SoundCloud is a great app. Very useful for finding newer underground music, or using as a platform to distribute your own music. Only problem I have with it is at this point, it seems to be geared 99% towards rap and hip hop. On the main home screen, you won't see anything else as far as music goes. I have no problem with this music, but this used to be something that was geared towards all artists in all genres.
Have been using SoundCloud for nearly a decade and it has always been great, but lately I am experiencing the same issue as some others here where the app has a bug and music continues to play over other apps and still continues to play when I take a phone call. Other than this issue I love the app. Always have and always will. Once this is fixed I'll change my review to 5 stars! Thanks SoundCloud team for everything over the last 10 years.
I love using this music app it super easy. But now these past weeks there a recent problem that make it stop working and you can't listening to any other songs beside the first 20+ songs . A temporary solution is uninstalling and install it back but it keeps glitching again so this need to be fixed. I just don't get it if you go on the PC website it work fine it only the phone app that has issues.
Can't believe I just found out about this app (March 2022)!! I've been using YouTube for music & there's so many downfalls to that - specifically the music stops whenever you reply to messages or anything else. I had heard about SoundCloud before, but was under the impression it was for music artists to share their music. I was oblivious, for its real usage. I love this app! I've already started paying for a subscription, which is definitely worth it not having to see all those ads!
A new glitch is happening right now. I can't add to a playlist, start an artist's station, and add a song up next to a song currently playing. I uninstalled the app and redownloaded it, and it went away for a moment. But the glitch has returned. If there is some way the bug can be fixed, that would be highly appreciated. I love the app, but gotta rate it a 3 star till something's fixed
This used to be a great app. I'd use it all the time until it started just shutting down out of no where. I'm usually in another tab while listening to some music, ( Keep in mind a lot of the applications I use don't have sound so I'm almost positive it's not them. ) but now I can't be in another tab for half of a song until it turns off and SoundCloud just crashes. I've tried to look through settings but this doesn't seem to be a mode. SoundCloud is good besides that, though. Please fix this.
So far I love it. Easy to use and has great gym workout music. Doesn't have much adds i think. Simple, easy but quality app with no confusion with playlist library. Did have a issue is the past when I kept deleting some song from my playlist, but those songs kept coming back out-of-nowhere. I hope it doesn't happen again, it was quite annoying.
Lately Ive had trouble with SoundCloud being VERY slow to load songs, search results, playlists, etc. It will frequently stop responding and force me to close and reopen it. The app doesnt need to be updated so I dont know what the problem is. If it gets any worse Im afraid it will stop working for me entirely :'( Ive been using SoundCloud for about 6 years now and I will be really bummed if I have to transfer to a different app.
Responsive app with great UI design. Definitely the "frontier" of music artists as there are so many undiscovered artists that can be followed here and this is the only place to find their music. Really cool. Love the in-song comment feature, which in addition to the private messaging feature (which right now is desktop only), and the follow feature, make it more social than any music streaming app out there.
Having issues with streaming since subscribing to SoundCloud Go. Could be a coincidence. Stuttering, stopping, and no autoplay. I know this sounds like a connection issue, but I've had the same problem on 3 separate networks, all with strong signals. Can't even find how to unsubscribe on the app. Really bad experience. Update: I have the error "In-App purchase service is unable to connect" when this stutter happens. It happens almost every song.
4 stars because for some reason, the songs Don't come up when we search. Sometimes it's at the bottom of the whole list when you're searching. And sometimes, when I search, an irrelevant song comes up. Overall, it's a nice app.
I love SoundCloud but recently there's been a bug where when you open any other app with sound And the SoundCloud will still continue to play the music over it. It will continue to play your music over any incoming call which is really annoying and potentially dangerous. Unnecessary multitasking. When this is corrected I will upgrade to a five-star.
This gets laggy, out of nowhere my music stops out of nowhere. At least it happens rarely, but it's a little bothering lol. And some music aren't available for my country, even though I tried searching duplicates of the music, uncommonly some are available. However, I love it. I get to skip, no ads. 4 stars, for now. Kudos!
This is a great app for my music, but I have 1 minor problem. When there's an ad I should still be able to stop the Playlist and go forward or backward, but It won't let me (and the ads are so long like I get it that artists get paid but 2 30 second ads that won't let me do anything but pause them?)
I don't know what they did to the app but only samples play when a followed profile is selected. To select any song crashes the app now. Figured an update would have posted to fix it but nothing in a week now. Whatever this new business model is, seems like a bad move. I've been using the app since 2017 and do my best to draw traffic to the app since I can't afford the "Go" service. This won't help expand customers to the app with the new set up.
I pretty much exclusively use SoundCloud for my music, the quality and amount of available songs is great and the ads Aren't annoying for once! Only thing is that sometimes the playlists glitch out and you lose you spot in one and i wish the weekly reccommends were better and there were more reccomendations. Besides that, really good music app! My longterm favorite! Keep it up!
Four Stars! This app is amazing. It has lots of songs that are not on Spotify! (I'm not saying that I DONT LIKE Spotify. ) But...I tried to log in but it wouldn't let me! I also tried making a new account but THAT DIDN'T WORK EITHER. I like the app, but that has stopped me from using it...I hope this gets fixed soon! I still love the app.
Great app, best app for music out there. Only thing is that you guys keep making small tiny updates that inconveniences the app for me. For example, the menu screen for when you add song to a Playlist is changed... the filters for when you search something up has been moved as well. Can't really think of any others right now as these problems aren't major but the updates are simply just unneeded.
If you want the pull down window you have to turn on playback notifications. If you want it to keep playing after you close the app by mistake you're out of luck. It used to do that, but not anymore. I've tried every setting I could find; it's just not a feature anymore. If the Bedtime Stories podcast was available on another app I would switch in a heartbeat.
