I love that you can add and modify content. Everything is nicely orginized but you still have control and flexibility with building characters. My only recommendation is to add a "Feats" tab and then to add the Background Feature at level 1 with the class and race features. However, it's still a really good app!
It's okay...not terrible, but really could use a working "export to PDF" function. Not just "Export a string of JavaScript gobbledygook for any average gaming muggle users, using the software". Also, would appreciate a more easily accessible internal die roller for stats, one that is available and applicable to every page. Thanks anyhow for a great effort, otherwise!
pro: customizable/ con: forces you to; you are capable of putting in whatever you want and it makes it relatively user-friendly. the problem is you have to look up everything from the book if you want additional information. there are other apps that are far superior than this one.
One of the most useless apps for a character sheet. Very limited race, a single specialisation for classes, and a single background. All the while the Dev makes sure to tell you to buy premium ver. Find another character sheet app.
What a great app! I recommend this app to everyone I play D&D with and show it off when I get the chance. Thanks for all of your hard work Shane! I would like to see Otherworldly Patron as a selection for the Warlock. This is something that you get at level 1. Once you select an Otherworldly Patron you gain access to certain spells. Otherworldly Patron At 1st level, you have struck a bargain with an otherworldly being of your choice. Your choice grants you special features. The Archfey, The Celestial, The Fiend, The Ghost in the Machine, The Great Old One, The Hexblade, The Raven Queen, The Seeker, and The Undying are the selections.
Extremely useful app. Fairly intuitive, and easy to get used to. Doesn't contain anything outside of the publicly available WotC content for 5e, which is fair, but the capacity to add your own stuff lets you make up for this with a little bit of work. Much, much faster than building new characters in Notepad, or editable Pdf sheets! Considering getting Pro for the DM features.
I really like this organizer. I just wish that transfers could be done account based and equipment can be based off of backgrounds and classses. I would also think this could be better if you could edit background trait types, because different backgrounds have different traits, whether it is origins, items, scams, etc.
Been using this app for years now, and if you have the patience to add any non-SRD content you wish to use, it works fantastic for character management. The UI is simple and easy to use, and utilities such as Equipment Management and Spell Preparation allow this app to fully manage your character. My only issues are that the system doesn't have a ton of room for new mechanics or variant rules such as Spell Points, custom Stat rolling methods, and DMG Encumbrance.
Personally i feel like this deserves a 5- star review. However, almost no class archtypes have been added when you download the app. 90% of any class has to be manually input to be played. This app forces the user to sit down and do a bit of work to play anything that isn't base class-base archetype. I would love to see an update that adds all the released classes, archetypes, races, items, spells, etc. all in one glorious app. As it is now, 4-stars.
Everything is great except for when using spells. When casting, the damage is set to d4 acid for every spell - if you modify this and add the proper damage, save and go back into cast, it reverts back to d4 acid which is frustrating.
Like that you can send info and characters to players. It's really helpful! Not to mention being able to make your own items and it calculates all the money for you?! LOVE IT! 10/10 will recommend
Ive been using squire for years, and its never caused issues for me, even with hundreds of homebrew features that i added. Its versatile and simple, and i love it. The only reason this is rated four stars is because the full version is worth buying, and since i got it, i keep trying to get my friends to buy it.
It did let you add subraces and races it didnt have, but there are many problems. When all of my objects didnt even equal one platuim coin (5e), it said 18 platuim and then some gold and such. It also had only one backround, and I couldnt choose the beast master ranger. If this is 7e, then I would love to know how to get an online version of the PH 7e. Also, it said I was heavily encombered, even though I wasnt using that varient rule. Please fix these and give options.
I have been using squire for around 3 to 4 years and love how easy it is to homebrew with. I have made so many magic items, races, feats, and other things for my players that this app is literally irreplaceable. I think that this is the first app i deemed good enough to spend my money on, and the pro version is 100% worth the money.
The app doesn't have all of the races, or subclasses, or backgrounds. That's really frustrating. I want to make a mountain dwarf battle master with the soldier background, but i cant do that.
its great, but they should give an option to delete races that you make (i have two warforged since i messed up the first one) and the ability to make subclasses to existing classes since each class only has one subclass as on right now in the app
Definitely the best character sheet app on Android. The UI is uncluttered, easy to navigate and covers everything a real character sheet would. Highly recommended
Was wondering why Squire isn’t in the apple store. Don’t have an android phone anymore. Found my old one, but it has been locked for some reason, so it doesn’t really do me any good. If you put this in the Apple Store I would absolutely purchase it again!! Thanks.
Anyone complaining about stuff not being in from the PHB needs to look up what WotC allow for free use. The app contains everything they allow without copyright issues, and is a fantastic resource if you have the patience to add what you need (or if you can find someone willing to give you the files for it). I have entered in everything for all the races I allow in my campaigns, and will soon be doing classes, etc. Really good time sink for quarantine too haha
Great app, but 2 things. The dice I roll get '1' more ofthen than is realistic, and it would be great if one could add pictures of their character.
Really useful app. Would like more options in regards to subclasses and backgrounds but otherwise it's fantastic. Makes playing D&D extremely easy.
I have been using Squire for a long time! I really like it! What sold me on it, at first, was the lack of permissions required! When the app began requiring full network access, I stopped updating it, but I'm still using it a lot! I have tried DnD Beyond, Fight Club, etc., but this really is my favorite! I have created a bunch of the stuff that's not in the core content. The only issue is that I've no way of exporting it without it being via Google Drive... I wish I could! Oh, and dark mode!
