Samsung Video Library

Problem - One cannot pinch the video to make it smaller or larger. There are only pre-fixed setting to accommodate the video. This is tough for screens with camera. The video stretches across camera and the viewing experience is compromised. If Samsung can upgrade the video player to pinch the video to fit the screen the way the viewer wants to then that would be splendid.

I noticed something, this video player has some sort of audio/video delay. When watching a movie, I hear the audio first then the action. Characters' voices are heard before their mouths move. Please fix this. I watched the same movie in VLC and it worked perfectly, which means that the audio/video delay is not the fault of the video itself but rather the Samsung Video Library's fault. Please fix.

it works when it works. it says the app may not be optimised for my device even though I'm using a Galaxy Tab S4. I can see why now. it freezes up from time to time. there's sound but no video. then I go back to the video library and try a different video and it's the same conclusion. exited the app and start over and it still does the same thing. I need a different app

Recently update of gallery on android 11, makes the videos play like a preview and doesn't allow to pause the video, I mean should we be forced to open it separately, its a total time wastage. I am very disappointed, it wasn't something that needed to be changed in the first place, please bring the feature back for it has become too time consuming and on the top of that annoying!

Exactly what I was looking for - thanks Samsung. Is a nice way to view and browse your videos. The UI is simple and clear, and ideal for browsing to find the video that you want to watch or preview. HOWEVER! You cannot view or browse the folder / file structure on your device. It can sort videos by folder, but the process is automated (i.e. it shows what folders IT found videos in - you cannot simply browse the storage on your device). Hence at times the app is a complete pain / useless :0/

I was going to rate it 4 stars but went with 3 because although the app is fine it's missing one function that was highly useful to me when it was there a few years ago. The function was simply a reverse and forward arrows that popped up when a video was paused. Allowing the video to reverse or forward one frame at a time while the video was paused. I utilized that function ALL THE TIME. If it was added back to Samsung Video then i would definitely rate it a 5 star app. PLEASE ADD IT!!

The latest update is garbage. You have to go in to options tab and select Open in Video Player every single time you want to play a video saved in the gallery. This is ridiculously inconvenient and I am already at the point of uninstalling most of the Samsung apps because across the board, each one seems to get worse with every update...

Dumb! You can already see videos by clicking the hamburger on the main menu in photos and it has an option to view the videos on your device. Thats all this damn app does and you don't even need it. What garbage. I was hoping to use it to crop videos because I can't find a way to do that in "video editor" app by samsung. What kind of video editor only allows you to make a clip of the video and thats the only one edit. Before recent update you could do all kinds of edits. Wth samsung???

Why add another step for video player. Open in video player automatically has better control over the video. Having to hit the three dots then open video in video player is useless and a complete waste of time. Samsung did not need to add this additional step. I can't believe that Samsung actually paid someone or an entire department at Samsung to come up with this useless idea. What a waste of time and money!

Tye new update takes what uses to be standard video play for saved video and now has converted it to an "instant play" type feature. There is no ability to forward, reverse, or pause videos as before. What ever happened to the old adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? This update is AWFUL!!!!!

One of the best Video App that I have ever used...I have a Note 20 Ultra and It works seamlessly...I love how you can slide your finger forward or backwards and get a precise spot in the video...also the screen brightness slide on the left side and the volume slide on the right side...you don't have to touch your volume buttons or pull down to adjust the brightness on your phone.. all done with a slide of a finger on this video player...love it keep up the good work

FB and other useless apps are preinstalled, but this is not! I mean come on Samsung. What's the big idea? Edit: App needs some improvements. More sorting options for example. Edit 2022: App now crashes every time I open it. Now it is completely useless!

Latest update is very very very STUPID!! I dunno why you gotta make it look like IOS. The previous video player was much better please roll it back and remove this new video player thing. I don't really need to press options, open in video player everytime i need to watch a clip... that's very frustrating and makes me want to think of alternatives Just make the other way around, start the videos in the video player as default, and add in the options an option for your new player, on/off somethin

It's been made less functional. It used to remember the video you were watching and where you were in it when you opened the app up. It does not do that after an update recently. I wonder how much work they had to put into the update to remove functionality? I've submitted this review before, but it seems to have been removed. It's an obvious thing that a player should remember where you left off. I can only imagine they are working on removing this feature from their music player too.

I installed this app 2 days ago and I lost inside all of my videos and folders... And there is no trash to be able to restore all of my best moments... I am so sad. Isn't there a way to repair this situation ? I appreciate if you may give me some clear way to get back to my precious videos.

After the recent update There is only a play and pause button for my videos I cant control the playback on video player unable to fast forward, back or skip, i would have to open video player manualy while im already in gallery if i want the controls. this is ridiculous i can't choose or select what i want to watch freely...you are going backwards with this

When clicking on subtitles it shows all the subtitles list from entire phone +sd card which makes it really hard to find the exact subtitle that I need to select. There's no folder wise subtitle selection UI or a search bar. Please give something on this. Either a searchbar or folderwise subtitles UI.

Great app with useful volume and brightness control. I wish it could improve on the editing part. When trying to cut a video, I wish Samsung can make an option of inputting the exact time (minutes and seconds) a user is targeting to cut, the swiping is highly inaccurate.

For some odd reason I cannot shorten or "cut" any of my videos via the "Editor". When I click the scissors icon and shorten video, I don't have the option to save it. Every other edit function works properly and allows changes to be saved. I can however shorten videos when trying to share via text message.

Love that the video player has no Ads, my daily driver on my Galaxy A52, but since the latest update, I noticed it doesn't have the "Auto screen fit" settings anymore! Please can this be fixed ASAP? Also, you need to add a subtitle search & download feature too like MX player, it's been a long time coming, do that and it's 5 stars for me, thanks.

This video player app. Can't able to play higher than 1080p. formats UHD or 4K 2160p. videos. Totally failed to play higher formats Videos. You Samsung galaxy Application development team's members what are you doing regarding this problem? From 27 August 2018 Samsung Mobile application development team members couldn't updating this Video Library player App very annoying experience... Please 🙏 solve this problem immediately!

hello videos this app does not work properly after one UI on my s9 plus device. few folders are hided automatically if we are open the application. and finally if we choose play song then song folder automatically hided then we go to three lines at the right top corner.then we click hided buttons then we are unhided all folder. please give me update for issue if you are not provided update then i use the MX player which is one of the best application forever.

I feel the pain of all Samsung users after this update. The question is, did Google force Samsung to adopt this change to promote their own video players? I installed this app and failed to make it the default player. And now like all of the rest, I have to open this app to play the videos I want to watch instead of video opens by default with this app. In any case, we expect from Sansung to revert to the previous version and let us enjoy our videos with less trouble

The thumbnails are too big! Makes it more cumbersome if I want to delete multiple videos for example. The UI for the Samsung "Video Player" app is much better but it is more tedious to access as there's no app drawer icon and I have to access it through Galaxy Apps.

Its not a bad app, it has its flaws like the fact that you cant change the videos place manually. But my issue right now is that even tho it should play the videos one after the other, for some reason it jumps like 9 videos ahead and plays them, this happens at the 4th video and when i changed its place it jumps from the 3rd video to the 10th even when i placed these vids in another folder it happened again. ikd what the is going on here

Sometimes when I hit the skip button to move on to the next video (even with the auto play next setting activated), it takes me back to the list of videos. This isn't necessarily a big issue but it would be nice to have the basic controls being properly functional.

For some reason, ever since I updated my phone the app won't show my video library anymore. I still have the videos on my device and I can view them, but I can't view the library on the app. It's frustrating, and I want to know if something is wrong on my end that caused this or if it's the app's fault. Maybe it's not compatible with the update and needs to be updated?

I've had Samsung Galaxys for several years. I still can't edit videos using video editor. That's the only I reason bought Samsung was for the editor. Samsung has yet to fix its bugs. Very, very disappointing video app. Your software engineers ought to get into another line of work.
