Shopmium - Exclusive Offers

When the app actually works properly, it's great, but when it doesn't it is really frustrating to use. I had a cashback offer refused despite buying the item from the correct store and submitting the correct receipt. And because there's no option to challenge it within the app you have to go through the useless help centre, and the option to attach a file to your ticket doesn't work. The app sorely needs an option to challenge an incorrect refusal directly, and a help centre that actually works.

The most recent cosmetic update awful. So much of the space is wasted with needlessy large banners and logos, and the scrolling splash advert at the top of the page. The adverts that play once you select an offer are entirely unnecessary. If you have selected an offer, you already know what it is, there's no need to add the additional screen that tells you what it is again - It just adds another step to getting where you want. Edit: marking down to 1 star as the pre offer ads are so unwieldy

Hate the new layout, it's completely un-user friendly, glitchy and so I've stopped using it which is a shame as love shopmium. You have to go through to many options to get to the information you actually need as it is buried away, the old layout was easy, intuitive and no hassle at all. Please change it back!

App was great when it started and i rated 5* in my old account but sadly gone worse. New update outlook is more clunky. Used to be able to see offer details once you press anywhere on it, now has to be on discover this offer. Some offers disappear before you can claim although at start of the day showing as ongoing or few days left. Customer service does not really read what you send (they used to). Now they reply you with generic lines. Map is absolutely unreliable for availability.

The app is terrible. I cannot get a referral code for my friends. I had to use the website to add my personal details. I've had my first payment and the app still says it's waiting on my personal details even though the money has gone through to my account. I would have left more stars if I could refer through the website.

I only ever use the offers for stuff I had planned to buy in the first place unless there are relatively expensive things for 50p-£1 as a trial offer and ive been wanting to give it a go. Since having the app I've managed to get nearly £60 cash back on nearly 100% of the stuff that I would have purchased anyway. Super pleased

I loved this app. Now I can't sign in. Password doesn't work. Cones up with register/log in. Have reset password and still doesn't work. I have invested time and money for what!! No response from help.. not even an automated email. Why does my verified password no longer work! If no response I will be uninstalling. I have contacted customer services and guess what...nothing...not even an automated to reassure me that its even acknowledged

Downloaded the app after watching an in-app advert which said all you need to do is take a photo of your receipt and scan the barcode; "it's that simple". However, the reality is, you're presented with a cluttered UI with no explanation as to how the app works. The claimed £74 saved in the advert is clearly a lie and most likely breaches ASA regulations. Uninstalled the app very quickly.

Have been using for a number of years. But after installing on a new mobile, the app doesn't open past the opening screen. The link provided for help doesn't work.

I've had this app for years and never had a problem until now...... Ive brought 2 items to get my cash back website won't let me upload my pictures and an error message comes up when I try to look at the new products. I've emailed Shopmium twice and haven't got a response my Gold status will be gone in 8 days.... I've also deleted and reinstalled the app.

It's OK. Some of the offers aren't that great - 50p off a £4 product. But some are good. Some are for products I simply can't find in the supermarket! Downrating just because of the terrible misleading adverts for it!

Good offers, payment straight to bank account and you can check barcodes whilst shopping. Only downside is they want you to scan the barcode after photographing the receipt, and sometimes I forget so have to dig stuff out. Would be better if they either dispensed with that or allowed you to add products as you shop / stow away.

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. DON'T INSTALL. at first it was ok, but for a while they became very frivolous. you are tempted to buy, thinking that you have the opportunity to try new products that you would not afford to try at their full price, but when you upload the receipt, you get refused for some reasons that cause a big concern: the receipt looks different (I don't know how it would look different if it came from the till). but these are just reasons not to pay you. Very disappointed.

The application has given me the option of trying new products at reduced or free costs. I have had a good experience with this application highly recommended trying it out what have you got to lose? The new appearence carries a lot more visible information about, and where to buy the product which is very helpful. Unfortunately a number of items are not available in the shops while they are on the application.

Unfortunately, the advertised offers are not always available. I bought at item at Tesco (I scanned the barcode which confirmed it was eligible) and was waiting for cashback but the customer service turned around and claimed it's not available at that store, without giving any proof and by conveniently removing the promo from the app. It's laughable they didn't honour the cashback despite me reaching out.

Apps great for trying new things, cashback is quick and it is easy to use. But the variety of products on offer and places to get them is quite limited especially if you don't have some of the stores near you or use them.

Latest update has really let this app down. it's cluttered with so much going on it's hard to find what you want to see. The pop-up menu bar at the bottom is annoying as it moves about constantly - just have it fixed at the bottom of the screen. The premise is good and cashback is refunded quickly once submitted but the new look is off putting and needs a rethink.

I loved the old app. It was simple, intuitive, easy and quick to use. It also had a map with shops selling products. The new app, in my opinion, is awful and annoying - not user friendly at all. The design is cluttered but at the same time lots of space is wasted. To much scrolling required to find required information.

I absolutely love Shopmium but, unfortunately, the latest update is not user-friendly at all. The design that was changed completely and suddenly is so cluttered that want to close the app as soon I open it. It's difficult to find what you are looking for and scroll throughthe offers. Please review the design and consider introducing future changes gradually instead of a major overhaul of the familiar format to make sure users have an opportunity to get used to the changes.

When we want to take a picture of the invoice, we are not allowed to simply do so and upload it, instead we are forced to take the pic through the app. It is very unpleasant, as the auto option doesn't really work and with the manual option, the pics are all the time blurry (I don't know why, I don't have this problem otherwise). It just makes us waste a lot of time to just take that damn picture, when it would be so much easier to take it, then upload it. It is so annoying every time!!! 😣

Mostly this app is good but I'm finding that in the current version items are appearing under a particular shop's tab are not meant to be there, as the store either doesn't carry it or they aren't part of that promotion. This, even after refreshing etc. Also, I *HATE HATE HATE* music appearing in the ads for offers. If I'm listening to a podcast or music or whatever, I don't want that to be interrupted.

The interface could be cleaner, but it works well enough. Just be careful though, some items have multiple options, and I thought that meant I would get a refund on each different flavour, but that's not the case! Reading the small print in the supermarket isn't great though, so check before you go. They pay out okay mind, so worth doing. 🙂

The 1☆ rating is for the latest update. I hate to do this as I loved the previous app. Offers are no longer as clear as they were in the old app & you have to scroll for information which you need to know. Its just more cluncky. The old simple design had everything you needed to know on screen, now its a fancy interface but less informative. Also the new app logo doesn't stand out as much as the old. When trying to leave feedback within the app as prompted you can't as the keyboard won't display

I bought a number of items because Shopmium said I would get cashback for them. I requested cashback, the app says it had been processed but I've never received a penny and they haven't responded to my repeated messages via the app and via email. Wasted money I can't afford buying items I didn't need. Do not use!

normally apps are updated to get better performance but i really want to say what are you trying to do with latest version. i do not really care about the offers other thing but i have issue with my stored shopping cards. in the new look app you have made card's barcode that tiny that it is impossible to scan on the the tills any more. can you please explain why it has been done and did you try it yourself or had a look at it? The bar code is smaller than actuall fob key as well.

Great app, easy to use. I have enjoyed trying new things and had loads of freebies. Knocking 1 star off as it is not always clear enough if more than one product in the brand on offer is part of the Shopmium offer and i have bought things i wouldnt normally and have not been eligible for cashback.

A great way to try new products at a reduced price, sometimes even for free. (One star knocked off for the grossly misleading Shopmium app advert where the woman claims to save "£160 every month" using the app and for her ridiculous pronunciation of the word "purchase". Complete tosh!)

I like the app, who wouldn't want items for free? The repayment process is smooth and issue free; however, the £3 friend referral process is clunky. The reward benefits are false, at silver level, customer service is supposed to reply to you in one working day or less and that hasn't happened, I've shared my referral code but it still shows as something I need to achieve, but that's me being a bit fussy. The products are limited and many you can only find in larger stores but they're ok.

New app design is not good. The fonts are difficult to read in places especially white on hot pink background. The details of an offer are not easy to see or find with extra clicks and scrolls on top of the bad colouring and design. Please reconsider some of this soon. No idea what the crab mascot is about - just seems pointless like its aimed at kids. The whole app overall looks childish and like a cartoon game which is very off putting.
