Very good and useful for your phone. It runs smoothly for the most part, one of the few issues I do have however, is that sometimes the app cuts things off. Like certain blocks of text, there is a simple way to fix this though which is just turning to landscape or zooming out if the particular page allows. Turning on the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator also works fine as well, I have had no issues with it. If you have Steam on your PC this is a great companion for your mobile device.

Okay, so there is issue. I can't even get in steam. I try making a account, but it won't let me in. It keeps saying "you need a valid email address to get in", even though I'm putting in a email address that I have used for 3 years. Also, I have used the app before, and it's a broken mess. It's clunky, buggy, and glitchy. I would rather play sonic 06 for 10 hours straight than trying to figure out how to work this app. 2/5.

App is generally okay. My only major problem is when you search for games etc, the results (including logos) are misalligned and very hard to view the title. Also if you select an item to view it in detail but then want to go back to the results, it takes you back too far and u have to search all over again

I used to use the app all the time, but now I literally can't. It logged me out, for literally no reason, and now I also can't log into my account ANYWHERE, because the authenticator DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE STEAM NETWORK, therefore it doesn't confirm the codes to let you into your account! Ok, so after a lot of searching, it turned out that if your phone's time is even a single minute off from what it's supposed to be, this issue will occur, because it sees a time difference. #failtacular

It works well for searching for games, but when it come to making a purchase 80% of the time it either crashes or debits the money from your account but doesn't recognise the purchase and you have to wait 30 days for your bank to recredit your account. I've had £250 worth of games for Xmas gifts lost and had to wait a month to get my money back. Save losing your money for a month and only use the desktop or website versions.

The app is pretty useless. The desktop web is the only usable steam interface. For example, the video trailer playing control us as good as reddit. The controller is so small, very difficult to use. In wish list, it doesn't display game picure as in library. Game purchase is the only working part and I can figure it out why .

I've been trying for 3 or 4 weeks to set up an account but it just doesn't accept. I've put in all the required information and even dubble and triple checked that I didn't make an error when putting it in. It simply deleted all the information I put in and didn't say anything. No error message. No pleas try again. Just deleted it and basically gave me a giant middle finger.

The Steam authenticator is so useless. I've been trying for almost two weeks to set it up but Steam has the most convoluted and illogical account protection I've ever used. It's frustrating that I can't set up the authentication and due to that, I am unable to access my account. Every time I try to authenticate my phone number through SMS, I never get the text but I've never had a problem with other companies. It's really unacceptable from a modern day company that makes this much profit.

Can't play soundtracks/view artbooks. When posts are expanded in Steam News section, the like button doesn't work. Scroll position not always remembered correctly when going back to previous page. Links from other apps often don't work open store page properly. Just use through browser; you won't have authenticator (email works fine), chat (but standalone app has stickers, emotes, room effects, custom categories, etc.), and some settings but still a better experience overall.

It can be better. Main issue I have with it is the chat. It never gives me push notifications. I have all setting turned on for them to work but the app doesn't work well in keeping you up to date with your chat. It is useful to shop when not on your rig but I wish the chat worked better.

The app is generally usable and fine, but over the last 6 months or so I want to say, purchases have been quite hit or miss. I've ended up with a few cases where I've been kicked out to my browser whilst a payment processor presumably tries to validate the payment, before then going to steam's website rather than back to the app. So I tend to get charged (has been refunded before at least) but don't get the game added to my account. Generally I've just been doing purchases on desktop now

Decent app. Does the job sometimes. Disappoints you most of the times. I mean the stuff it can do currently is what any browser can do. It's just that you expect it to be able to do so much more, and in fact it used to be really good. Also an advice, from my experience never try to purchase anything through this app and especially novaplay

It is useless. Literally a piece of trash. Doesn't work properly on mobiles. Things overlap, videos don't load, pictures don't load. The menu is very clunky and very often it doesn't work at all. Who made this app a 5 year old? Dont bother downloading it you are better off using the desktop version even that has its own problems but at least works most of the times...Anyway steam is a rip off, games usually too expensive and there are no free give aways like on Epic games store or others.

The steam guard feature is reliable (which is what you're using it for 99% of the time anyway), but nothing else really works, at all. I suppose it's annoying that you can get notifications for wishlist stuff and can't view them in the app. Would be nice to fix the app, but I'm not loosing sleep over it.

Awful. Wishlist and reviews won't load, tapping on "add to wishlist" does nothing, and with the new update I can no longer see my friends' activity. Wishlisting could be the most useful feature of a mobile app like this, for when a friend mentions a new game you might have missed and you want to quickly add it lest you forget, but no. You can't even view the screenshots on a game's store page, and they don't seem to want to fix the issue. The only thing it's good for is SteamGuard.

Maybe it doesn't matter to your development team, or you're too busy, but this app is a buggy mess compared to the desktop version. Can't even go to the Steam Points shop and scroll sideways through the selection without it crashing to the Home screen. I fully support you as a business, but when you have time, come and take a look at the app. Thank you.

It's Steam on the phone, and that's pretty cool. Easy access to your library, friends, Steam Store, and while you obviously can't play your PC games from your phone, having access to all of this is great. The only thing that would make this app better is if it was made more to fit a mobile atmosphere. While the layout works fine, it's sharp edges make it feel occasionally akward to press things.

Although I enjoy being able to buy games and authenticate my account using the app, the chat is broken. Messages rarely show up and when they do, are usually delayed. Chat notifications rarely work. Even if you are notified, chat messages don't show up until the chat window is closed and reopened. This can be excruciating when trying to message friends away from the computer. The lack of voice chat is also annoying considering it's present on the PC messaging system. I like steam, I do not like this app.

It does what it's supposed to do. You can buy games, chat with friends and see your library. The only thing that is severely lacking on the mobile app version (at least on a samsung note 9) is the forums section. It is atrocious and unusable. All the words are overlapped; you can't see the topics. I hope this feature gets fixed becuase I use it a lot.

Steam is great, i use it on my computer all the time without any trouble- I almost feel bad giving it a bad review, but I havent seen anyone else address this issue yet. On this version, every time i open the app the screen immediately goes black. (I've tried quite a few times and waited a bit, nothing ever loads) It's probably just a bug but i've uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple times and the same thing has happened over and over

This is a pretty bare bones version of Steam. The browser version has more features. You can't redeem codes as far as I can tell, the Full Screen button for videos doesn't work at all, the progress bar on the video does not go away while playing and blocks some of the video, you can't zoom in on the preview images, the app doesn't remember your place and resets you to the top of every page. This app is only useful for actually purchasing a game, not very useful for anything else.

It isn't that bad if I want to go shopping, but chat is AWFUL. I don't need images or anything, but I would like to be notified of messages when I have my settings set to NOTIFY OF ALL MESSAGES. I have to constantly go back and refresh to see if a message will appear. Also, it only may or may not send a message. Who knows? Fix chat, and I'll fix my rating.

Push notifications still don't work properly and haven't for years now. It's gotten even worse lately, where it just straight up will not work even if you get a message like a second after you switch to a different app. This is effectively abandonware - I'd recommend just using Discord instead if you need to chat with your friends. Maybe once Valve finishes their big UI overhaul, this'll finally get the fixes it needs, but I doubt it.

This app does it job, but I really hope it would have been better in terms of design and functionality. When people typing, it could've been mistaken as them sending ellipses. When you're scrolling up to view old messages, and others happen to type or stop typing, you will automatically be brought to the latest message. Please improve this app.

Good app it has most features the desktop version has. My only complaint is that the app sometimes get stuck in a loop when you press the back button on my phone, most often in the activity feed and in the chat. The page will just refresh endlessly if I press back and won't go to the previous page or close the app as one would expect. There are easy work-arounds to this but it's still annoying.

I'd love to say that it's "just like PC steam for mobile" but it's just not quite there yet. The store is really a mess on mobile and there's no way (yet) to use your Google Play account to buy games which would be really convenient for a mobile app. Messaging friends works great and there aren't really any major bugs. The store just needs major fixes.

Usability is reminiscent of a 2000s app. Sure, you can get the bare minimum done (chat, buy stuff and get the token number to login) but everything is harder than necessary. You can't easily search the store, buying is a slow experience, etc. It doesn't mean integrates with the browser so clicking a limo wpmt get you here. Constant bugs. It's also only a browser restricted to the store - postbacks abound.

The Overall App is useable only. The Interface for the App is not optimized for a mobile. It's like it has been picked right up from the PC SteamOS and put in the mobile. Please make the Chat feature more interactive. I have Unread message but can't find out who sent me those messages. Please optimize the app for the Phone use. Then it might get 5 stars.
