NB! Tab3 7"-8.4" and Tab4 7"-8.4" owners! Your tablet has portrait (not landscape) screen, but the IR transmitter is located on left or right side of your tablet (not on top side). So, if you holding your tablet in portrait mode then please don't forget to point your tablets IR transmitter's led (IR-blaster) directly at the TV !

The point of having this remote is the fact that lost mine and can't can't function my TV but this app requires you to function the TV to be able to have this app to function the TV so how am I supposed to go into Wi-Fi settings and Wi-Fi this connection to the remote without a remote?
I downloaded 3 apps before this one, this is the only app I found that was free, stupid easy to set up, and works perfectly.
Another trash app that doesn't work. How is this app going to tell me my tv isn't smartcast when it only tells me it's smartcast about 5 times while powering up and loading.
It is useless,any time I attempt.to press a button it "searches" for a vizio tv, identifies my tv, but continues searching without ever allowing me to connect to it. let me clarify, when I say it never allows me to connect to it I mean whenever I click on the found TV it goes back to the remote and if I had selected the TV and all is well but the moment I try to use the remote the search for TV window pops up again and it continues to be useless.
It would be nice if the description would actually describe or list the TVs supported by the app. After installation I found out that it would not work with my tv (E40-C2), which was released back in 2015! The app looks very decent though and it could work on newer models of tvs. Thanks for the effort anyways.
So far, its awesome. Have an S7 EDGE; connected on the 1st try, haven't seen a single ad, swaps quickly between TV, smartcast, and my camera system on HDMI-1. Still learning to navigate qwerty keyboard option for hulu search...has one small glitch with backspace/delete key causing it to back up to the previous PAGE instead of deleting an incorrect character. Great job on the app...thanks!
Any button other than volume or power just opens hulu, logs you in, and begins playing the first show it's on when the menu loads. Like 'OK' is being pressed continuously. If you hit any key once this happens, it pauses and unpauses said movie rather than it's intended function. It will finally exit back to smartcast menu and then the process repeats if you try pressing anything again, even after hard restart of app and fresh install.
Great app, functions absolutely amazingly well. Only downside: BS con ads. They like to show up on a slight delay so you unlock your phone, go to click a button, then click adds instead and have your mobile antivirus go on high alert while ads try to hijack your phone. A bit concerning, but like I said, the app works great! Just make sure your phone is well protected! I work lvl 3 tech support, like I said, great app, just protect itself from their BS ads!!
Excellent app.... Almost perfect! The only thing it can't do is go into the actual t.v. menu settings. Everything else works just the same as the original remote. When an ad periodically pops up, you just "X" out in the corner.
For my TV is working good I don't know expected for another one
Best smartcast vizio remote. It works great using the wifi to control your vizio TV. Easy to pair. The only drawback is that as soon as you open the app it turns the TV on. The adds are minimal unlike some other apps out there that bombard you with adds.
i had this app on a different phone and it worked great. i got a new phone and redownloaded it, and after trying to use it, it says it won't work if the tv doesn't have smartcast. my tv is old. fairly disappointed, as it used to work great
Works great. I dont waste time looking for the remote every 10 minutes anymore. 😂 I just wish this app had a widget feature. Other than that, its very convenient.
I like the app, my only gripe is the ads. If there was a way to turn them off I would rate it higher. Until then I would recommend it, but only if someone was desperate enough to sit through pointless ads.
Searches for device and does show my VIZIO TV. When I click on the VIZIO device it goes back to the remote and I'll click on something and it starts the search for the device again. This keeps repeating indefinitely.
My remote stopped working so I tried this one. It couldn't find my Vizio TV. :( I had the TV on and off and tried multiple times each for a few minutes at a time. Maybe my model isn't supported? It's e-701i
Works great my grandkids are always misplacing the tv remote so I decided to download an App to replace it until the original remote turns up I don't even waste my time looking for it anymore I just keep this App on my home screen and problem solved and when the original tv remote pops up we have 2 remotes...I love it..
This app was a life saver! I have a very old vizio TV that I don't have a remote to and all the newer styled TV remote apps didn't work for it but i found this app! Thank you so much. You are a life saver.
I had no trouble downloading or using the app. For some reason a screen popped up and it became useless. I could no longer use the app. My friends Roseleah & Andrew Jefferson gave me a remote control. That is the only way the tv could be used.

The app was searching for a Vizio TV to connect too and never found one and in sitting directly in front of the Vizio TV. Tried the app on two separate TVs in two separate rooms and it didnt work either time . Couldn't not give the app any stars.
I tried a bunch of apps for my TV before finding this one. All the others didn't work or had so many ads it's made me wanna throw my phone. This app developer cares about your experience, its refreshing.
Worked really well for a few days and then my TV updated. Ever since then, I haven't been able to navigate. Maybe the app just needs an update. Pretty solid overall.
Wouldn't turn the TV on or do anything else other than keep searching for a TV. Everytime I selected my TV it would stop searching and as soon as I hit a button, it starts searching again. Horrible
It connects so easily and so much better than other apps like this it has no adds and Is easy to use
Only remote that would work on my smart tv vizio tried so many that would not connect. This one was easy and adds minimal. Love it the few hours ive used it.
Doesn't work for my XRT 300 remote. The app spent several minutes looking for a Smartcast TV before I cancelled it. It shouldn't spend more than 30 seconds before failing in my opinion. Apparently my IR controlled Vizio isn't supported
I don't Understand why it tells me I do not have to have Wi-Fi yet then tells me the only way to connect is if my phone and TV are both connected to Wi-Fi?
