My app was fine along with being connected to my watch being fine. All of a sudden, the app is gone from my phone. I have tried many times to re-install and it will not move past the "initializing" screen. All of my bank account and card info is now inaccessible. (by me atleast) I can not log in on my phone in any way to get it working or to delete my data. The website is absolutely no help either as their is no access to Samsung Pay available. I even tried the chat and noone responded. Help me!
Frequent changes to app are annoying. Several times I've gone to purchase something with the app while in line and the changes were disruptive, causing delay and requiring me to eventually just have to use my physical card. I won't really consider this app good until I can leave my wallet home and use this app alone. Best feature of the app is that it doesn't require NFC and can be used with older POS terminals.
This application is terrible if you are planning on using for your galaxy smart watch. The systems always glitches where it does not recognize your card and the only way to to fix it is by fully reseting the watch back to factory settings. From my research, I see this has been a common issue with the application for about 5 years and Samsung still can't fix it, pathetic
I have used this app everyday and everywhere and it was awesome, but now I upgraded to a S22 Ultra and now It only works at very few places. I've had Samsung Galaxy for years but this is the most upsetting thing I've ever experienced from them. The whole point of upgrading is to get a better phone with more features not less features. The real question I have is why take away something that worked flawlessly and now replace it with something that doesn't work, it makes no sense.
The app is amazing for people who are in foreign countries that don't support NFC payments. Only thing is they way it launches, it's really buggy and sometimes takes around 10-30 seconds to load. That's the only problem I have on this app. It works the same as the wallet app from Apple and Google Pay.
Samsung Pay is so convenient to use and works at so many pay stations that I regret not using it sooner. Adding credit cards is a snap and I like that I can easily use different cards or change the default card. It does require a Samsung phone but then Samsung makes great phones. Get one.
Clutch when I don't have my card on my person. Most people are only aware of 🍎 pay, but where that is accepted , usually samsung pay is also, despite the lack of advertising. You'll have to contact your bank to confirm adding your card to you account. Also, take advantage of the cash back coupons.
I long for the old days when I could amaze people by paying on machines without a NFC reader. I could go anywhere and feel confident I could pay, yes, even in Idaho. I am also bummed that my note 5 had to be retired, cause of lack of support. I updated, and then could not load my cards back on the note 5. I have always held the position that Samsung is better than Apple, but now I am wondering in what way.
This has always been a trusty app for me. I started using it when the S9 came out and have been using it ever since. The only issue I ever had was trying to get a refund back to the original card since it changes the app. Haven't had to return anything so not sure if this is still an issue.
It used to be much simpler to use. The current version (4.9.00) now requires several taps to get to a screen where you can actually get the card up, fingerprint read, and let it NFC a vending machine. Samsung: You're regressing in ease of using this app.
Very easy-to-use application that responds to the NFC device even when the app is closed. All you have to do is unlock the screen and then hold it up to the NFC and it will automatically open Samsung Pay.
When i open the app my screen just turn off but the touch was still working, i dont know what happened, but I had to turn it off without see anything. Please correct this error, it happened when the app ask for my password to use the card, instantly happened with no reason
Works Well and Easy to activate card through individual bank phone app. It's pretty simple but not lacking any of the niceties of some of the more overly developed apps. It has a purpose and serves it well.
I would love to use Samsung pay but I cant stand the constant pop ups and banner ads trying to sell me deals on credit cards. The UI is cluttered and the user experience is annoying AF. I have all ad options turned off in the settings menu yet there are still tons of ads. And they dont support Mastercard which is the card I use 90% of the time. Also, it would be nice if I could edit the name of each card in my profile (food, personal expenditures, ect).
No MST payment anymore (on S22 Ultra)! What's the point of using Samsung Pay anymore?! The only advantage it had over competitors was being able to pay at all those regular terminals with no NFC, and I would have used it if it didn't have the feature from the beginning, but removing such a cool feature is an absolute deal breaker. During COVID, I used the MST all the time for contactless payments and quite frankly for its ease of use, not having to reach for my card, which I can't anymore.
App works but the fact that it forces you to enter an unlock code every time you take the watch off makes it too annoying to use. Code should only be needed when you use the app not every time you take the watch off. Hoping the competitor app doesn't force the same because i like having this functionality.
Doesn't work on my s21 ultra. Worked great on my note 8. When I open the app, I can't get past the first page. I click on the "get started" but the icon spins and then nothing happens. I would love to use this app!
Update: still enjoying the convenience an feed security offered by this app. Easy to use, more secure than card only use in my opinion. I've used it for about a month now and only didn't work one time. I'm sure that time was really dated vendor equipment not apps fault.
Always worked really well, I've never had issues with the app. It's easy to use and since the card slider displays at the bottom of my S22 ultra, it makes it easier to put it up quickly, select my card, and use my fingerprint to open up the pay option.
Very convenient, but inconvenient when some places don't know how to use their terminal. I would like to see the reward system would be a bit higher, regardless there is one and it is appreciated.
UPDATE: They have since updated the app to remove the ridiculous amount of ads inside their own proprietary software so for that reason I will bump it up to 4 stars.. The only main feature missing from this app I'm this app is a pay service so I could use something other than Google pay or venmo. If it had no stupid advertisements or at least a way to turn them off, I'd give it a 5. I'm not getting your bank cards, or your other 3rd party bullcrap no matter how much I see it
No verification method menu (fingerprint or pin option choice) anymore when you go into settings. So, when I try to use the card it just spins and won't open to pay. It still works through my Samsung watch though. Please fix.
Automatically popping up over my keyboard on certain apps to advertise for Samsung. I didn't ask for it and it's annoying. Remove this feature for a better rating.
It works great on my Note 20 Ultra again. After the February 2022 update, had to follow advice from another user to make it stop turning the credit cards just briefly after fingerprinting - not long enough to complete a transaction. His advice is to open the app, go to settings, tap on reset app. It worked! My prior Samsung rewards card automatically populated with the same $ balance. My membership card populated as well. Had to add back credit cards and reactivate them. Still enjoying it!
Doesn't work on my galaxy s22+. I never had a problem on my old phone, but I can't get past the opening page, when I click "get started", the icon spins and then stops, and I clock get stated again, same thing. If I can't use the app then it's worthless to keep on the phone. Was good when it worked
I have tried several times to use this app. I have updated and installed numerous times. Cleared out cache data. I'm very unhappy. I have sent several emails and messages to customer support about the problem. Even tried troubleshooting it on the web. Nothing worked. If I could completely Uninstall the app, I would!
It's both cool and annoying that you can swipe from the bottom to open the app. Cool when i want my wallet, annoying when i want to get to my open apps list.
It is a bit complicated to navigate and set up, nothing out of the ordinary but definitely takes some time getting used to. The Samsung card set up is also not that easy to use and very limited with the amount of times you can add money to it; just one. Which makes it completely useless if you're not able to add more to it as wished.
