It's a BS app. I tried several times to use my password. I even tried resetting but it never sent any texts with codes. Changed password online even. Uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. It just doesn't friggen work. Yes I have Sprint and the newest phones out. Yes I know my account. Wish I could give no stars. Well I guess I will uninstall and keep it that way. After reading reviews it seems like this happens to a lot of people. Get it together Sprint!
When it works it's great. However rest assured when you need it it will not work. We travel alot. It constant kicks my wife and daughters out. So they are unable to be located and they don't know until they try to use it!! Or until I re-add them. Seems to be really bad if you leave your local area! It has kicked me out several times also with notification. I would definitely hate to depend on it to locate a missing family member or lost phone!!
When trying to set up an account you choose "get started" and it gives you a place to enter your phone number and a password. Obviously if you are trying to set up an account you don't have a password yet so I clicked "forgot password" it says it will send you a txt to reset password. It never does send a txt. I have tried for several days from several different phones and it never sends a txt to reset the password. Worthless at this point. Just taking up storage space on my phone.
I absolutely love this app. It gives me peace of mind i can check on my family members so i don't bother them when they're busy. It is very easy to use which helps if I'm upset over something I would seriously leave Sprint if they get rid of this app. Thats how much i luv it. I would look for a cell phone service that could give me this app It also helps if we lose a phone. one time it gave and exact address in Las Vagas and we found it Great app
Terrible app! If I could give zero stars, I would! I am a Sprint customer. It never let's me log in. Even when I try to reset password, it never sends the text to update the password. I've tried dozens of times over the past six months!
terrible I just downloaded it and it asks me for a password and I don't have one so I put forgot password and "supposed " to send one and waited forever and nothing happened. terrible won't recommend this app to anyone. and not to mention my internt signal terrible as well I'm thinking about switching to another company. & yes I have unlimited.
What is happening with this app? It's installed on 2 android phones, one older, other new. They both have version 10.0.8.8 which is the latest according to play store on the phone, and last updated early Mar 2019. Online self says to ve sure your have the latest app version 10.8.0.6. No links available. And the app/program isn't working to locate any family phones on my plan. What happened ? Update 10/8/2019: todayvsame thing as above happening on all the phones, none locatable. No reason why not
I've been trying for 2 months to sign up and just like all the other reviews it won't let me log in with my usual Sprint account but when I enter my number to get a text with temporary password to reset, it NEVER, NOT ONCE has sent it to me. i really need to use thie app. worst of all is scrolling through the numerous reviews all complaining of thr same problems and realizing that not ONE review has a comment, response or suggestions from Sprint.
Love this app. Hate the replacement, Safe and Sound. This app has greater functionality and flexibility. The functionality of Safe and Sound can be found on every free app without paying Sprint anything.
Safe and sound is not as good. Speed working on one of the lives in the account. Never had an issue with SFL. I'm hoping your plans top discontinue the service have changed and hopefully you're working on some awesome updates for the app. Hopefully this rating helps from a 15 yr Sprint customer
About a month ago,early September, my General Manager had his phone stolen along with his wallet out of his car at 4am. I was able to go on the Sprint Family Locator, locate the phone, aid the Police, not only locate the thieves but also have the thieves arrested. He got his wallet, money and the phone back. What a fantastic app helping law enforcement do their job!
90% of the time (better than any other service I've used) it gives the info I want. Less accurate for iPhone's, unless you install the app. That's Apple's fault.
I will not be using the new app sprint is coming out with. Once Sprint Family Locator ends so will our service with Sprint. We have been with Sprint for 10 years and they have slowly taken away all the perks that we loved about Sprint. We even overlooked the highway robbery forcing us to lease our phones but ending Sprint Family Locator is the straw that broke the camel's hump. Utterly ridiculous with this new app that our kids have the option to "join" and accept. Goodbye Sprint!
Very disappointed in this app. I used it for years to give our family peace of mind and now it doesn't work anymore. Sprint doesn't support it anymore so there is nothing they will do. They want you to use safe and found which is $9.99 and each phone needs the app downloaded on it and has to agree to use it. I don't know about anyone else's kids but mine would disable it if they don't want you to know what they are up to. I don't know why they had to mess with a good thing!!
So far not working. Just downloaded app and no where to create account. Requested password reset and no text received! Wondering if this is even a legite app?? Sounds like the exact same problem others are having and "crickets" from Sprint!
Same story as everyone. No option to create account. When trying to log in it never leaves log in screen if you enter a password it just stays on the log in screen. when you hit forgot password it says it will send you a text which it never does. Same issues that a lot of people have. apparently the developer isn't reading the reviews because it's mentioned over and over again.
