I never liked science when I had to take it in school. I enjoy learning about the curiosities of our universe now that I'm not being tested on it. I like learning about all aspects of science. My goal is to learn something new every day so I can have interesting conversations with people I meet no matter what their interests are.
Love this app. My service provider changed. So I unlinked my old one, but when I try to link my new one it just says "something went wrong try again" I've tryed Uninstalling and reinstalled it. Cleared cache. Restart device. Nothing works. Please help.
Would like an option to pay so I can get all new episodes, because Sling is not a listed TV provider.
Well. I guess I should have remembered that when something says "free" it only means the download. Nearly everything was locked. You ask for cable company login. No issue there. Except for the tiny problem of Spectrum wanting me to spend an extra $40 a month just to upgrade so I can get Science Channel (of course then I wouldn't need to be suckered into downloading to view on a 6 inch screen. I could simply watch on TV). DELETED! Corporate America is going to price themselves out of business.
It used to work fine. Since a recent upgrade, I assume, it will not open and exits with an error. I subscribe to Spectrum and all features were unlocked. I've tried uninstalling and installing new again rebooting and even a forced stop. Nothing helps. After re-installing twice I let the app sit until the 10th. It finally opened without any errors. I have no idea why, but it now works!
Over the past year or so I have tried this app on three phones, 2 Samsungs and an LG, and it just never opens. I dont have any issues with the other Discovery apps just this one. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple times. Not sure where the bug is, but since about half of the reviews I saw all say the app won't open and/or times out I'd think there would be a fix by now.
I love this app. But no matter how strong my wifi is, the episodes wont load. And when they do, the picture quality is the worst imaginable. I dont know if it's my TV provider or my wifi. Edit: I realized that the app works much better on my Roku TV than on my phone. And my phone works a little better on the Wifi now. Thanks to everyone at Discovery!
A good enough app, old UI but still very functional. I use it exclusively to stream to my Android TV box because Science/Discovery doesn't provide separate apps, they just depend on Chromecast. Problem with that is I now have a 50MB remote, basically, just taking up space on my phone. ... Reaponse: I won't be signing up, I'll know it's supported when it's present in the list of apps not installed on my AndroidTV. Also, I don't want multiple, unrelated, unwanted emails. But thanks for the reply.
Used to be a good app for streaming with Google Chromecast (first gen). Everytime now the Chromecast comes up with "unknown error" and the app will show "not available for streaming with your TV package please restart the app". Plays fine from the phone or intermediary device. I like how they try and point fingers at every other direction, but their "new and improved app" 👎 Edit: explain to me how I connect to my Chromecast (2.4 GHz) ( requiring an intermediary device) from outside my network?
Interesting content, but please put your data harvesting where the sun don't shine.
Useless app that keeps looping to: "download latest version" No matter how many times you download it does not fix the issue. I have had nothing but issues with all of these apps since they launched their discovery plus network Which I actually have but it does not contain some of the content of the individual apps
This app never works It always says unable to connect please check your network connection and try again but everything else in the world works only this app it needs to be fixed
S21 Ultra = Successfully linked with Spectrum,,,,,,,,, Tab S7 = Says all set but wont link with Spectrum,,,,,,,,, Very frustrating because I stream more on the tab
The app is not linking with the TV provider. It wants to launch but it does nothing. App needs to be fixed.
With DirecTV this app used to be great, now I can't login to my account. I'm getting an error that says "External System Failure". Not sure what that means. ***UPDATE: This was a simple fix. Cleared cache and i logged in fine. Good app but so many ads during shows.
I get a "network not in your TV package" for all of the networks I actually have in my package. It works fine with the other apps, but the other apps don't integrate all of the other discovery network shows. Edit: no help after I signed out and back in. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted data... Nothing fixed my issues.
Please for the love of how the universe works fix your app. It buffers, studders, closes by itself, and generally just freezes up for no apparent reason. I have it on xbox and my phone and its just as horrible on both. But you have my favorite science series ever on there so I'm trying to stick it out. Also HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE ALL THE SEASONS OF A SHOW THAT STARTED ON YOUR CHANNEL?
doesn't work on my asus tablet running android 7. very disappointed. fix it or get deleted 07/15/19 Thank you Discovery Communications for attaching a response to my review. It appears that you've fixed the issue. I appreciate your reaching out. I have full access to all available programs through the app again.
3 minutes of ads again every 5-10 minutes adds up. I'm spending double the time to watch something that's 30 minutes long due to this. I understand ads bring revenue, but this is greedy. I would be happy to have a paid ad free version for all of these apps.
Cool shows but just one episode after another, no way to turn off autoplay. Don't fall asleep with this app going. It'll give you weird dreams all night long. I used the link the developers provided in response to my review. Hopefully this will lead to an autoplay toggle and video quality selector.
The only problem with this app imo is that there is relatively little of the free content that I can watch so I can decide if it is worth paying for. There is still quite a bit of free content though. For what it's worth, I am likely going to pay for the service because the content does seem to be very good across the board.
well up untill a week ago i loved the science chanel go and discovery go apps. unfortunately for the last week niether app will work at all. the only thing i get is the spinning wheel on launch for a few minutes then a promt sayimg tye action could not be perfermormed try again. so i tried my own trouble shooting. my memory on the phone is good my phone is a year old high end phone up to date with updates. i have tried uninstalling the apps and re installing the apps 3 times now no luck
App constantly logs me out of my Xfinity account forcing me to log back in order to watch content. The app also fails to notify me it's done so, thus, causing the "loading circle" to stay on the screen indefinitely when I select a new show to watch, forcing me to manually log out and then log back in before it will work again.
I love that I can watch the live shows or most episodes of my favorite shows. I love that if you choose the season of show it will autoplay. I hate that when I'm watching a season of the show, if I've already watched an episode it will skip them until it gets to ones I didn't watch. It would also be nice if, when I started watching an earlier season, once finished, it would auto play to the next season.
I originally had a problem with the app opening. I sent an email to the science GO people . They were able to update their app and sent me word as soon as it had been done. I reloaded it and it works wonderfully now! I love being able to watch Science Channel on the go!
Every time I try to link my tv provider (directv), it's says something went wrong. It works for History, and worked for science up until about 3 or 4 months ago. Now nothing. It will not link.
