Sleep Sounds

The actual app itself is great! I've used it for years now across multiple devices, and nearly immediately paid the quite reasonable one-time fee for the ad-free option. It's been worth it! HOWEVER, the new install on a new device with the same Google Play Store account isn't honoring that and wants me to pay a monthly subscription fee. It's not THAT great, Maple Media. I love the new ASMR features and I'd pay another one-time fee for that, but not monthly, nope.

I've used this app for 4 years. It used to be great - easy to use with the one sound I like sleeping to and a shut off timer. Now, it's riddles with full screen popup ads after every option you tap. Turn on your sound? Ad. Set the timer? Ad. Go to the app's settings page to leave a review? Oh look, another ad. Ever since they added the overpriced subscription option, they've been progressively making what remains of the app worse to drive people to it.

I've been using this app for years and it used to be amazing. Now no matter how long I set the timer for, the app keeps shutting itself off in the middle of the night which causes me to wake up every time. It used to help my insomnia because I'd set it to 8 hours and then wake up once the sounds turned off. Now it just does it when I don't want it to and I wake up at 3am and can't fall back asleep.

I used to really like this app until the annoying ads started popping up. I live in a noisy household, and I've become a lite sleeper, so it's great for drowning out other noises. I also like that it has a timer so I can eventually fall into a deep sleep.

I love the customization. I wish that there was more variety to the music options however. Some are sad and creepy rather than relaxing. Timer doesn't work. I'll set it and watch it start counting down but wake up to it still running with no timer set

I can't use this app after update on 4/28/22. It shuts down as soon as the screen goes to sleep. If you wake up the tablet the program wakes up. It's unusable. I didn't update my phone & that version works fine! What's up with this?

👉🏼 I use this app each night to help fall (& stay) asleep. It's Awesome!!! I love the clear, clean, customizable sounds. The individual volume controls 🔊 & sleep timer are my favorite parts. I payed for the add free year.

Difficult to maneuver because every click triggers an ad. If ads put you to sleep, this is great. Otherwise, you probably need the paid version. Very disappointing, this app used to be so much better

Love it! I like how its free, nearly endless amount of sounds, and many sounds you can put on top. I personally like multiple sounds such as rain, birds, and zen music. The different sound settings are also super helpful! I fall asleep in less than 15 mins with my selected sounds, and I have a hard time sleeping without it... Would definitely recommend! 😉😁🥰

My family absolutely loves the Sleep Sounds app. Using Google Play Pass, we have no ads for an uninterrupted experience. The features we enjoy the most are the timer and customizable sounds. I really like that it will play without the phone screen on (and even when my phone is in Do Not Disturb mode). The best part is it doesn't drain my battery even when I set it for two hours. Highly recommend this simple yet feature packed app for getting to sleep easier.

Saw another review saying every click was an add so I was skeptical, but that wasn't the case, thankfully, however every few clicks was still and add. Plus they have an add at the bottom constantly so the adds are still rather annoying. Plus the content available is slim to nill. You get almost nothing as everything else is locked behind membership. Over all this app is now ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT and in a pinch type app. Not really worth it and DEFINITELY not worth the price tag for membership

Omg the ads. Every click generates a 15 second ad with the tiniest hit box of a close icon which if you're tired is impossible to hit without it now opening whatever dumb Facebook gaming ad it was. Well now I'm awake. Uninstall

EDIT: problem was with my old Huawei phone, not the app. New phone, it mutes on phone calls, so I now give it 5 stars..... . . I would give this app 5 stars, except for one glaringly obvious oversight - it does not mute when answering a phone call! 🤐 It pauses while the phone is ringing but comes back on loud and clear once you answer. Very embarrassing if you take a call, and hard to pause or stop it while your caller hangs on. PLEASE FIX! Otherwise is helping my insomnia quite well.

The sounds are so relaxing. I love it so much. I hear those sounds while studying, before sleeping or sometimes when feel anxious. This better then the ones cuz in this app, there are lots of sounds which are FREE. So yeah, I remind you to download this app. Thanks!

I understand they need to make money, but this is an obnoxious amount of ads. I couldn't even get a feel for the app because clicking on anything brought me to 30 seconds worth of ads. Absolutely no respect for the user's time.

Was great before the update and now there are loads of ads. Little trick though, when an ad pops up just quit out of the app, close it and reopen the app again

This app is still simply amazing. However, I'm concerned that there's no longer a custom sound of White, Brown or Pink noise that was offered in the previous version(s). Thankfully, I still have a custom mix with brown noise, but I do wonder why the white/static noises are no longer available in the customs menu.

Edit : please also introduce Option for saving a preset with a name like my work sounds combination, my sleep sounds combination, my study sound combination etc The best thing about this app is that it provides you the freedom to choose your own fit combination. I have had experience with some sounds apps and they already have pre recorded sets of sounds which they allow you to play and you cannot really play around with different combination

My favourite sleep app, I particularly enjoy the loud adverts as you switch it on and settle down for bed, the biggest buzz is when you wake your partner up with it and they go ballistic . Fantastic. Next app for me is some kind of military stealth one that sets off an alarm randomly during silent covert missions. Let's hope one exists! Five stars xxxxx

I'm very satisfied with the free version, the price are ridiculous so I will never pay for it. The free version is well done, if it changes too much, I'll just delete it and find another sound app.. there's a million out there.

Easy to use, and does what it says. Nice range of basic choices for the free version. The volume control for each sound makes for a nice mixing board effect to create an individualized sound collage.

More Ads than any other app on my phone. Can't hardly navigate through the app anymore. After each selection there's another Ad.

Used to be good, now it glitches all the time and there's ads in weird places. Used for a long time, do not reccomend.

i usually dont rate apps on the playstore but when i started using this, i felt it was really worth it:) This app helps me feel calm and sometimes even sleepy..,The feature i loved the most was the one in which i could customise the sounds. Its a great app 😁

I literally can't sleep without this app! I live in the city, but grew up in the country and was able to replicate the sounds I was use too!!

I have had this app for a few years, thought it was great 5 stars, then ads so 3 stars now I rate it 2 stars as has too many ads. Wish I'd never updated.

I love the options of different sounds that help empty my mind while listening as I fall asleep!
