Sound Meter HQ
IMPORTANT:This tool is not a professional device to measure decibels. It uses built-in microphone, which was created to capture human's voice. Such a microphone isn't able to capture sounds above ~ 90-100 dB.Maximum value differs depending on kind of microphone you have. Additionally some devices are equipped with AGC (Automatic Gain Control). This system can additionally disturb correct sound pressure level measurement.
Calculated value of noise level is displayed with the help of indicator on the gauge. Range of measurements from environment is between 0-140 dB. Besides current measurement the application displays also minimum and maximum level of the sound.You can clear minimum and maximum measurements any time by using "Reset" button. Additionally the application displays noise power in descriptive way. Available descriptive sound thresholds:10 dB

Program calibration:If you have an access to professional sound pressure level (SPL) measurements device you can use it for calibrating the application. Check current dB reading on scientific measurement device and with the help of calibration menu (calibration icon under MAX value) set the same value using +,
- buttons.

I would like labels for the (min)/(current-or-average)/(max) numbers, even in small typeface. I like the sound level examples moving with the meter. Would be good to have a toggle to switch to a moving graph. Good colors choice. Pleasant to watch.
I have hearing loss. Got new hearing aid and this meter reads sound in normal range, so now I know that sound is not blasting people out when watching or listening to music. This app helps me adjust volume on my hearing aid.
Only used it 2 days but it appears to work well. Responds quickly to changes. The look ofban analog meter is attractive. Then it crashed 2 days later. i checked for an update and thete was none. Uninstalled
Excellent & accurate data, I would recommend to reshape the design, gauge is great, very realistic, but that legend on top make it too ordinary, functional speaking is a simple app that gets the job done.
This app has been helpful to me in documenting the loud music a neighbor plays three houses from me, in case it comes down to calling the police. However, it's the loud bass of the music that vibrates my walls and inside my brain that I don't believe I get a true accurate picture of on this app. But it has helped greatly when I called that neighbor and told him I was documenting his noise level.
absolute JUNK, as a dj i needed a quick way to check levels as i xan not see the meter from the booth, its not even close! everything is 80db even when im pinching 125db with it by the speaker, or silent, dont bother with this app
it's got one of the higher top end sound levels. this one goes up to 140db. I'm planning on using it rate the effectiveness of suppressors.
Started working immediately. Seems sensitive and accurate. A wind noise cancelling feature would be good but probably impossible
Calibration ineffective. Meter is accurate only at calibrated SPL. Useless. Not unique problem though. I haven't found an SPL meter app that has worked well since Android 7. Can't anyone find a way to defeat AGC?
Accurate, easy to use and informative. Helps you realize why you can't hear in that noisy restaurant.
its easy to handle and probably correct as far as it can be but i miss tje vibration aspect...like a traktor makes a sound but worse is, its vibration.
Very clear to read by indicator hand and also having digital which you can use if you prefer if you have to go outside it must be better even in strong winds.
Good interesting app. Gives some readings throgh the microphone....which could be amplifying sound. So its a guess..not accurate.
I can't find any reset, start, pause or end button, but it is reasonable accurate.
Only recently downloaded app but so far very pleased. Very easy to use and it seems accurate although I don't have any other device to check it with.
Just checked it with my dB meter it was with in 2 to 3 dB with my meter I'm very pleased with results will be using it at band practice and gigs highly recommend it 😎
Needed sound meter for college safety classes. Tested them all and this one was easiest to use and best
Its ok. I like that the needdle is stable and not too sensitive. But if you need accuracy, buy the proper gadget...
Works great especially in the bathroom when you cut a fart and you're not sure how loud it was. This takes the guesswork out. Now if they could come up with a smell meter I would be golden.
i tested it in quite a few areas and levels, and it was bang on. very handy app to have in your library *****
First sound meter I've. Nothing to compare it to yet. Just learning to use CC options not max audio.

Looks cool so far, has a higher decibel reading. I'm curious on the surrounding noises in my changing environments

Dont even have time to use it before being asked to rate it. Rating stars wont leave you alone to play/experiment with the app. I am rating it so the stars will go away. Hope it works.

Great App I love it. Bands playing on stage have a lot of trouble with excessive volume. I looked a lot for something like this that could be mirrored to another device with something like a traffic light with red yellow and green indicators of volume so we could look at actual noise levels. I think it would be great because seems like were always to loud or not loud enough. Be nice to know exactly how loud were. Actually playing.
