The app doesn't work. Or at least not consistently. When I tried it for the first time, I found it sluggish, it required frequent loading from screen to screen but it worked. Today it's straight up didn't work. Tried to submit my order and was met with a non-specific error message. Attempted 3 more times with different options and was met with the same error. But my payment method was still charged, then immediately refunded. Checked with the payment processor and they say it's on Subway's end.

For the past 2 weeks it hasn't let me place an order. It will let me go through all the options and select what I want, but the very last step hitting the "place order" button has not worked, the app was great before then and I would frequently use it to pre-order before starting my lunch break, but I don't have time to drive there, order, and get back with enough time to eat.

Easy to use. Displays calories, but it'd be better if it showed more of the nutritional facts, even if it is an estimate such as saturated fat, protein, etc. This rating is assuming that reward tokens don't expire, but I couldn't find those terms my first time through. After using the app several times, the app doesn't notify you if something is not available such as egg whites. Only once was I told about substitutions or just not putting my items in my sandwich. Emailed manager, no response.

App is very clunky. A lot of the times you have to re-enter where you are picking up your order. Not very user friendly. Can't delete old favorites, glitches out after ordering, charges card but doesn't show in my history/ doesnt send to the store, has doubled charged and shown 1 order but the store received 2 orders, glitches out when trying to add payment and says there's nothing in cart when trying to check out. Also have had multiple orders pending status after I've already picked them up.

I think the deals offered through the app are great, and it's really convenient to use, when it works. Sometimes you have to fill out your order several times to ensure that you are able to use the discount you are after, which is frustrating. Far more frustrating is the recent problem that has developed where whenever I launch the app, it closes immediately. I've checked for updates, I've attempted to investigate, but no dice. Really unnerving, when considering that they store payment info.

Not all menu items are on it. App is slow and glitchy. Adding a new sandwich to favorites never works. Update: 5/2/22 STILL the most glitchy restaurant app I've ever used. It's been updated so many times and still the glitches persist or evolve and new ones that are more frustrating than the last. Like the fact that i can't see your actual shopping cart/bag so you can never check out. Brilliant, subway, now you really stopping your own business. And the app is sooooo slow.

Dropping my rating from 4 stars to one. The app is clunky, it freezes at a new screen while confirming/ placing an order. You then don't really know if it took the order, waiting doesn't work, closing and reopening sometimes does but TODAY I had no idea, no confidence the order really happened. Only after walking in the Subway door and asking did I find out it DID place the order. This app has gone from "good" to horrible. Consistently inconsistent. Fix it plz.

I LOVED the subway app, it made ordering easy and fun. Recently ordering through the subway app is now difficult and frustrating. When you try to add something to you're cart a pop up ask if you want to add some chips, make it a meal, etc. There's no option to say no, if you try to back out of it, you're order that your trying to add to you're cart never gets added where you have to start all over again and repeat the process and deal with the pop up that ask if you want to add something.

UI is very clunky and slow. Orders are often incorrect, not due to employee negligence, though that still happens on occasion, but due to the re-order function not working. Even if your order is completely correct on the checkout screen, it will occasionally just become the meat of choice and either 6-inch or footlong in size. No toppings, no toasted, not even different bread.

Sometimes, the app works great. Their UI has gotten better and saving favorites and stuff is simple. Every once in awhile though you run into an obnoxious issue where it won't accept payment. The order is set up, the card works fine, but it just won't process which is annoying so I usually order somewhere else when that happens.

Immediately after placing an order, I realized I had forgotten to put in my coupon, so I tried to cancel the order. There is no option. I was at the store already, so I asked the staff. They also have no way to cancel it. So I was out $1.40. The previous time I used then app, it preselected the veggies, so when I chose them I ended up deselecting them and got only a piece of bread with a few olives and peppers on it. There are other sandwich places that let you cancel and are easier to use.

The app isn't awful but when I check my order details, they are always wrong by the amount I paid and how many items I ordered. I like the rewards a lot though and the function of being able to save my favorites. Update: The app signed me out of my rewards account and when I tried to put in my email to recive an option to reset my password, the page kept kicking me back out and starting over. The app is very glitchy and not worth the rewards.

Overall the subway app is pretty easy to use. The deals they offer are very good and can save you quite a lot of money if you eat at Subway a lot. The only issue that I found is it's a little bit slow and maybe it's just my device but it just seems to take an excessive amount of time between screen clicks, especially when I try to look at my bag to see all the items in it. That is very slow.

Twice I chose to use the app to get an advertised 10% discount. Both times the order failed to go through. Turns out, users are expected to know that they have to tap an icon of a lock in the upper right of the screen. Once I figured this out, I noticed that the price in the app was a dollar more than I paid at the counter. It was supposed to be a dollar less (10% off). Expletive deleted. Deleting this app.

The app is very slow but that could be my phone. But that doesn't explain the "unexpected error" message. You can clear the cache all you want but you gotta uninstall it or clear the app data completely and re-sign in if you really want to get rid of it. If you just ignore that error message, your order will not go through. This has happened twice now.

1st time using the app. Attempted to order pickup. Went all the way to pay and got a "error - default" message that the payment can't be completed. Checked my bank account and it had a pending charge for the exact amount my order was. So, I call the store I ordered from and they didn't have an online order from me. Tried to look within the app to find help about my issue but saw nowhere to call. Checked the reviews and that's when I see it happens a lot. Overall very poor app and experience.

I use a lot of food & drink apps & Subway is the worst! Every time I attempt to use this I get frustrated & stressed! Slow loading & clunky going back & forth to order & find reward codes as they don't load automatically. Favorite editing is a pain. App limit on quantity is annoying, as I order 10-12" for a monthly meeting. It would be nice to store the order in the app, and easily order ahead & not hold up the line. NOPE! And the store I go to doesn't take phone-ins. The rewards are nice tho!

This is the second time I have ordered from the app, waited for the order to show ready for pickup, and drove to the store only to find my order had not even been started. More than frustrating that the app seems to be automated and not actually what's going on at the store. I'd rather wait and pickup when the order is actually ready. Frustrated at a first world problem but why offer the feature if it has no bearing on what's really happening with an order.

By far the the most buggy glitch prone app I've ever used. Consistently unreliable and tedious when it works. Haven't been able to use it in almost a week. The 15%Off coupon prompt on opening the app does not respond to attempts to close it, effectively rendering the app inoperable.. Will delete this as more inconvenient than in-store ordering.

App sounds good on paper, but unfortunately seems like it's coded by a 14 year old with no experience and it freezes, glitches out every 2 minutes etc. On top of that you are forced to pick a pre structured sub, has no options to customize what you want what so ever. 1/10 good attempt, has serious potential but unfortunately in the current state of this app today, I'd just skip it. Hopefully they will improve it in time.

Order didn't go through the app. It caused a huge issue in the store because the amount came out of my cash app but the order didn't show in the Subway app so they wouldn't release my order. There was no one in customer service to talk to. I was able to talk with a cash app rep but they couldn't stop the transaction. Very very frustrating!!

If the app did nothing, it'd be a better experience. The app doesn't native have the image assets locallly, so everything has to be fetched remotely. Then it takes forever to connect and pull down the images, then the menu, then the prices, then the store and then the deals the store support, then the shopping cart, then the upsell, and then the final checkout. I spent like 15 minutes ordering on the app, and apparently there might be a dollar upcharge between online and in store prices...
