I want to love it, but it is a ghost of what RTC was. I play this on my Chromebook and, while it does give a mild sense of nostalgia, it's certainly not the RollerCoaster Tycoon we've all come to know and love. It's riddled with ads and endless prompts for in-game purchases, and every time you close the game, you have to restart your device if you want to open it again and play -- otherwise you just get a black screen with numbers and words seizing across the borders.
Like other recent reviewers I'm having the exact same problem. It used to be that it wouldn't connect to the internet so I went offline, even then the game wouldn't work properly as I had a constant pop-up telling me to reconnect, & when I attempted to do so, it didn't work. Now the game won't load at all. The loading bar gets stuck, & it won't even take me to my park. Please fix this problem Atari, I've made good progress on my park & I'd hate to see it go to waste!
Not bad at all, runs well on tab s4, looks great. A few graphical issues with buildings glitching visually if there is a lot close together. Controls are a bit akward at first but doesn't take long to get used to them. Not pay to win but there are some nice things that cost a lot of tickets. EDIT....Now one star as they seem to have shut the game down without any warning. All people I know that play it can't get in like me. Been over a week, awful communication with support. Don't bother
Well, the game was great. Mostly because of how freely you could build your coasters. But, the camera controls were very annoying. It is hatd to look around your park with ease. That is the only problem I found in this game. Also, you should have a setting option which allows you to control the size of the stats you see on the screen.
I honestly love this game. I just wish the graphics were a little better. The game still has minor bugs that don't really bother me. There isn't a "contact support" button to report the bugs, so 🤷♀️I do wish Atari would add more to the game, though❤ Other than the minor bugs that make it so I have to reload the game, the game is super fun and simple.
I love this game so much BUT it wont load quite often. I have 3 parks started & 80% of the time when I try to travel between them it will not load. More frustrating is when it won't load the game in the beginning & I close all the way out & then try again, & again. Most of the time it will then load at some point but there have been two instances where I tried a dozen or more times and finally uninstalled the game & reinstalled to get it to load. Then u hav 2 redo tutorial b4 u get ur park back
The game itself is good, there are just a few things I'd fix - you can't rotate coasters that you buy 'premade' as it were which is super annoying as this often means buying more land than you need! Also in the campaigns for ships the timer sets back to 5 minutes when you make a challenge after 5 minutes which is really silly as this just keeps it going for ages and ruins a last minite bidding war.
The glitches & lack of necessary features leaves a lot to be desired. Suggestions: Add tickets to the Wheel of Fortune, a storage feature to store buildings & attractions in to make it easier to move them around if I want to redesign my park & please fix touch sensitivity. The slight touch sends things moving in all directions, this has caused some of my placements to be deleted. Also the color choices to customize are not cute. Since we have to buy this feature, better options please.
Been playing this game for a year. Got a new tablet and a new phone. I downloaded the app, it automatically showed I already had a game under my cloud, or email, whatever, but when it goes to open the game at the beginning where you see it's loading,it gets a little further than half way, stops, and doesnt go any further. It wont load on either devices. Very disappointing since im on level 68. I end up having to close everything out. Sometimes it will say the app isnt responding.
Hi! So, um, yeah I've been playing this game since 2016 and I finally trying to get back on the game, when I stuck looking at a loop go round and round for eternity. After watching go for 15 MINUTES, I get slapped in the face with an error message. If anyone could tell what's happening and when it will be fixed, that would be amazing. I really, REALLY don't want to lose my progress!!
Good fun. There is the opportunity to merge both a water park ride with a regular one without having to build separate parks. I love being able to build rides and complete tasks. The downside is that there has not been an update since 2018 so we must work out what to do next by ourselves. I prefer this to the new rollercoaster tycoon mobile games
Fun older game. No internet connection after reaching level 30 or so. About 4th time now in which a total delete and reload. I wish i could go up higher in levels but alas with no connection i can't. No option to skip tutorials either when you restart. What do you expect though for something free.
DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. Everytime I went to buy coins or even the starter pack the charge went through but zi did not receive what I bought, I believe I wasted about 20$ trying to figure out what the hell was going wrong and now I dont want to play the game anymore. Not to mention your game is not saved at all. Everytime I close the game it restarts and I have to do everything over. When I messaged customer service about these issues the email was not valid, and I tried to numerous times.
Stopped working.... Not been able to get on this game for a few days now, so losing out on my daily bonuses,, can't understand why it has, it just keeps saying re connect or play offline, so when you click play off line, and when you do it, it won't let you do anything on the game as it just goes back to reconnect or play off line, frustrating...
my opinion, get this game, you won't regret it. It's a great game, but the problem is that the building textures load in slow and the path ways are invisible. But this just became a problem so either it's my phone or the game, and I'm pretty sure it's the game, so please fix it in the next update.
I am disappointed and frustrated with the game. It does allow you to skip tasks, if you are unable to complete them. So can't move on to next level. Also the controls are fiddley when creating coasters. On a positive note: game has great graphics.
I do enjoy being able to create my own park, but I'm only able to succesfully work on my main park. The other park you work on in order to gain rewards never seem to progress into a 3-rating park unless I pay for resources i suppose which defeats the progression purpose of the game. I rate it an honest 3 star due to its nostalgia, but I wish it were a hair easier with the extra park progression.
Sadly nothing like the original series that encourages imagination and creativity. The sandbox structure was the main appeal and trying to make intense but not extreme roller coasters was a great challenge. None of that retained in this version. Another mobile game trying to monitise people's time. Shame.
Well started off great. But then it told me i was offline and would not reconnect. I tried everything from restarting phone, closing all other apps, tried with wifi and without, even did a system cleaner and still nothing, so deleted and did the redownload then it still told me that i was still offline. Then i noticed after entering offline i had lost everything.
Update: game is now working though there's been so many changes i am not able to connect with Facebook andI swear some of the decorations went up in price. It is these reasons the game gets 3 stars. ------‐------‐-------------------‐------------- Game will not load. I've played it in the past but now it's not working at all. Had to Uninstall maybe I'll try again in a few months.
I really enjoy RC since I was a little girl playing it in my computer. But I have an annoying problem with this one. Every time I edit a coaster, and editing is part of the goals, it gets unavailable. And the size is good, it fits my park, it's all good but it's not open for my peeps. My buzz is getting lower, just like my hype for keeping the game installed in my cellphone. I would like some help with it before I give up! Honestly
Sept 2021 Yay, after a few years, it seems to be working again. Posted this in 2019: No longer works. I've been playing this game for many years and have built some amazing parks. Just suddenly stopped working about 10 months ago or so. I've kept the game installed on my S20 ultra, android 11, in the hope that one day it'll start working again. Come on Atari, have some decency and either fix this issue or apologise to all the many Atari fans.. I've still got my Atari ST!
