phone's camera can't always easily focus on these things (depending on ambient light, perhaps), but as soon as the app recognizes a code in focus, it reads it immediately and displays the corresponding text string.

Great app for my Motorola phone that inexplicably had no QR code reader périnatales with camera software. This does a great job instead.

Does what it's supposed to do...and lightning-fast. Best of all, no intrusive ads. In fact, I haven't seen an ad. The speed of the Trend Micro QR Code and Barcode reader is the best I've seen. Really shines when I'm reading Manhattan bus QR codes to get realtime ETA.

So far so good. NO ADS! It does exactly what it is meant to do scan and research and provide information on the product scan. Nothing more! When I want to exit.. 1 tap and out! NO POP UP'S WITH EXTRA ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO EXIT?! I pray this app will remain CLEAN, SIMPLE AND CONCISE!

It's a great app. I had trouble reading the numbers to upload my digital copy. But when I put the barcode to the QR Scanner, it worked. And it immediately uploaded the digital movie. All I had to do was pick where I wanted my digital movie stored. I picked Vudu. It was super easy.

Simple to use, clean interface, no ads, no issues so far.
