Lies. They keep sending me this stupid notification that something in my loves list is on sale. I tap it and it just takes me to the home page. I go to my loves list and everything is the same price. This has happened at least 10 times. I understand it's a marketing ploy (a bad one) but I hate being lied to more than anything and if it happens again I'll open the Ulta app instead just out of spite.
I have never had an issue with the app until recently experiencing several bugs: payment not processed, repeatedly asking me to submit CVV code, clicking edit on payments or saved addresses in account settings section reverts back to menu page 3-4 before it actually takes you to the appropriate page. Please look into this, these seem like easy fixes but they are degrading the mobile experience.
I like shopping at Sephora but this app makes it very difficult. When filtering brands it would be nice to have them in alphabetical order. What's even worse though is trying to find a shade or color. Deciphering a color online without the name or description of the color right next to it is nearly impossible. I'm not going to be guessing for something as important as a shade or color, therefore I'm not going to be shopping on this app!
Great app, but often doesn't respond. The app freezes constantly, and it doesn't get better after closing and reopening the app. Love sephora and their free samples. They also have great customer service. This app is a mess though.
Fixed bugs? Keep getting input error pop ups any time I try to sign in or go into any portion of my profile (which appears as if I am signed in already) tried to reset password and the main Sephora website just kicks it back saying the link is invalid or expired, when it literally has been less than 2 minutes since I requested a password reset link. This is totally a letdown. I need to order and really do not want to have to take my toddler to the physical store
I am not able to open the app right now at all from my samsung s21. It says to please make sure my date, timezone and time are all correct and that this can be done in my settings. Well I went to settings to double check, and everything is in fact correct. It will not let me open the app. Otherwise the app is wonderful. But until this is fixed I have to give it 1 star instead of 5 stars.
It stopped working. I have tried everything from clearing cache/data, restarting my phone, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It does not work at all. Nothing loads; I can't tap on anything. Please fix this.
They did have awesome offers bags w/several samples that U could add to your cart w/every purch. Now Sephora offers are sad and not worth getting. If you choose an offer u can only use it 1x. Ulta has stepped it up! They offer variety sample bags w/purchases of $35 to $80 and these bags contain anywhere from 10 items to 25 items! It surpasses what Sephora used to offer! If I spend $60+ I'd rather get a huge sample bag then The 2 tiny sad samples. U guys lost me, I'm Ulta all the way now.
I love Sephora, but little frustrated at times because of misinformation from CS, but my latest upset is they've had my return now for 8 days & NO REFUND. I was told to call back in 5 days & they could get a hold of warehouse & push the refund through. I called back & was told that is not correct. I might have to wait up to 30 days, then they can try pushin it through. What BS!! Like other customers samples are a hit/miss, usually CS gives me 50pts, but gets tiring, would really like to try.
This app is horrible! It fails to load almost every time I try to use it, tells me my password is incorrect when I try to log in to manage my credit card. I love shopping from Saphora but the app and website is frustrating
Love Sephora, but the app is getting worse. The shade finder feature never works, which was the main reason I downloaded the app in the first place. Always says an error has occurred.
I got a notification for a birthday gift set to choose. But when I go to add a set to my cart, it says check my internet connection. But I can add things i need to pay for to my cart just fine. Also, you may get samples and you may not. You can choose samples at check out but you'd be lucky to get any sample at all let alone what you actually chose.
One of the smoothest apps, easy to use, great products, customer service is prompt and always very thorough.
Absolutely obsessed with this app! Each product has a full description, which makes it easy to decide whether any given item will suit your needs and save you a lot of money! Also, the app has a Live Beauty Help chat, where a beauty advisor can assist you if you're still not sure if the product is the right one for you.
Sephora website and app i really hate to use. If anything out of stock they never updated their products. Really hate to check on each product to check availability. I never saw this kind worst service on any another website. There are many small companies apps and websites and they are doing much better as compared to sepharo. And sepharo is big organizations and doing nothing to fix this issue. Am using this app about 2 years. Many update came but their developers never fixed this BS issue. 😡
The product images are no longer visible. I've updated the app, tried wifi and data, nothing seems to work so that's super annoying when you're trying to buy products. Update: And now, the app won't even load, so even more annoying.
Very very buggy. Barely loads when I open it up. I have to clear the cache before proceeding. I really want to use this app and not be forced to use the browser. Please fix this!
Anyone else NEVER able to submit a review? My app just loads and load and never goes through. I eventually have to kill the app, I can't get it to work!
Needs to have bigger 'heart' icon to be able to add items to favorites. Also, when browsing, the app will show that there are (x) number of colors available but when you click on the specific listing to choose the color, there are fewer options than the preview said there were.
BEST shopping app, ever. I wish all the apps I use had such a beautiful interface, ease of tapping favorites and tapping into community input, and swift checkout for purchases. Bravo Sephora app developers of functionality and content!
The app is pretty straight forward and easy to use, I've made several orders with no problems. The issue I have is the rating system when people give reviews or ask questions. If a review has a personal experience with a product but the majority of people disagree it gets down voted to hell and you can't tell why and it doesn't help to assess the product for purchase. It's basically bullying someone else opinion and not beneficial for future shoppers and discourages others from leaving reviews.
Don't care about their customers at all. Was not aware points would expire and be completely deleted for inactivity. Had over 2000 points to that was saving up for items and nows its gone. Call customer service and supervisor doesn't give two sh!ts about customer care. Said they sent 2 emails out in December, but who the heck reads those million emails they send? Not going with Sephora anymore. Will try ULTA beauty instead. Returning all products that I just purchased today $300+ dollars.
So easy to use to shop and get samples of products to try with every purchase. Best shop.

Easy to use and the cart doesn't just randomly disappear like some other apps I've used. Very easy to use. I would just recommend to add a general option under each category. For example: When I went to look at the products (gifts,possibly) under $20 category, there wasn't an option that I saw to see all of them. I only saw options for each category, which is also very helpful! Merely a suggestion and it could be I just couldn't find it lol. No complaints!!
The app works great when making purchases. However, it has been impossible for me to post a review. It just sits on the loading screen forever and never actually posts. I even got a new phone, and am having the same problem. This is not an issue why my device.
