This is unnacceptable. Considering the price of this application, the UI is awful and only made for tablets. You're stuck in horiz-mode. The "practice mode" cannot be desactivated and is a real pain. Wrong note ? Have fun replaying this entire 2min part in slow-mo with a terrible animation. The sound design physically HURTS being being so bad and loud. You learn *no part* of music theory. Like, really, it's a glorified guitar hero. Where should I put my hands in the Intermediate chapter ?

Pretty good app up until payment wall. I don't mind paying because the lessons are well designed and the app is great. I do mind that there's no monthly payment option. Also, they only proposed 2 payment options : PayPal or input your credit card numbers. No google payment - which means if you have an issue or want to cancel, you're guaranteed it will be near impossible. Also, no idea how robust their app is security wise - so don't give your credit card details obv. Shame...

Fantastic teaching app well worth the money. Was complete beginner and I've learnt so much. It's quite addictive. My two complaints are that at least once during each session the app crashes and restarts, but without connecting my laptop to the keyboard and losing my place. I have to shut down my laptop and restart everything. Second thing is a request...please can you get some more british bands/artists work on here - its very American biased...What about some Beatles, Oasis, U2, Adele etc?

The app seems quite good, but I cancelled my subscription during the trial period because it was unable to "hear" my piano at the same time as playing music - a fairly important feature. However, I have still been charged the full amount and my email to the developer requesting a refund has not received a response despite several weeks passing. I am hoping it's an oversight rather than a deliberate scam, but am pretty angry about it.

The app is great in principle, but it doesn't seem to be able to "hear" properly. It stops me in the middle of an exercise to do a remedial one, falsely marking many correct notes as errors. My piano is in tune and it happens even with slow, monophonic pieces. There's also a latency problem, where to have the app hear the note on time, I have to play it early. This is incredibly off-putting and frustrating, and I can't see a way to fix it in the settings.

I love the app. As a first time piano player, I'm very happy with my success using simply piano. I've learnt alot at a pace I'm happy with. My only complaint is that it doesn't always recognize my notes and it takes longer to get through the lesson. I still learn and the notes definitely memorized but sometimes frustrating. I think if I had a midi cord it would be great. I'd give the app a 4.5 stars for sure. Oh ya the songs they have are fun to play too!

Really easy hands on teaching for people who can afford it. Be careful with the free trial, it bills for a whole year afterwards so you'll be slapped with a major bill. The app doesn't give you the possibility to pay monthly, only 3 or 5 months at a time, so it's very money-grabby and expensive. That's why, despite the quality, I chose to uninstall.

It is a good way to learn the basics, i just found it frustrating. When my tempo was out, i always had to go back to the beginning there were also not many songs i enjoyed playing. Just my taste i suppose. It was also very difficult to access my account. I wanted too cancel my subscription, but the support on the web is not good.

Good, but too expensive. We won't be using it past its free trial. Such a shame. I'd be happy to continue with the yearly plan, if it didn't charge in one upfront payment! Make this a monthly only payment option, and I swear you'd get many many more subscribers. You must be loosing so much potential revenue for only allowing upfront payments.

Love it! However It is bit frustrating to have to train a whole song when you just need to improve a small part of it. It would be very helpful if it was possible to go through a part of a song not having to start the song from the beginning. Or if the training lesson for a song, could be broken down into smaller parts... Maybe even if you could navigate through it like you do in a video by dragging the cursor through the "time line". Apart from that, it is 100% for me.

So this is a pretty good app with systems that let you learn piano quickly. However, it has one fatal flaw. It keeps detecting certain notes as correct when I get them wrong and it's making it incredibly difficult for me to learn. I wish there was some way to calibrate it to your piano specifically or some fix for this glaring issue in an otherwise successful app.

It's decent...but one big issue that should be addressed. The app picks up other noises too..even when I've reset the volume on it. It just doesn't seem to help. If the app actually picked up the piano notes it would be more enjoyable...but with this big issue it makes it hard. It's a good app and I like the 7 day free trial. Although I don't see the worth in subscribing to an app that doesn't work properly.

kyl. a. Mar 27, 2022

This app was awesome up until Friday. Now it just stops picking up notes, turns everything red and is super frustrating. I've been using it since December with no issues and now it is almost unusable. I was really doing well with it too which makes it even more frustrating to think of starting over with something else. I tried tech support but they had 0 answers.

I clicked that I have experience at the beginning then it took me right to the beginning of the course and won't let me move up unless I do all the lessons that I know already. You can't pay monthly on the year option, you have to pay the whole £134.99 in one go which is beyond ridiculously stupid. For some reason it refuses to recognise E on my keyboard but it's fine with all the others. Definitely not worth your time.

Eli. H. Apr 18, 2022

Certain aspects are good - guided learning, quite mindless regarding how to learn the piano. However! It is incredibly stupid that inputting your prior experience does nothing and you have to do everything from the start. There should be an option to unlock all course info if you pass a test, eg play a song of this course for example. Ready to quit when doing super slow practice of something I don't want /need to practice. Also sound detection not great with my keyboard during a song or drills.

I'd your getting this app because it's free it's not it makes you pay after a few lessons. If not then the app doesn't pick up notes correctly I played c 4 times in a row for each lesson and it said it was the right note, further more during the 'linking' I was eating chips and before I played the piano it said it was good and it could hear the piano. I WAS EATING CHIPS???? If your fine with those things then I'd definitely recommend this app though.

Moe. Z. May 27, 2022

I have been using this app for more than one year almost everyday. It's iPhone version is great without any issue but voice recognition (played note nad key) in Android version is awful. The correct note is detected as wrong and wrong one pass. With Android you have to use Midi connection.

ede. p. Apr 6, 2022

great app, really great you've sent this tool out into the world! Steps for improvement: let them pick the pace! Let the person using the app decide how fast they learn, slow would maybe be two or three lessons on a note instead of just one. Maybe explain in ads about the subscription, I don't have your ads memorized, but I don't think they mention that! Try to make it understand the difference between someone walking down the stairs and middle C. More tips might be added when I use it more

Ash. B. May 10, 2022

So years ago i downloaded this app and loved it. I could only afford the free version so i never continue learning however now i can afford it. I download it only to find out that increased the yearly price from $79 to $150 and now you cant play but a few notes free then have to pay. When i first downloded it years ago i was able to play for free daily for a while! Disappointed in how the years have changed into more about money and less about helping people learn. I did purchase and it is good

Sam. J. Mar 20, 2022

$200!!!! I thought I was signing up for 16/month but instead they took $200 for the full year. I tried contacting them about this and got no reply back. No option to cancel membership within the year. Also regarding the app, music doesn't line up with the notes. Very annoying. EDIT: after reading another review about how they where able to get a refund, I contacted the company again and they refunded me right away.

Rud. Y. Apr 29, 2022

Frustration grows with the app. Lesson is awful. Music is learning a new language, if youre not a native speaker, you have to think in your language and translate. same here, im not fluent, i have to translate the notes and then play them. The lesson portion doesnt compensate. moving notes scrolling by without time to translate, then you miss them and have to start over. And over. Have way more issues but running out of space, app is literally taking the joy out of learning for me

Lov. May 21, 2022

I absolutely love the app, but recently I notice that there is a bug after the recent update. The app doesn't respond to keyboard even though midi is connected. I can hear the synthesized piano sounding on the tablet but the musical notes doesn't change.

Jen. D. May 17, 2022

This app is good but too expensive too and I have to pay for everything for this and so I am not able to do the rest of the song after piano basics it keeps on asking money so I am not paying for anything I can just keep doing the 5mins workouts the. Ya but it teached me how to read piano notes first I thought I will never able to do it and then I learned to read notes in just 2 hours of practice.

sam. Apr 12, 2022

Why would anyone pay for this? It doesn't pick up the notes on the songs most of the time. In the training, you hit one key and it lights up the next 5 so you just miss the whole training session. How is anyone supposed to learn if they're not getting to play all of the notes? I seriously hope no one is paying for this app. It frustrates me more than anything. Would be a great learning tool if it actually worked properly. Great idea, horrible execution. Probably won't continue after trial.

Aur. C. Apr 6, 2022

The app is very good. And the new play feature is amazing with hundred of musics to play, but there is a problem with the sheets in the new feature, it is to dim and I can barely see the sheets . Please fix this problem so the experience with the app could be even better

Art. W. N. May 23, 2022

Good enough app It taught me 5 notes It also keeps saying I'm doing it wrong when I'm doing it right and I hate the fact that all the songs are money and the only free song there is is a knock off Ed sheeran that sounds like a man with a cold u found on the side of the road! So pls make more songs free and fix the sound problem Thank you

Esm. L. May 15, 2022

When I first started using it things were going well, that is untill there was a practice song. It detected certain notes as incorrect even if I was hitting the right ones, or correct if I was hitting the wrong ones. I'm also not sure how the average piano lessons cost is, but I'm pretty sure this is very overpriced.

Bar. R. May 29, 2022

Awesome app, really wish you could disable or at least fasten practice mode. It's such a chore having to be pulled away from the quick music to the extremely slow practice mode that you could probably do with one finger.

San. S. May 25, 2022

The practice mode is terrible. When you are unable to perform the notes, it takes you to practice mode and for some reason the app cannot recognize any of the notes in this mode. It is just frustrating.
