To use the SonarPhone App in anything other than “Demo Mode” you will need to connect to an existing SonarPhone Sonar WiFi Transmitter or purchase one of the three options yourself. The T-POD (SP100) is a ultra portable WiFi transmitter systems that has a self contained battery and can be pulled behind your boat, cast or thrown from shore. The T-BOX (SP200) is a more permanently mounted system that is mounted in a boat with access to a 12 volt power supply (not included). Or the T-BOX (SP300) which is the T-BOX mounted on its own 12 volt battery pack to make it more portable.
SonarPhone delivers a multi-color color display plus it offers a robust menu of features you will be able to “Test Drive” by downloading this SonarPhone App and play the system in the “DEMO” setting.
The SonarPhone App includes 17 language options: English, Spanish, German, Polish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch, Finnish, Russian, Italian, Czech, Danish, French, Swedish and Greek.

Before you buy the Vexilar Sonar please note that this system only works on Wifi and you cannot pick-up internet on your phone or tablet while on this app. So if you bump internet off your boats system for other devices your screwed. This means gps wont work either. This forces you to pay for extra services for your other devices. Waiting for a company to do it via bluetooth which would of been smarter. If you use your phone only you will be ok.
After about 2 years of not being used, plugged in and turn on. Connected with Galaxy S8 and works a dream on my Yak. For simplicity and ease this unit has been the goods for the last few years.
I've only used it 3 times now it doesn't work. Now you want me to pay $60 for a replacement how about you send me a replacement for free for something i've only HAD for less than 2 years.
Awesome app very accurate fish finder mapping everything it comes across from depth fish bushes etc.
please change depth alarm sound to some ALARMING sound. the current dong sound is useless and barely hearable

I was very interested in this device until i found out it only has a single beam. Vexilar needs to come out with an ice fishing version of the t-pod. Deeper already has a dual beam which would make it usable for ice fishing. It is already October of 2014. Ice fishing season is upon us. If Vexilar cannot come out with an ice fishing version of their t-pod soon, I will buy a Deeper unit , which is dual beam and suitable for ice fishing. It's your call Vexilar.
This product is great. Gets me on the fish everytime. Accurate, even more so than some stand alone sonars. The interoperability with Navionics makes this real nice when you spend alot of time on the water. And you can use several displays around the boat on one transducer. Awesome
Most of the bad reviews on this product are due to human error and buying it for things it's not meant to do or a complete lack of knowledge as to what it actually is. This is an app that has to go with sonar you have to buy the sonar in order to use the app. I have used this for about a year on a 16 foot Lowe fm165 and it works great. It does have some bugs but what doesn't. For the price it's great. You can use it in conjunction with navioncs to mark spots and set way points. It creates its own wi-fi signal and works OK sometimes it does disconnect but it only happens occasionally and it's super easy to reconnect. The nice thing is everyone in the boat can connect and use the signal.
Just watching the video on the competition (deeper) and saw it has a flasher mode for ice fishing. Sonar phone is a great product but that would make it much better. Works great beside my Vexilar fish phone cam. Correct me if I'm wrong but the tech is already in the ball just need some software to make it happen. Please, make it happen... Can't give it more stars as it is an inferior product to the competitions without it. Everyone else who owns this should make the same request. Still waiting for an update from vexilar. *Update from me is sometimes the app suddenly says it is disconnected from phone even though phones Wi-Fi says it's connected. Have tried rebooting phone and also turning off Wi-Fi and reconnecting, which it does but software won't reconnect, say no signal found... Only solution is pulling it from water and wait for tpod to shut off before rebooting and using. Reconnects and works fine after that.
Don't kid yourself this is a toy, not a real fish finder. It's very unstable and loses wifi constantly. No downscan and overall poor quality basic sonar. I realize it's inexpensive, but you really get what you pay for.
I fish alot of paylakes and seen the competition (deeper) has an app. that marks all the spots so he knows where to fish next time he comes back. Wish I would have known this before I got the t-pod.
Only had it for a week, but so far I really like it. Combined with Navionics it work great. Have had a problem with my tablet losing the connection but my phone keeps the signal fine. Grate buy!
I have had mine for 4 or 5 years, and this is a great product for the money. If you Kayak this is an absolute MUST HAVE.
The second device that i get from the shop. The first one did not charge at all. The second one does not pass the 50%. Will go and ask for my money back.I really wanted to give it a chance, but it seems i cannot doi it.
Works pretty good for a fish finder, would be 5 stars with a flasher mode added. Hope its in the works, I know I'm not alone on that request.

Want the flasher mode. If not ...next one will be the competitors...
Use it with the Tbox and Navionics. It works well at slow speed but when cruising the sonar does not find the depth..might be a transponder placement issue. Love the auto updates to Navionics .... been able to map small reefs and find new fishing areas not charted.
