As of the 2022-04-13 update they removed the newsticker widget in a news app. It was really useful with the current headlines and subtitles for quickly choosing and parsing interesting topics. The new ones are utter garbage. This app was one of the last useful services of ARD. Uninstalled.

Overall good news app for German/European news, a bit poor on the international side, but that's to be expected for a national broadcaster. Unfortunately, except on the very first occasion I used it, I have tried in vain to cast it on my TV. I'm thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling it to see if that solves it.

Decent app for news in Germany. Sometimes the focus is yo much on one topic, but that is a general problem regarding the news team not the app. The app had an overhaul. Don't really understand why. It was ok before and now its still ok. Only thing that became a bit more annoying is scrolling up and down very often makes it change pages to the left of right.

Nags you to enable push notifications. Versions for older Android, like Lollipop, stopped working completely. Also asks you to rate it, but only if you like it.

A surprisingly good app for Deutschtech with public money behind it. The top news concept is really comfortable to use. What I really miss is blacklisting some topics, like I don't give a damn about football or racing or weather. "No news like that" button would do. Besides that good work, kudos!

Something has gone wrong with the last update, for example looking at the map of daily COVID cases. My phone uses a dark background, so now the text at the top of the map is white text on an almost white background. And when typing an area name, when using large text display, it no longer fits visibly in the box. The previous version was fine, this one just needs a tweak to set it back to a responsive design.

It is really one of the most news app i ever used. Very user-friendly and well structured. I like the TOP functionality as it is a quick update similar to social media posts. It would be great if you create a quick link to google translation. Sometimes I don't understand few sentences in German, I prefer to translate it to English.

Would be amazing if it was a native app (Flutter is amazing), but this web-wrapper (Cordova?) is ok as well.

A very good app for those learning German - plenty of topics to choose from. Also, an interestingly dispassionate approach to the news compared with the UK and the USA, where some news readers see themselves as newsmakers and leaders of debate (almost in the French tradition of "j'accuse"). Thank goodness German newsreaders do not see themselves as examining magistrates. And the functionality of the app? Fine!

I'm getting a lot of soccer related notifications. As someone not interested in sports news, it would be great to have a way to it out of those. There's a feature in the app that's supposed to learn my interests, but I can't find a "not interested" button to tell it that.

Very brief and concise updates, and there is always more extensive info available if you want to know more. Now registration or anything needed. Perfect for everyone who wants to keep up with German and International news but doesn't have a lot of time.

Certainly a good source for national and international news. Though the support for Chromecast streaming could be a bit more future rich. But other than that the use is user friendly and simple.

The images are stretched wrong for the news cards. This only dissappears when the image is the start of a video after about 1s. If it's a static image, the stretched image remains.

Nice layout. You can scroll trought the most important headlines easily and if you wants to see/read more, one can just tap on them to read the full article. Videos and more topic related articles are also available.

Good but: the old app had more reports, now only the biggest, most current subjects. Maybe this has them as well but will have to search for them! After updating Android it's much better! Able to choose regions.

The app itself is great and easy to use. The content, however, is outdated and articles are listed for multiple days. I am pretty sure top events are happening everyday.

The app is still really cool but it seems, that a few weeks ago you hired some colleagues with, let's say, suboptimal writing skills. There a spelling errors in every second article, even in the titles. ( Russsland?)

Use this app quite frequently. Once you set the option "regions of interest" you can really start up to date re regional, national and international news. Highly recommended.

Good way to get news without ads.

Well done, could be more than one topic in the local news. Pictures of reporters are irritating, quite big!

I really like the app, it's efficient and well designed. However I would appreciate adding a dark mode. Otherwise than that it is a flawless app.

The functionality is very good. Presentation and display, very nice. Easy to use. Useful notifications.

News highlight pages at start up are a great visual summary, can also be easily browsed or even skipped.

Chromecast restarts the stream over and over again, unless one closes the app while watching on the TV.

I like the new layout, but keep accidentially switching between the tabs when i actually just try and scroll down. Please fix this asap.

Easy to use, has all necessary features but is not overloaded with them. Loads quickly as well

technical issues: 100sec never work on Chromecast. All other streams work.
