Sex Offender Lookup

Most of the information on here is completely false! Giving out people's personal email addresses, supposed friends, plus all of the other info without permission takes away as every bit of privacy even if it's inaccurate. Only the offenders should be on here. I thought that's what this was for. I'm not sure where this app is getting its info from, but maybe I should be glad it's all false. Now I feel totally insecure.

It is a great app! It pulled up names in my neighborhood that I had never heard & when I searched the names throughout social media it put faces on the names! I was very pleased w/ the ease of the entire experience. I will definitely be keeping it & USE it often. I have tried another app that promised to do the same thing & yet the OTHER app was a joke. Give them a try I am very certain you'll be pleased w/the results!

This app poses a device for tracking criminals and sex offenders, however it is primarily an invasion of people's personal privacy information and has far more information than should be made public. I also ran a check on my home, and it was not accurate. I can't say how accurate it is for others - but it shows "possible criminal records" for me that I know I don't have. when I tried to check, it required a payment to unlock so it is misleading you for your money.

LOTS of info, even in the free version. plan on upgrading after just a few minutes of browsing out of curiosity. Looks like some data is not completely inaccurate, but largely overshadowed by the amount of info. Very curious to see what's viewable after the upgrade. Not looked yet, but hope it's not too expensive, especially since i installed it out of pure curiosity. It never worked. Every time it generated a report and I clicked to view the report, the app crashed and sent this pop-up, "Oops, there was an error loading your report, please try again." After about a dozen attempts, I'm finished with this app! Every other function of the app wants you to subscribe and buy the information.

I like this app. I looked myself up and the information was accurate (but old), my moms information was fairly updated and accurate. The reason I downloaded it (to see SOs near me) was served very well. I don't need to know their phone numbers or email addresses, but it's nice to know where they live. I babysit occasionally.

im torn on one hand I think it's good to know, but at the same time i think it's too invasive. Doesn't only look up sex offender , but any address has names of people you've associated with. A bunch of relatives. I think it's too invasive on all level. I think this app only causes tension and division.

This app is a joke. I searched my location, it says there's 1 offender in my entire city. I know of 3 within 2miles. I looked up myself, oh man that was hilarious! Only 1 of the 3 #s listed have ever been me, email addresses I have never had, "aliases" I have never had, my location is crazy wrong, oh man. All this app is good for is a laugh.

Its frustrating Tobe forced into rating an app and worse when I haven't had the app long enough to see what it does. I just looked at the first person close to our house and it locks up telling me to rate it. Well there u go I may change it when I get some experience. Please fix that this app took hard work I'm sure you deserve more than 2 stars

5 ⭐ all the way. This is an amazing app a d does exactly what it is supposed to do. In my opinion all the info is very very accurate and up to date. Also the app is laid out very well and functions the way it should. Also the app is NOT bombarded or swallowed up with ads. It's an awesome. Thanks

doesn't seem to be compatible with a Galaxy S6 Edge phone. when reading specific details about people, the button you have to press at the bottom to say you're ready to see graphic detail, is past the bottom of my screen and I can't scroll up to press it.

- The website lookup is address-specific and told me how many potential tenants there are, including a list of some (but my name was absent), their age, aliases, current and past city/state. It ***does NOT*** tell you which, if any, are sex offenders in this list. If you click on a person, it starts loading a report, with teaser questions at each stage to increase your interest. It takes several prompts and many more minutes before it asks for your name and email address. Finally, after several more minutes, it tells you the cost: $27.78 for 1 month or $46.04 for 2 months. Access is then unlimited. After declining that offer, it THEN offered me the $1 trial for 5 days, after which the price would be $29.89/mo. Why the price went up, I don't know. - The registry search is name-specific and asks a few questions to help narrow down the list, then it starts loading. It then proceeds in the same way as the lookup, meaning that it actually takes longer. - With the app, you can search by person, phone, email or location. I tried by my location and it brought up some info about where I live and a partial list of current (and past) residents where I live but, of course, I'd have to pay to get anything useful about the residents. After that, it lists crime statistics (city, state and national) back to 1997. It then showed a list of registered perps in the area, showing a photo, name, charge(s), and address, with the option for more information. The additional info section provides more data about the person and includes an option to search for more info. That search brings up multiple people, and the details shown give a bit more info to encourage you to buy a report. There doesn't seem to be any ability to define a radius for the search, so I can't even find out proximity to any predators. After that is more info about the property, census info, demographics and top places for 45150 (tourism info). - ***Thoughts***: The website lookup and registry features are useless marketing tricks to waste your time (10-15 minutes) without giving anything useful unless you pay. The app, on the other hand, provides useful information to identify sexual predators around you. If you just want a basic understanding of the predators around you Given that credit/background check services usually charge $25/report (or more), this is certainly cheaper if you're looking for more than one person, and it supposedly provides a great deal of info about the person, including social media and government reports. One further note is that reports from credit/background checks can take up to a couple of days, but Truthfinder said the report was ready, implying no delays. For me, what the company claims to provide is way more than what I'm looking for, especially since what I want I can get free from some of the listed resources. I wouldn't bother using their website, nor would I pay for the extra reports from the website or app, but some people might want them.

For free you can see listed sex offenders in a certain area (which you can also do online for free because of Megan's law). Otherwise, all other features (including criminal checks) are outrageously expensive. It would be cheaper and more accurate to have an actual background check done.

Very vague and redundant. Very old and outdated info. They use the key word "possibly" to include info that is not relatable at all and they do this to beef up the "report." The app seems pointless unless you pay for it. And even then I can't truly say because I dont want to pay and find out.

Like other reviews have said, there's no option to lookup your area for sex offenders AT ALL. It gives you something compared to a background check with little info and the more sensitive info comes at a cost of course. Used to be a great app, not anymore.

I give up on this site. I downloaded it and put my address in to see if there's anything you or me. I clicked on a person and it went and downloaded some of his information but if I wanted to do more information I had to create account. So I put my email address and a password. And it says count already exists just sign in. So I signed in with the email and the password and then it tells me that the email or the password is not correct. Tried it a few times and just got tired of it.

Nice map, decent search capabilities. Rediculous cost a d compete bait "search" animation gain access to useful information. This is all public record. I don't mind paying for a user interface to simplify my queries, but this is just stupid

completely inaccurate. it's just click bait to get you to make a purchase. To respond to their response, it has nothing to do with the free vs paid version of the app. There is just factually incorrect information, they cover themselves by say "possible records".

Not a very accurate app at all. It's simple public records that you could look up but it only showed like four people in my entire city that were sex offenders... And you couldn't enable the map feature it all kept saying that location was not on which it was

This app is amazing ! I've never seen a more accurate report. It lists my home, it's value, also when I bought it, who's lived there plus all my neighbors and their address along with predators around the area .thank you for such an amazing app.

I typed in my address and name and it showed me all of the tenants living in this 10 family building!! Some people don't live her anymore so it's outdated. It also showed information that is WAY outdated. It's showing my married name, and I've been divorced for a good 18 years. Is there any way to fix this? It is scary that people can find anyone, including their cell numbers! But sometimes it is helpful! Can someone help me with this problem. Also, I didn't see anything that would help me with any sort of sexual predators in my area. Maybe I need to look around the app a bit more.

Wildly inaccurate. I checked myself to see what info is out there and I'm thrilled that most of the info about me is wrong. Great news for those like me who dont want our actual phone numbers and email adresses out there; bad news for this app. Thank you and please keep up the bad work.

The name is deceptive. This app contains public records of anyone-everyone. Not limited to persons involved in criminal activity. Admittedly, the info is VERY outdated. This will become apparent if you look up yourself, family members or friends. Outdated Phone Numbers, email addresses & BOGUS associates will show up. Seriously, phone numbers & email addresses from 20-25+ years ago will show up in the listings. And the so-called associates show up if they ever lived in the same address.

Frustrating. Over 5 minutes of "searching", being asked questions, then asked to set up an account, only to be told I must pay for a membership. I would have rather paid for a decent app upfront. Very deceptive practices. Either make the app free, or charge upfront. Uninstalling this worthless junk.

Amazing app! As a father of 3!!! I thank you, thank you for making so easy! These are people that are around our kids and in the neighborhood and we have a right to know! I appreciate this unlike the other app that has $5 million downloads but it's just ads and wants you to sign up for this and do that, ooh and fill this out!!! Like seriously! Haha

I liked it. I can confirm that most of this app was accurate, as someone who has used the National Sex Offender Registry, this app is sourcing its information from there (and not lying). Didn't shove ads in my face, either. Get it. It's worth the phone space. This app helps me avoid the wrong streets when walking my dog and helps keep me safe.

it pulls up a lot of related information not all of it is accurate tho. it will only let me look up one person before it gives me an error and wont let me look anything else up or it wants to pay to continue. if this is free information why are they wanting a payment and why is it so expensive? if im 27 to 67 dollars I should have unlimited access not one to three months..

It's a great app but I wish u could zoom their pictures to see them better instead of a small tiny picture. Some people may have bad eyes...but overall great app..I do hope u guy will change the size of pictures for better visual

VERY deceptive app providing very personal information about people! was able to locate many people who I know for a fact aren't on the sex offender registry, my husband and myself included. Discussing with legal team to see if this is even legal. IN RESPONSE TO THE DEVELOPER'S RESPONSE: maybe you should rethink the name of your App. calling it a sex offender lookup app is very deceiving to users when it doesnt actually do that.

Doesn't show any sex offenders in Illinois! Even when you zoom in close....not a single sex offender in Aurora, IL. This app is inaccurate and wrong. Does not work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and got the same results. Next!
