5 stars when it's working. After the last 12/18 update, videos are not being saved to the gallery ... sometimes. The problem is trying to figure out when they get saved and when they don't. Seems like you can't multitask out of the app. When you go back in, the timer is still counting, but when you stop, then go to gallery, nothing is there. Pixel 2 with latest op system and updates. EDIT: While some of the videos don't show up in the gallery, if I connect to my Win10 PC and and open up File Explorer. Bam, there they are. Moved from a 2 to a 5
Works okay generally but if you record a long video it's split into chunks. Good, and you can specify the size of the chunk. Unfortunately the files created aren't closed properly so cannot be played on a Windows PC. (Added) After changing the camera to API2, the videos play for about 30 seconds to a minute, then skip to the end.
Every time I use it the audio is nonexistent. Once in awhile and get audio, mainly after I uninstall and reinstall it. Whether I let it save to my internal memory or to an SD card doesn't matter. The result is always the same after the first initial video even if I delete it or keep it, there's no audio. I keep getting the message during playback to this video format does not support audio. Transferred over to a PC same issue no sound. What's the point if I cannot have audio.
I really like the app, it is so fun making app. I can shot a video and no one know they are being recorded 😂. There is one suggestion for upgrade. You can also add the ability to create shortcut with different preferences. Like somewhere i want record video with flashlight, but somewhere I don't want to show the flashlight. So it is better if i have the option to create different shortcut for that , isn't it?
I have been using this app so long on my current phone. But recently i have to face a major problem. Until last year, I could change the video extension from this app's settings. so that the video could not be found in the phone's gallery / file manager. But even though I have that option now, extension change doesn't work at all! I tried again and again to change the extension and write anything*, but still the videos are always saved in mp4 format! And visible in the gallery! Fix this issue.
This is an excellent app! Does exactly what it suppose to do. Great work devs! I really like your apps, simple and easy to use. But there is an option that i would like you to implement into this app. It would really be great if you could choose to record using the main, macro, and the ultra wide angle camera. I dont really see an option to do so, guess i'll try diving into the settings again. Anyways thank you for reading it to the end! :D i hope you'll accept my suggestion. Happy new year!
Great app, just wish it still had the old style wide lens widget which worked. I used the wide angle lens most often, and I have tried the new Make Shortcut feature, but it just doesn't work regardless of which camera setting I use(2,3, etc). I know quite a few others have the same complaint, hopefully it'll get sorted out soon.
Does exactly what I wanted. One problem I have though is when I first installed it there were three new icons in my applications. The app itself, a video recorder shortcut and photo shortcut. I deleted the photo one accidentally but there's no way to get it back. And I don't mean the home screen widget. Also, i would like it if there was a shortcut in the applications drawer to switch between front and back camera please. Thanks
This program is quite good. It does everything it is supposed to do, plus some neat features in the "settings." My only issue is that the "Zoom" feature seems to only use Digital Zoom, not the Optical Zoom which is in newer phones. This means zooming in always result in quality loss. Other than that, this App is great and convenient. - If the developers decide to add "Optical Zoom" as a feature in 2020 (Samsung Galaxy S10/S11/Iphone 11 or 12), I am willing to pay for that feature.)
Works exactly as described, including "beta" options that unlock additional features. This is the first app where those annoying start/stop notifications can be successfully disabled. The only additional minor feature I'd like to see is a separate bitrate setting for front and back cameras. Other than that, this app is as good as it gets. Recommended :)
It works as expected and have really nice options to change. Great app. Just have some bugs/issues with the video trimmer. It sometimes works and sometimes don't, I have to click on the scissors several times to make it work and apparently this does not work at all with long videos, no matter how many times I trim, it does not simply do anything. That is why I gave 4 stars. Hope this is fixed!
