ScanMaster for ELM327

This was one of the best obd2 scanner apps that I've used. I use it on my win7 laptop and on my Android phone. The problem I have now is it worked fine with my ELM327 adapter last year. Just tried it again and the app connects to the dongle on Bluetooth, but gives an error as if the ECM is off and it is not. Looks like I lost something when the app was updated . I hope they can fix this because I do not want to buy a different dongle just to work with this app

You can't clear/erase codes, it just saves them. Not to mention it won't connect to scan either. I keep getting (error connection) code plus no actual customer support. I paid $4 for the "premium" version too which is no different from the basic version. Don't waste your time with this app.

Tried this with an old ELM 327 that supports ODBII protocols on a 2012 Honda, and using BT connection. It verified the catalytic converter was the problem, i fixed it, and was able to clear the error code. Only issue is that to clear it you have to pick the Trashcan button, which is not obvious. Developers would do themselves a favor by changing this.

Does not work with ELM 327 MINI OBD II Bluetooth adaptor. During setup it sees it at first but then it always fails with an error saying the adaptor is not found. I know the adaptor isn't the issue because I can use it with Torque Pro and there are no other apps using the adaptor when I try to use ScanMaster.

Works good for pulling trouble codes. It does lose connecting at times to the Mr. Mechanic OBDII that I have. I would get the full version but not all the functions in the free version work. Not sure if it a compatibility thing but would be a great app if it did.

I'm the shop foreman for a German sports car company. This does what is needed w/o a bunch of silly nonsense like dials, needles and graphs. Definitely more professional than the others I've tried. A quick alternative to a professional scan tool.

I installed the tool and paid for the upgrade and it worked great for 45 seconds then stopped and I cant restart it has anyone got any suggestions. I deleted it and reinstalled but that left me back at square 1 and having to pay again. at present not all that happy. Tanks for your help in putting things in order

Worked very well 2007 Avalanche. It clears error code, overall, fairly intuitive and works! Zero cost. Did have to connect the BT odb2 in settings, then again in the app when it starts, but worked well,!

constant crashes. other than that, excellent! free version has code reset, and limited PID visibility. this info saved my trip. after further evaluation, with positive results, i well probably pay, just to say thank you.

Excellent easy to connect and use. Free version does all you need to check and remove error codes.

GREAT TOOL!!! For quick and dirty DTC retrieval and basic data stream values, it can't be faulted. And for the price, why would anyone complain? I'd like to see what a paid version would unlock but I'm not keen to fork over the cash just yet.

Best diagnostic, used 2 or 3 times now and has not disappointed, easy to use in app, better than a connected diagnostic attached tool. Gives more scope to watch whats happening in the engine.

I have a clear fault light on my truck dashboard but the app says there are no faults. the result is I cannot reset it. This renders the app pretty much useless for its intended purpose.

I've had my scan tool reader for a few years now spend the $5 on the app it is it's totally worth it. I fixed a lot of my friends vehicles to it only takes a second to plug in

Very useful apps. Save time and money... If you know the problem then direct to it and fixed rather than guesting that you not sure...

I purchased the pro version, was charged, and never received it. There is nothing in the app called "Purchase License". It is a RIP OFF. Don't bother wasting your time downloading it.

Can't get rid of purchase full version or links to other apps even after paying $5 for the full version.

The App does not read the ECU of the Vehicle, paid the Prof Version but unable to work to full extence. Lack of Professional. Waste of money franckly.

love this app. helped me out numerous times. I'm using the scanmaster lite which is a free app. However, I'm going to purchase the pro version.

This works really well on my Bluetooth ELM 327 device Using a Samsung S10e (Android software V10). I am using the pro version of the app.

Guys! this is a question I would like to know why on this king of software there's no possibility to have OUTPUT TEST MODE? can you explain why only on hardware scanners is available? Is just a curious question.

It is so nice to have this app in conjunction with OBD2 device for car diagnosis. I love it so much to fix any car.

Not good purchased this app only to find out it doesn't detect OBD Link MX+ Bluetooth adaptor.

Does not work with my elm327 mini. Claims to be partially supported but doesn't even connect to the car

Is easy to read and easy to follow ,and tells you what the problem is I like it.
