Although the interface is very clean, I was very much pushed back by the numerous ads, the heavy battery drainage and the frustrating fact that every 5 questions you get one about one of three topics which are completely different, and most of the time in which you are much less knowledgeable about. Some questions even are wrong. Yes you can put redstone dust on top of glass blocks in Minecraft, I'm sorry but it is possible.

Came back to this app after a long time away. I was looking forward to playing, but unfortunately, it will not connect me and displays a message stating that there is an 'error with connection'. This is odd, because every other app I have installed, are fine. It is the fault of your app and not my network! Try looking into it.

Used to play this back in 2016 - was good fun and got an urge to revisit it. That was a mistake. The app is now littered with adverts that can't be skipped until 15-30 seconds have passed; and with how short the average game is, it quickly begins to add up. There's no solace to be found in (what is new to me) the solo mode, which in addition to the adverts also throws a question from a random and completely different category every 5 questions. if i wanted a different topic I'd just play it...

Good game, I love it! Best quiz game ever! However one problem is that the are too many ads! One 5-10s ad after every replay in the single player mode. But overall an awesome app Edit: Back after 2 years, I have realised that it does not allow me to log in anymore. It keeps saying that there is an issue. I have earned many titles back then when I played and I'm afraid of losing my progress. I wonder if this is a bug?

This app used to be one of the best quiz games around, but I decided to open it again after a while and found that there are now a never-ending barrage of ads. I'm not the kind of person to get annoyed by a few ads on an otherwise free app, but after every single quiz? And to make it unskippable? That's too much. If you like occasionally playing a quiz in between watching ads, I guess this the app for you, otherwise don't bother.

It used to be much better. Around 2014 it was a much simpler, interface was cleaner. It's a straightforward concept, a range of quiz topics and you challenge people from around the word and quiz against each other. Due to ridiculous amount of ads it's now only really playable if you pay to play ad-free. They've also added stupid characters and gems nobody cares about. As well as made it unclear as to whether you are playing a real person or a bot. The app needs to be stripped right back.

This app is very good! It's concept is very good and very entertaining! However, it is a bit laggy, and the messaging system is really bad, you can't see the messages of the person you're talking with unless you close the "messaging window" then re-open it (you can still see the messages from the notification though). I hope they fix this, 'cause it's a very annoying bug :(

Game is almost perfect, wanted to give it a 4.5/5. Biggest issue is the permanant 'dark mode', that is that the question text is white, on a black background. In general dark mode is much easier on the eyes, especially if you're in bed at 2am. But the lack of light dilates the pupils, shallowing the focal point and making it more difficult to focus. That's not a huge issue casually browsing, but in this game it's essential to read as quickly as possible. Developers please add 'light' mode!

The app has plenty of content, enough for many hours of fun. However, it has two glaring flaws. The first one is that most of your matches will be against bots. The second is that some human players, when they are about to lose, intentionally switch off their connection. This keeps their losing stats low, and worse, robs the potential winner of victory, affecting their winning stats.

I last played the game in 2015, and reinstalled yesterday. It's still a very fun game, except I didn't recall there were that many ads. Ads pops up after every round, whether you've only managed to finish hundreds of questions or just one. Some skippable right away, some takes 5 seconds - which sounds fair if the menu and game screen weren't already littered with ads. It's genuinely tiring.

Great topics, each with tons of interesting questions. Each topic I pick at random ends i up being a lot of fun! However, the constant ads are absolutely brutal. 2 long ads between EVERY SINGLE round and an ad is always filling a good portion at the top of the game. Sadly, after looking at the app store, this still seems to be the best quiz app available.

I used to play this game all the time, I competed all the time for the internationally renowned champion titles for my favorite subjects. Over the recent years, it's become evident that the developers have made this game a money making machine, making it lose touch with it's humble and ad-less beginnings. The first money grab was the option to stop ads then came the meaningless in-game currency. Honestly the game was amazing until all of that stuff happened. The game's changed too much. Yikes.

This app is not what it once was. Once based on all types of trivia and having fun, it has turned into a revenue generating monster. Easy controls have been replaced with a maze of buttons designed to make you see the most ads possible. Playing the game has gone into a 30 second ad with 20 second play time formula. or you could pay to remove all ads and have an annoying clunky style maze interface design, void of ads but with all the frustration of the same navigation problems.

I used to really enjoy playing this game a few years ago, especially against friends. With the current pandemic I thought why not give it another go as I've got a lot of free time indoors. The current app is horrendous, it's layout is ridiculous, there's way too many ads, they've added a lot of unnecessary features and overall it's no longer an enjoyable experience. Nonetheless I've not uninstalled the app in disappointment. Please revert it back to a simple app of playing against other people.

I used to play this game all the time with friends. I recently remembered it and wanted to play again, and was so disappointed to see all the new flashy unnecessary nonsense. I understand that some players might like the new extravaganza but it would be nice to have the option to just enjoy the bare bones game - simple quizzes with friends without the cartoons, the multitude of prizes, the daily rewards and whatever else.

Really awful compared to how it used to be. Ads are intrusive and distracting. Weird irrelevant new features like these little characters you get assigned. Game play is glitchy. I only played 3 rounds since reinstalling and I'm pretty sure at least 2 of the opponents weren't real people. All my previous progress was wiped out from when I used to play before. Ugh. Won't be back.

I used to be addicted to this game in high school, years ago. After reinstalling it, the app seems to have gone down the drain. The UI is clunky and unintuitive, there are things EVERYWHERE (from ads to new social features that didn't exist back in the day), and it's just extremely slow/laggy in general. It's so sad to see one of my former favorite apps end up like this. I would've given it a 5-star rating if it had the old UI and simplistic features. It's unusable right now.

Pretty fun overall, and nice to have a game that allows unlimited play without having to pay to advance. Tons of topics and questions available for any taste. Controls in the game are easy, navigating the controls outside the quizzes themselves slightly less so. Recent bugs have dropped my rating: frequently tells me there is an error trying to connect to a random game. The game tells you that you win and shows your experience, but doesn't register and knocks you back down when you play next.

Update: it was a glitch I guess, and I don't have any more ads, just an occasional offer to watch an ad to earn gems. I can live with that considering how much I like this game. I like this game and decided to go ad-free, but guess what? You pay USD3 to go ad free all of ONE time. I started playing a few minutes later and the pesky ads were back. not cool!

FAR too many ads. While the game itself is alright I am constantly bombarded with ads. It's too much and ruins the experience of the game. I might be a little cynical but it just having a nice-ish user interface to make the bombardment of ads seems more normal as a way to get easy money for the developers. It seems like it is directly at the expense of the player enjoyment but it's easy money for them.

If I could give a negative star, I would. I have been playing on and off since 2014, I earned many titles and top spots, now I can't even log in to my original account. The simplicity of the original app was what made it the best, adding single player mode was the last great thing. It has exponentially degraded and is pitiful. Disappointing doesn't even describe how horrid the game has become.

I played this game alot when it first came out. It was a blast, but I got a new device and forgot about if for awhile. When I got it again just today, I've had nothing but problems. It keeps crashing constantly, in game, and after game. I've only played 3 quizzes, in the "name the candy" category. Plz fix this problem, and I'll give 5 stars.

Very amazing, the UI is not that inuitive though, a lot of tabs which unamazingly clutters the UI. Fix the UI. Gamewise, there are some inconsistencies in the scoring that infuriatingly makes the game unfair. For example, in some games I still get 20 points when I answer in the ninth second, while in other games I'd only get 19 on the ninth second. Also, a game I encountered is simplt unfair. I got 19 points, whereas my opponent got 20 points where in fact I was the one who answered first!

So I got this game a while ago and it was so fun competing against people. I re-downloaded it and I know most people hate the ads, I am not a huge fan but I get it. However, for me I just seem to only ever get matched with bots. level 1's with a random category title and a random photo. I am assuming because no one wants to watch the ads, but the player base is so low I because top 10 in one game.

Awesome! Quizup absolutely nailed it. Earlier I had a problem that they would show 15 second ads after every quiz which ruined the experience and I uninstalled it but now the problem isnt there. The quizzing experience is thrilling and enjoyable and I am in love with this game. Keep up the good work. I wanna recommend having 30 pointa for bonus questions rather than 40.

Used to be such a good quiz game! I used to play this a lot a few years back, there were no silly characters, points or ads and it had some great quizzes. I just re downloaded it and I am so disappointed. Ads keep popping up, they have all these points and gems tou can collect and badly designed characters for some reason. It's just so hectic! Very sad

(ADS EVERYWHERE) I have been playing this game for about 8 years and I've always loved it. It's for sure the game I kept coming back the longest BUT the ads have become insufferable. So much so that I'm scared to lose a game while playing single mode because I don't want to deal with the ads. I understand monetizing the app but showing an ad everytime a game ends is just unbearable and somewhat disrespectful to the fans that have followed the game for so long.
