Tally: Manage & Pay Off Credit Card Debt Faster

Tally is the first automated debt manager. Tally helps makes it easier to save money, manage credit cards and pay down balances faster.

Tally is only available in certain states. You need a FICO Score of 660 or higher to qualify. (Scroll down to see where Tally is available and which credit cards Tally supports.)

Here’s how it works:

1. Download Tally
In under 10 minutes, Tally can help you get on the path to being debt-free. There’s no risk to sign up and it won’t hurt your credit score.

2. Scan your credit cards securely
Tally analyzes your credit cards and crunches the numbers to find ways to help eliminate your debt and save you money. Keeping your data safe is Tally’s top priority. That’s why all your information is transmitted through secure SSL encryption and is never stored on your phone.

3. Find your savings
Once you qualify, Tally gives you a line of credit with a low annual percentage rate (APR). Tally then uses the new line of credit to pay your credit cards every month. The low APR helps save you money on interest. (Scroll down for important disclosures about what Tally charges.)

4. Organize your cards
Tally lets you manage all your credit cards in one convenient app. Tally keeps track of the balances, interest rates and due dates for each card. That’s how Tally makes the right payment to the right card at the right time. All you have to do is make one monthly payment to Tally.

5. Say goodbye to late fees
Tally’s late fee protection gives you the peace of mind of autopay without the fear of overdraft. As long as you’re in good standing with Tally, you’ll never worry about a late fee again. Plus, Tally never charges fees of any kind — no annual fees, no origination fees, no overlimit fees.

6. Be debt-free twice as fast
That’s it. Tally helps separate the burden of credit cards from the benefits. Keep using your credit cards for the perks and rewards and let Tally handle the hard work. No tricks. No gimmicks. Just a smarter way to manage your cards and a faster way to pay your balances.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does Tally charge?

How does Tally estimate my time to be debt-free?
Tally assumes customers will reinvest their monthly Tally interest savings to pay down balances faster and that they stay a Tally customer until their balances are paid off. Calculations based on actual card data compared to a sample of 1,756 actual accounts.

How does Tally save me money?
You can save money with a lower APR on your Tally line of credit. That means you’re saving money on credit card interest every month. Tally’s late fee protection also ensures you never miss a payment.

This app is very misleading. My wife and I decided to use this app to help pay off our debt quicker and save a little on the interest. It'll definitely help pay our debt down faster because THEY RAISE THE PAYMENTS EVERY MONTH!!!! Granted the interest is lower so it would save me money in the long run, but our payments have gotten so high that it would be easier on us to just keep paying the credit card itself with the higher interest rate. Will be deleting once our balance is paid off.

Definitely not what I was expecting. I linked all my credit cards accounts and it has been in the "let's continue" process for hours without giving me access to the features that I downloaded this app for. Basically I can't access my account or going anywhere it is frozen in the first menu. I feel that I gave them very delicate bank information and now they can do whatever they want with it. Be careful when trusting these apps.

So far so good! Any issues I had, they were quick to respond and fixed it. I was so sick of dealing with the high interest on a few cards that I, unfortunately, had to use often in recent months for various situations. Tally is getting me through this and reduced my stress levels as soon as I saw my credit line and the cards they could cover. Fortunately, I've had a great experience so far and customer service has been super helpful. Tough times, but we'll get through it. Thanks tally!

App was responsive this time but then was denied. I guess this isn't solution for anyone with a credit rating under 800. I didn't realize this process was going to run a credit check and extend a line of credit. However with a credit rating in the high 700s, I was still denied. I've done fine managing my credit card debt on my own. I deleted my account an uninstalled the app.

So, with a few points shy of 700, I was denied, which is fine. However, if you're denied you aren't able to use the app at all? The only options I was given after being turned down was to notify me and close the account. I was under the impression that regardless of the loan status the app had other features. I deleted the app and reinstalled it with the same results.

App is a little confusing to navigate and see features plus the branding seems in flux. Otherwise I absolutely needed something like this but until the UI and ease of use improves it shall stay at 4 stars for me. Also a absolute metric ton of bugs...

Waste of time. They talk about helping you to pay off credit cards and save but the App is only geared towards helping the people with the least need. Persons with high credit scores and income.

Jen. M. Apr 19, 2022

App only works if you're approved for a line of credit... despite what their ads every where state. I was actually more interested in the features of their services with managing my debt ON MY OWN, Without their line of credit. So, I wasn't heart broken over being told I wouldn't be approved. But, I was a little upset it wouldn't let me access the features it said I would be able to access, even if I wasn't able to get a line of credit.

Once again I'm getting screwed by Tally! I got an email telling me to pay my card(which is supposedly to be paid by then) and then also to pay Tally 🤬. Did they forget how their app works?? Now they want me to pay twice!! God how I wish I could pay them off and end this constant aggravation! They do NOT "pay down your cards"! They cause you to pay more 🤬! They don't even deserve one star!

One point is for the app. It nows requires you to login with username and password all the time along with setting up a passcode for easy login. It doesn't work with your biometrics for easy login. The program itself I would give 3 🌟 because while I think it is useful they still have some work to do in order to make the app better. If you ever decide to use it be sure to have minimum payment on autopay for credit cards with your bank because Tally may not pay your card.

This app kept forcing itself on my screen without being installed, sometimes it pops up as soon as I open my phone. No idea why, not even clicking an add for it. One minute I'm reading, the next Google play is trying to get me to download this thing. Stop interrupting my time, I don't want this app and I've never had this happen before.

E. H. May 14, 2022

I have downloaded and uninstalled twice now and linked and relinked cards quite a few times but the app is still not working. It shows everything until I log out an then once I log back in, everything is gone again. Had a lot of potential as a service, but the app execution is not good.

Lau. K. May 14, 2022

Horrible. Stay away from Tally. They unlinked one of my cards and didn't pay it. Then they said they were going to pay a card on time and didn't. I had to rush to pay it. Then they charged me $1200 minimum payment - when my previous minimum payment was $500. This was due to the fact that they had to make a payment on the card they unlinked. So not only did they make me miss a payment, not only did I have to rush and make an extra payment on a card - but then I had to make a minimum payment TO THEM of $1200. Just awful and incompetent. This is NOT A DEBT MANAGEMENT tool!

This app saved my financial life. They pay all my credit cards for me on time and then I only have to worry about one payment a month. They pay the highest interest rate cards first to save me the most money! I don't regret giving this app a try and you won't either.

Van. S. Mar 24, 2022

I've been using the app for close to 6 months now. The past couple of months, I've had to re-link my AMEX multiple times because it automatically unlinks. This has been happening all the time now and Tally doesn't seem to be doing anything to address the problem. I also don't like how the monthly fee always changes. Usually it's doable, but I there was one month that the minimum was so much! I'm uncertain I want to continue using them at this point.

Ada. B. Apr 7, 2022

The rate Tally gave me is higher than the APR on any of my cards, rendering the app useless. I'm guessing they only give good interest rates to those with high credit scores, but people with high amounts of credit card debt don't have good credit scores. That's literally how the system works. The whole idea of this app is just completely contradictory unto itself, because the only people who can stand to benefit from it are the people who don't need it! What a trick huh?

Sha. D. Apr 12, 2022

Amazing customer service!! I was so nervous about trusting this service my financial information. As soon as I signed up, I needed help from a rep and thought I'd have to use some terrible automated system...NOPE! I communicated with a real life person every time! And they were super responsive and made me feel so at ease with everything. Talley really is a awesome. Very easy to use and effective with my debt consolidation. Would definitely recommend!

Cha. B. Apr 19, 2022

This app is pretty promising and for what it does it's pretty decent at it. But it has an extremely small amount of cards it works with and wants to give you (in my wife's case) a 12% loan when her credit cards are both 4%. That makes no sense. So of 7 cards 2 have full payment function and one can't get utilization information (capital one). The other 4 it can't do anything for which makes that part useless.

Amy. D. Apr 12, 2022

What a waste and a scam!!! I signed up for this app and after Tally didn't a credit check, I wasn't qualified based on my credit score. I thought Tally was supposed to help *everyone* with their credit card debt...I guess not. Uninstalling the app until Tally gets their act together

Sar. S. Mar 17, 2022

app works well, application process was easy. it is shady and kinda unfair that they don't tell you what your monthly payment will be until the day it is due. it would be nice to see that during the application process, before the loan is given. I may as well have done what I did last time and taken out a loan with Discover and learned what the payment would be upfront. giving it three stars as a tentative review.

Lis. N. May 13, 2022

I needed to give my credit score a 3 point boost by paying off 2 large credit card accounts... Tally came to the rescue boating off those accounts and saving me money in the log term because I now only have 1 payment, I save on interest and my credit went up more than I expected. Thanks Tally.

Jes. H. Mar 16, 2022

This app is a joke. *NOTE* TALLY CREDIT LINE IS CONSIDERED A CONSUMER FINANCE ACCOUNT WHICH NEGATIVELY AFFECTS YOUR CREDIT SCORE In addition to needing to re-add cards after Tally loses connection to them, the fact that this hurts your credit more than helping it is ridiculous. In addition, if you are even approved for a credit line it will likely be less than you need to pay off your cards I suggest using BBB to find better options. Tally has a D+ rating.

Ale. T. Apr 22, 2022

Great app, but for me the biometric sign-in is not always responsive. Minor inconvenience in an overall intuitively-designed and functional app. I recommend it nonetheless.

Dr.. D. May 20, 2022

My cards get "unlinking" when I messaged to find out why I was informed that my banks were not compatible. Mind you this is after Tally/Plaid had made a one-time payment to the cards. So you know what that means and additional bill for me. Rather the card links or you have to enter it manually be mindful because this platform could put you in a worse financial situation.

Ste. B. Feb 20, 2022

Used to love it. Now my card gets bumped off all the time. It happens often and is infuriating. They claim it's something changing on my end, but my account info had never changed for either card. I also wish there was an easy, in app way to request a credit limit like credit cards do. This being said, I am 90% happy with the service, and it has mostly helped. However, not getting enough credit to cover my cards, makes it very hard to pay down my debt as I now have two accounts to pay, not one.

Ade. A. A. Dec 31, 2021

Okay. So all the advertising suggested this as a tool to help pay down debt and which ones to pay first. It's completely misleading. When you submit the information, you are applying for a line of credit. That's it. Nothing more. There isn't a tool unless you are approved for their product. Simply another credit company looking to earn capital through interest rates. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Dom. j. Apr 3, 2022

This app sucks. It doesn't explain that if your credit score is below 630 you can't even use the app or get an account. I'm not sure if 630 credit score is the cutoff line I know that's what my credit score is and that's pretty fair and they charged me down

Joh. O. Mar 11, 2022

What an awful way to make a first impression. Create account and click sign in, spinning circle of death forever. Install on another device and try login, spinning circle of death forever. And in the middle of a weekday. Maybe try spending more on QC and less on TV ads. PS Come to find out there are fees and it's really a platform to sell loans. I don't have any problems paying my bills, I just thought this would help me be better organized.

Jor. T. Feb 5, 2022

really didn't get a much better interest rate, unable to add all debt to tally, customer service is usually pretty good though. update: I've had a few issues, tally will mistakenly pay the same credit card twice in a month and then my bill to tally is a few hundred dollars higher than I expected. also had tally completely not pay one of my cards and customer service did absolutely nothing to help.

Jac. H. May 23, 2022

Immediate jump in credit score, and best rates I've found anywhere up consolidate debt. I'm very happy so far.
