A way to organized the list of seafood by sustainability would have been more useful for meal planning that an alphabetical list. On the Seafood Watch website, you can get this information based on your zip code. Without a way to reorder the list this app isn't really useful to me. Having to wait for that video after launching the app is pretty annoying.
Not only does this stop let me know what are environmentally good versus bad choices, it also tells you WHY if you want to know. I find that very helpful. Additionally, it goes in-depth and exhaustively enough to be very helpful even in landlocked areas like Nevada, where we don't have the luxury of buying direct from supplier.
GREAT app! Like many people here, at first I was alarmed it hasn't been updated since 2016. But that's just the interface-- the actual software design itself. If you look in the actual app, they have tons of updates from this year, even just last month! Ignore these people. This app is solid.
At the very beginning it warned me that the app was meant for an older version of Android & may not work properly. It loads very slowly & I get messages saying that it has no internet access when I am seated less than two metres from the router.
I went to a caged shark dive at an aquarium with my family and being Australian I love the ocean life and afterwards they had a presentation which mentioned this app for international use, but because it's so out dated nothing wants to load on my A8. If you guys wouldn't mind updating the app so I could use it that would be appreciated. 👍
This app was useful 3 years ago but had problems. It hasn't been updated since then so I surmise they are not really committed to ocean-friendly seafood.
I want to eat the appropriate fish so I do not endanger any species. I also want to eat healthier fish and this app has not failed me in all the years I have been using it.
This is a surprisingly good app. Trying to navigate the information has been really hard before. This app has helped simplify the process.
Has no explanation of the colorful tags to the right. I assumed red meant it's becoming extinct . But there is nothing for explaining the charts. I'm deleting it
the grocery store doesn't give as much information as is required to use this app. idk what specfic type of each fish or exactly how it was caught...
Really cant use this because it's for an older version of Android.. So until it's updated its pointless for me to keep on my phone
I keep getting a message that I have to update but there are no updates. I'd like to have current information.
App needs to be updated does not all you to watch videos in full view.

Searching A-Z for info is decent, my issue with the app is that its very vague on info about partners and business and such in Canada
I have not used this app yet. The 3 star rating is solely due to the fact that it hasn't been updated since 2016.
Update needed, without it the app is useless
this app provides mostly useless information when it comes to find "shopping for fresh seafood" options near you. It will suggest you Red Lobster??? don't waste your time

mmm, finally a seafood app that isn't "fishy"
This app totally drained my battery.
I have a teenager who has decided not to eat seafood for environmental reasons. This app will help us help her make good choices and still keep seafood in her diet. I do have one suggestion. It would be great if the app had a barcode scanner for pre-packaged seafood. If you upgrade the app to include a barcode scanner I'm totally changing my review to 5 stars!!
Helpful to start identifying more sustainable seafood, but the app needs more proactive maintenance. Currently it doesn't target the Android API version 28 or above and opening on an Android 9 a warning message is displayed stating there is a possibility of bugs and lack of correct permission handling. Needs a rebuild to target a newer Android API to support the latest Android correctly!
Literally hasn't worked on my pretty common Moto Android for a few years. Searches always come up empty.
Great App that gets the job done. Straightforward and easy to use. One thing I would like to see though, is the ability to sort entries by Sustainability ranking so I could decide at a glance, rather than going into specific entries and crossing out/comparing options as I go.
